Perched high above the Carolina Valley in the heart of the Bordeaux Mt. forest is a charming and romantic cottage overlooking the turquoise Caribbean waters of the Sir Francis Drake channel.
Created for your enjoyment, your vacation for two,
Sea Cottage is a private paradise.
Just a 10 minute drive to the world famous North Shore beaches and less than 15 minutes from the shops and restaurants of Coral Bay or the ferry dock at Cruz Bay, the cottage can be reached by way of the paved and level Bordeaux Mt. Road which winds through the lush and fragrant bay rum forest.
For those who wish to enjoy St. John on foot, the Bordeaux Mt. trailhead in the Virgin Island National Park is only a short hike away leading to beautiful Lameshur Bay on the south side of the island as well as other trails in the park.
Sea Cottage is a stand alone studio – an open floor plan with airy vaulted ceilings, a spacious wrap around covered deck, a queen bed, a garden shower, a fully equipped kitchen, DVD player and sound dock. Decorated with beautiful pieces made by local artists, this private getaway is accessed by means of a comfortable descent through a tropical garden. It is amply cooled by ceiling fans and tradewind breezes so there is never any need for air conditioning.
Whether lounging in the hammock or admiring a moonrise or sunrise over the British Virgin Islands, you will be surrounded by the sounds of the forest and mesmerized by an unforgettable view.
See you at the ferry dock!

We were looking to get away from the common vacation grind, crowded pools and cookie cutter resort life and hoped to find a quiet, remote and authentic retreat. We found exactly that at the "Sea Cottage”. The sounds of the forest at night were amazing and the view spectacular. There are no homes across the valley, which adds so much to the private atmosphere. The outdoor shower was one of our favorite things about the unit, the experience of being surrounded by the forest was very unique and beyond what we had expected. It really makes you look forward to returning to the cottage after a long day of hiking and snorkeling. You won't regret it; we had an amazing time and cannot wait to go back.
After our wedding, we wanted to stay somewhere private and comfortable. We did not want to be at a busy, pricey resort. We were very impressed with the Sea Cottage. Monika and Jorge are really nice people and great hosts. They met us on the ferry dock and had yummy banana bread waiting for us in the fridge. They were easily accessible in case any came up. The Sea Cottage is certainly tucked away, but easy to find as there were signs directing us to it from off the main road. The view is priceless, as we looked out from the deck on Coral Bay and eastern side of the island. We could even see Tortola and other islands in the distance. At night, it was quiet and cool as we slept comfortably with the window opens, the screen doors shut, and fan blowing overhead. There is a fridge, microwave, toaster, grill, and coffee maker available for breakfast and keeping food fresh for the week. We enjoyed the flat screen tv with dvd player and great collection of movies in the evening. We stayed busy during each day leaving early after preparing breakfast and lunch, returning each evening to freshen up for either a quiet night in or going out to enjoy food at Cruz Bay. We loved staying here and would definitely recommend this place for couples who want a secluded, peaceful, and comfortable hideaway with an amazing view.
