“A great place to get away with friends and/or family with hosts who make you feel right at home.”
Our family stayed in the eco-cabins which worked out very well. Our parents had the Red Cabin. The kids and I shared the bunk house, and the other two couples in our family shared the blue loft (my favorite by the way). The modern/rustic style of the eco-cabins is incredibly charming. (If I built my own home, I must say it would be something along the lines of these cabins. I'm highly tempted to go back and stay there again solo just to enjoy the cabin and relax.) The layout of the cabins worked well for our little family reunion. Separate sleeping quarters, but a common outdoor living space to eat and visit. It would have been even better if it wasn't quite so hot out. However, the heat worked well for a day swimming in the lake and hanging out in the floating cabin. After which we cooked dinner on the provided grill. The hammock in the yard saw a lot of use, and we loved the outdoor shower. The hosts Emma & Jordan were welcoming and responded very quickly to any questions or needs we had. They made us feel right at home. It was a pleasure meeting them, and I can't thank them enough for making our visit so comfortable. 3 of us stayed for a couple of additional nights after the rest of the family left, and we were offered an upgrade to the straw bale house. The hot tub was a wonderful treat and the home was lovely. We spent quite a bit of time enjoying the view from the porch swing. They state on their site to buy groceries before you arrive. That is a good suggestion as the stores are not nearby. However, the H.E.B. in Marble Falls was a nice store and worth the drive.
“A truly fun and relaxing getaway that we will definitely return to!”
We traveled with a toddler and two young teens. We enjoyed yoga instruction, holistic training AND my husband and I each got a Thai massage. It was all amazing! Bethany and Travis are the best! They made us all feel very comfortable and welcome. We are trying to figure out when we can get back! The architecture and surroundings are lovely, thoughtful, inviting and inspiring!
For my bachelorette party, I wanted to a nice relaxing weekend with my friends. And that is exactly what I got with this place. This place is truly a hidden treasure. The views were amazing. The cabins, the little surprises around the property were perfect! The attention to details and the way the property is maintained truly top notch. Bethany and Travis are amazing and very sweet and were really helpful. The one thing that probably bothered the girls a bit was the sulfur smell the water had. But honestly this did wonder for my hair and skin! :) I will for sure go back!
Fist of all the picture of the cabins alone intrigued me. I just had to click on the link to see more. When looking at the website I as the "Girls Weekend Package" this included 1 private yoga class for your group, 1 group wine tasting at Stonehouse Vineyards (a short walk from the property!), & 1 thai massage. Sounds pretty good right? Well ill be the first one to say it's a lot more than just good...It's fantastic! We had a total of 8 girls that went. And the cabins were so cute! :) The blue cabin has a loft and it made us feel like kids again climbing up and down the ladder fighting over who all gets to sleep in it. The yoga class was so relaxing. All of the girls particapated even though only 3 out of 8 of us had ever even done yoga and one of them was one week shy of being 8 months pregnant. During one our poses a huge group of deer showed up and made their way through the peaceful scenery. (great way to start the day...then of course mimosa'a after) :) We each got a Thai massage and wow...talk about amazing. I actually forgot to mention I have had a pinched nerve in my right shoulder for years. I haven't been able to feel part of my shoulder (besides a dull pain every now and then)since I was 16. Well thanks to Travis (Bethansy's husband) I can feel all of shoulder blade and all the weird annoying numbness is gone. Next Bethany helped set us up a time to do our wine tasting at Stonehouse Vineyard. Everyone welcomed us with open arms and hearts. The wine was delicious. Many of us bought bottles to take home with us. Now girls, in case you are wondering...Hey but I might wanna party downtown too. You can! We did! We found a cab driver to take us all the way from 6th street back to Spicewood. All of us girls said and agreed that we would love just to come back and enjoy a few relaxing days at LivingWaters and not get crazy with downtown. It's a great escape and alternative to just your regular Bachelorette Party. Thanks Bethany & Travis! Namaste :)
We stayed in the Eco cabins for 2 nights with a family that was in town visiting. We (4 adults, and 2 children ages 6 and 17 months) rented out all 3 cabins and really enjoyed our stay. There was plenty to do (or not do depending on what kind of vacation you are looking for) in the area and I thought Bethany was an excellent resource. I am hoping we can get back there soon!
“Girls Weekend Retreat - Chilling Out with the Girls”
I loved the Living Waters Retreat and hope to return and take advantage of their massage offerings and enjoy the property again, it's a great getaway to de-stress in a beautiful setting. From making reservations, checking in and checking out, arranging a trip for our group of women to get away for the weekend was seamless. The proprietor, Bethany, was very helpful with aiding in my decision making and answering questions. She contacted me a couple of days prior to our arrival and we kept in touch so everything was ready upon arrival. I did not have to call her and make sure we were all set, she beat me to it every time. She went above and beyond with personalizing our visit during her Saturday Yoga session which I recommend. We enjoyed the 3 Eco Cabins with 5 people staying in the cabins congregating primarily in and outside of the Blue Loft. The rooms were all darling. The listing was accurate and the pictures were truly representative of the porperty. The cabins and grounds were well-maintained. The grounds were not overly manicured but had a natural feel with a lot of nice surprises - little succulents tucked into tree stumps for instance. It was fun finding these little gems. Tje resport has is a natural setting, not rugged but not overly manicured and with nice paths to get around a. I would not hesitate to recommend the property to friends and family. I would not recommend for small children as there are no swimming pools or play areas (although there may have been a play area in a rental across the street) but if you have a little one that enjoys nature for natures sake (likes rocks and so forth, have family activites planned and doesn't bore easily perhaps it would not be an issue. We were really happy staying at the resort and ventured no further than the local winery that we walked to. I enjoyed the peaceful natural setting and the room accomodations, they were perfect for a girls weekend.
This was a great little get-away for my wife and I. Not luxurious, but it is cozy and had all we needed. The owners were fantastic and flexible. It you are ever in the austin/Lake Travis area and want some peace and quiet and relaxation, look them up!
“Amazing and Unique”
This was a beautiful and unique place to stay. I really enjoyed it and the owners were helpful and offered massages and other amenities for an extra fee. The accommodations were clean and nice.
“Lovely and healing spot”
I got to spend 3 days in Blue and Lodge and the Romantic Red Room and it was gorgeous. I spent the whole time there and didn't see another soul, even during the times I went strolling over the grounds. At one point it rained and I felt like I was living in my own little Universe where the air is clean, the food is fresh and the whole world loves me. I can't wait to go back.
