“Best Luxury Lodge in the Area”
Cherokee Lodge was the perfect place for our family reunion. Spectacular views, great outdoor space, the inside of the lodge is comfortable yet luxurious. The lodge has great amenities with a large game room, pool table, card table and the main living area was a great gathering point each morning. The deck was perfect for just relaxing the day away and taking sunset pictures every night. The beds were very comfortable and it felt like a home away from home. We will be back next year!
“Beautiful, Roomy Lodge in the Smoky Mountains”
Loved the view, the backyard, lots of room for everyone to be together or find a quiet place to chill. Far enough from Gatlinburg to avoid the crazy traffic/tourist stuff. Blue Ridge Parkway is very close and easy to get to. We had 14 family members with us and everyone had a wonderful time, the weather was nice and there were lots of activities available such as zip lining, horseback riding and rafting.
We were attracted to this cabin because it's large and pet friendly. We were completely blown away by both the cabin and the location! It is very private with only one other cabin in sight. The road up is probably the steepest I've ever seen, but it was paved and well maintained. We had a fairly small group (5 adults, 2 teens) for a cabin this size, so there was plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well appointed; the double stoves really came in handy during mealtimes. The living room and bedrooms were all large, clean and well decorated. The game room has it's own refrigerator and kitchenette (very handy) as well as a pool table, poker table, foosball, air hockey and a video game. There is also a hot tub outside one of the bunk rooms. The view from the deck was marvelous and we really enjoyed watching the "smoke" on the Smokies change at different times of the day. It was beautiful. The fire pit stole the show. We spent several nights making steaks and s'mores - incredibly enjoyable. Make sure to either stock up on firewood before arriving or bring an axe to harvest dead timber! Val and Renee were great to work with - very friendly and organized. Note: there is a well stocked grocery store (Food City) about 20 minutes from the cabin. If you plan on spending most of your time at the cabin, it's a good idea to stock up before arriving. The drive up and down the hill to the cabin is pretty crazy. Overall, the Cherokee Lodge was a solid 5 star experience. Highly recommended!
“This was the perfect place for our strategic planning retreat”
This place was perfect for 14 adults...the ladies stayed upstairs and the guys downstairs in the bunk rooms. There was plenty of space and it was very conducive for strategic planning.
“It can't get any better than this!”
This place was great. It was clean, decorated, and in good repair. There were ample bedrooms, bathrooms, and seating. The great room furniture was large and comfortable. The dining room table made our meals feel like we were at the Walton house. The Kitchen had two stoves, which made cooking an ease. This is one of a few mountainside cabins with a back yard, big enough for a fire pit with additional room for or two very large dogs and one small dog. The downstairs double bunk room and play area, along with the kitchen area, really made the chidren's experience enjoyable. Parking was also sufficient. There are other cabins in the area, but not on top of each other. The extra five to ten minute drive to Gatlinburg was well worth the privacy. Sea and Sky made access to the grounds and Lodge a breeze with keyless entry and alarm methods. Definitely worth the cost if you plan on spending a large amount of your time there.
“An amazing cabin experience for friends and family!”
Huge cabin with room for 23-30 depending upon how many sleep together on the 8 full-size bunk beds. Very nice views and good privacy. The fire pit out back was a very nice touch. This is the second highest cabin on this mountain, which is nice and secluded. The roads were cleared/salted multiple times each day during 2" of snow accumulation. We never felt unsafe driving. Overall a+!
I can't say enough how amazing our stay at the Cherokee Lodge was. Val and Renee were very helpful. The fact that there was a yard with the fire pit perfect! I don't think we could have picked a more perfect place to stay. There were 19 of us and we had plenty of room to roam. Everything was great from the washer and dryer to the bathrooms walk in closets, the fact there were 2 ovens (which helps when you have a large group) I can't say enough how much we all loved the cabin. The amenities, location, view and the fact that there was a yard you could go out and enjoy just awesome!Your not so close to another cabin you can see what there having for breakfast. It's hard to pin point one thing we all liked the best at the Cherokee Lodge because it is amazing but if I have to pick just one It's the yard with the fire pit. We did have a minor problem with the checking in thats the reason for for my rating. We are for sure going to return.
“This one proved to be as good as it looked in pictures.”
We loved the home, cooking facilities, all the bathrooms, the walk-in closets and roasting marshmallows outside on the fire-pit at night was glorious. The ride up and down the mountain was a little tedious as we were up and down several times each day. The location was great for rafting, hiking, dinner out and food shopping...and kudos for the starter stuff of soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels and toilet paper. The kids loved the game room, well, so did the adults.
This is a beautiful rental. There was a total of 19 of us in this home,11 adults and 8 children, ages 1-9. There was room to roam in and out of the lodge. The view from the deck is beautiful, the mountains are amazing. We all had a wonderful time. Plenty of room in the dining area with using the kitchen bar. The older kids loved the downstairs game room. We used the fire pit a couple evenings. It is a great rental for large groups and families. A member of our party arrived first and could not get the home unlocked, so he called the owners number and she explained how to work the combo, very quickly and efficiently. My son said she was very pleasant and helpful.
Wow! The View in this place is amazing. I took my HS Seniors on their senior trip and had the most wonderful time the house was large enough that 20 of us fit comfortably there was privacy and group intimacy at the same time! The hill to get there was exciting in a school bus :)
