“Great cabin - Lots of Road Noise”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2014

This cabin is darling and in easy walking distance of Fire Sign restaurant, Sunnyside, and the fabulous Tahoe Park HOA private beach. We stayed in early August, during the height of the busy summer tourist season. The nights were warm and we would have welcomed the cool night air through the upstairs windows. Unfortunately, even with ear plugs, it was difficult to sleep through the heavy road noise (which was fairly constant from 6 am to midnight -- there was also seasonal road construction a couple of the nights, but our main complaint was with the regular tourist traffic). This might not be an issue in the quieter fall or spring seasons, or for those who are heavy sleepers or hard of hearing. The house itself is cute as a button. The decorations are spot on and the price is very reasonable for the charm and access to the private Tahoe Park beach. Still, given the noise, we will not be staying here again.
