Description

Open floor plan with a full wall of windows to watch the sunset over the Roanoke Sound. Minutes from the world famous Nags Head Beaches. Two queen size beds, one convertible couch and lots of room for you to entertain and relax. Gas range and stove, dishwasher, countertop convection oven/toaster, keurig and regular coffee makers. Dining table to accomodate 10-12 guests. All you need to do is bring yourself; the house is complete with iinens, paper products, dishwashing liquid and other small necessities. Two cable televisions, a dvd blue ray player, internet access. A hammock, two seater swing and two dining tables outside with portable grills for relaxing. A front porch and back porch for viewing the herons and sea birds. A canal outback for crabbing and fishing. Golf course, hospital, food stores and shopping within a half mile. Quiet bike riding neighborhood. Tourist destinations nearby include Jockey's Ridge, Jeannette's Pier, Roanoke Island Festival Park, and downtown Manteo. Some of the best restaurants in town are one to three miles away. You will find this home to be a clean home away from home where you will feel like you are visiting a close friend. Art work and paintings, souveniers from around the world round out this special place.

Getting around

There are only two roads on the island heading North and South. One is four lanes with one turning lane in the center. The other is the "beach" road and goes along the beach side of the island. There is an excess of traffic so just be careful moving around. There is no public transportation; however, there are taxis and Uber/Lyft services.

I am only four blocks away; however, in the summertime I am usually off exploring.

“Nice Spot”

Cottage was in a nice location. It was clean and well stocked. Too bad the weather was not the greatest, but we had a nice anniversary get away. I would not hesitate to rent again. Hopefully come back in the spring.

We had an awesome time.....unfortunately it was too short but what a great place to spend our Veterans day weekend.....I and my girlfriend we very pleased with the rental over all....it was quick and easy with no hassles at all.....thank you to ms Anne for allowing our family to use her awesome cottage.....we definitely hope we can stay again....

“Winter stay in Nags Head”

My husband and I and our two long haired dauchsunds stayed in this cozy cottege. We loved this nicely decorated place. The owner was very accomidating to allow our dogs. The view of the roanoke sound is beautiful sitting at the dinning room table watching the sun go down with a glass of wine. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make a home cooked meal. We had to leave a day early because of a pending snow storm coming. Wish we could have stayed a little longer. We would definitely be back. We enjoyed just hanging in front of the fireplace and taking a long ride along the coast. Too cold to really do much outside. One great thing about coming this time of year is no traffic you can really check out the area before you can come back in the summer or fall.
