An atractive house with all the comfort to have a relaxing vacation; good location, close everything in town; one of its best feature: a private backyard where we enjoy outdoor grilling at night.
“Quintessential P'Town Experience!”
Charming and cozy, but modern and comfortable, this lovely house is an easy walk from the pier and has all the amenities one could wish for, including a nice garden in which to eat outside.
Historic house, ideal location, fully appointed. Everything you need, and everything works. Spacious and breezy. The owners are very responsive. Can't do much better than this. After years of renting lesser properties with water views, I changed my priority list and ended up with a winner. I have rented may properties in Ptown, but this trumps all.
“Great place to stay... Convenient and Cozy”
Overall a great place to stay while visiting Ptown. The house was clean and well equipped. The temps got in the low 80's ...bedrooms had a/C but living areas (kitchen/living/dining) did not; got a little uncomfortable a couple days in those areas; Otherwise, everything was perfect! Would definitely stay here again.
“Charming, convenient house in west end”
My husband and kids have been renting this house for a week each august for the past few years and look forward to it every summer. The house is charming, clean, well laid out, and extremely convenient to everything in Ptown, especially the gym. The owners are delightful and always accommodating.
“A House that Feels Like Home”
I stayed in Jorge and Rafael's house last fall. The house is comfortable and airy, with really nice old floors throughout the house; a stairway that reminded me of being on a ship; skylights upstairs with views of the Pilgrim monument; comfortable furniture; and interesting artwork in all the rooms. The kitchen is great for cooking: I had my family at the house for Thanksgiving. People tended to gravitate to the kitchen, because it is so pleasant there. And the couch in the den is incredibly comfortable, a great place to take a nap after a day of enjoying Provincetown. It's just a great house. It's quite private because it's on the bottom end of a narrow "U"-shaped street; and yet you walk two blocks away and you are on the water and on Commercial Street. The West End is great; a little bit quieter than the middle of town; a five-minute bike ride out to the breakwater; ten minutes out to Herring Cove. Five minutes by bike to the trail that leads around Clapps Pond, which is great for jogging and bird-watching. The back yard is private and gets a good amount of sun; when I had friends visit we often sat outside and looked at the Linden trees. The house in on Montello Street, one of the older parts of the West End. Families live there year-round; the neighbors are friendly; they know a lot about the history of the neighborhood and it is nice to talk with them and learn about what the place was like a hundred years ago. What else? Each bedroom has its own character, with different artwork and a different feeling. The master bedroom has a beautiful bathroom with great shower and a steambath. The house is very airy and comfortable without being pretentious. Jorge and Rafael, the owners, were helpful and kind and a pleasure to get to know. They took a lot of care in preserving the old details of the house -- the floors, the windows, the stairway -- and these details remind you of its history. I was lucky to find this place and I hope to stay there again soon.
“Charming find heart of Provincetown”
Stayed here for an extended weekend in July. The location is perfect for walking to all that Provincetown offers. We enjoyed the large rooms and location. Would stay here again. The only area of improvement would be air conditioning downstairs. While each bedroom does have a window unit, I would probably opt for a home with central a/c as they homes that I've stayed at in the past (at this pricepoint) did include central a/c. It's probably not an issue for everyone, but would be a concern for us again in July.
