You’ll fall head over heels for Nice! The city boasts sparkling beaches, sunlit streets, ocean breezes, and a temperate climate year round. Unfortunately, the vacation rentals here tend to lack the elegance and whimsy of the rest of the town. We know—we stayed in several before buying our own penthouse apartment, Le Trésor de Nice.

Our experience with the accommodations in Nice spurred us to create a vacation rental experience that consistently surpasses our guests’ expectations. We spent months renovating Le Trésor de Nice before opening it to be shared with others, and it features all the personal touches you would expect from a treasured family home.

Two terraces and several large windows showcase the shimmering Mediterranean, the sun-washed architecture of Nice, and the gentle slope of the mountains. One terrace includes a four-seat dining table and lounge chairs for sipping wine under the moon, while the stars and city lights merge into one glittering panorama.

Marble floors pave the way into Le Trésor de Nice, which is reached by elevator and laid out into an open floor plan with a large living room, one bedroom, and one and a half baths.

A brand new, fully stocked kitchen with fittings and furnishings from Italy, stainless steel appliances, and granite counters is the perfect setting for preparing gourmet meals in the country that invented gourmet. A small supermarket for gathering fresh ingredients is located just down the way, along with a boulangerie, where you can induldge in a fresh croissant or buy a loaf of bread for later.

When its time to present your enchanting meal, a glass-top dining table, lit by an elegant chandelier, has room for six. You can also light a few candles and dine on the terrace in the balmy Mediterranean air.

The kitchen also has breakfast bar—an ideal place to settle in with an espresso from our Nespresso machine and catch up on emails (freeWi-Fi is provided). Or, if you’d rather work with a view, Le Trésor de Nice provides an office area in front of a large window overlooking the bay, which bustles with ships, boats, paragliders and planes descending to the nearby airport. This dreamlike view will be the only impediment to your productivity: a printer, scanner, and plenty of desk space for your laptop are included.

Luxury linens enfold a queen-sized bed in the bedroom—a wonderful place to rest after a full day of exploring. A second terrace with bay views is accessed from the bedroom. Here, for a romantic moment, you’ll find two chairs and a table with just enough space to rest a pair of wine glasses.

The bathroom includes a rainfall showerhead, vanity mirror, and spacious marble countertops for all of your cosmetics and beauty products. A half-bath with sink and WC is located just off the foyer. There’s also a sofa that converts to a bed in the living area, which will accommodate two extra guests.

The beach is a ten-minute walk from Le Trésor de Nice (15 to 20 minutes on the way back) or a five minute bus ride. We recommend some form of vehicle transportation so you can motor along the coast or into the mountains. A vehicle will also make it easier to reach the plethora of cafes and restaurants in Nice’s city square or Old Town. An electric car rental service—8€/hour with a one hour minimum—can be found just downstairs.

Prefer not to drive? There are several options for public transportation. Take the convenient bus service to Gare de Nice Ville, where you can connect to other buses or take a train along the scenic coastline to Marseille or Italy.

We usually use the bus to get into the town centre - about 20 mins with all the stops and then Uber, back if late, although sometimes we take the bus if timing right. Orderly, clean and tidy. Situated near the airport but on the hill, away from the center of Nice. The bus is just below the apartment and then you can comfortably walk down to the beach or into Nice on 5-20 minutes. Fantastic friendly hostess who was very helpful. Washer, dryer, dishwasher and a lovely AC.” We enjoyed working with you before your stay. As with all our guests – we feel that we got to know you and would have liked to have met, however, Marlène, our fantastic on-site assistant always looks after our guests impeccably and we are very lucky to have her and Jean. Sounds like all the appliances worked well and the accommodation was comfortable. While we rarely need the AC since we get a nice breeze through the apartment if the windows are open, the AC is good to have on those hot summer days. The bus service close to the apartment is very convenient and the connection to the train means you can get to various towns along the coast easily and often quicker than by car [no search for parking!!]. Thanks again and we hope to see you again – best wishes.
