“Right in the historic center of Mexico City”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2017

Like my title says, we arrived to Mexico city at midnight our first time. Next day when we got out to the street with out knowing any thing about our situation it was a real great surpriseto find out that our apartment was in the historic district of Mexico City. Bellas Artesis one block away and Madero street two blocks away. From there the Zocalo and of course great restaurants and everything in between. The famous Paseo de la Reforma around the corner with all the traffic and noise as you expected. Transportation is not a big issue there are plenty of taxis at the stands of course, and the Hilton hotel its just next door from our building, where you can get a hotel taxi to be safer. From this point you have access to Garibaldi Square which is walking distance. And much more to describe here. We have seen complaints about the noise in these apartments, but after a long day exploring around this great city it is nice to go back to your completlye furnished and enjoyable place.

“Prime Location Historical Centre Mexico City”

Reviewed 19 Dec 2013

What a great place to call home when in Mexico. Steps to the beautiful historical core of the city where you get a sense of the vibrancy. The apartment was beautiful with a well appointed kitchen and the facility had a 25 meter pool. What a bonus. Bruce provides a pick up service at the airport as well as a charged phone if you need to contact him.

“Bem localizado”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2013

“Great place to stay”

Reviewed 11 Oct 2013

Puerta alameda was actually a great place to stay. Is located in the Historic Center of Mexico City which makes it very convenient to walk to the Zocalo, National Museum of art, Metropolitan Cathedral, and many other interesting sites. Security and ameneties are great, although it would help to have more than just two pillows and high-thread count sheets. Service is great. One thing I disliked, the walls are not so thick. So there are times the neighbors can be heard.

“Great location, great service. Everything you need.”

Loved Mexico City, and loved staying here. The location is perfect - so many sights are walkable and everything else is super-accessible via the nearby metro stop. The condo itself is very comfortable, a great home base for our stay. We used the wi-fi to plan our activities, figure out travel, and make restaurant choices. We used the pool a few times to get some exercise. We prepared breakfast in the kitchen most mornings. We washed our clothes in the laundry before moving on to the next stop in our vacation. It had everything we needed. The service was also perfect. Being able to rely on Bruce to meet us at the airport and bring us to the condo was a huge comfort. Getting a tour from him that night to help us get our bearings was an unexpected bonus that really made a difference in helping us get moving the next day.

“So close to everything and so secure!”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2013

This condo is very well located in a safe area within a 10 minute walk of the historic center of Mexico City. It was clean, had all the amenities you could want and the building itself was very secure - all keycard access controlled with security just inside the entrance. Best part was being able to walk, even at night to the old parts of town. Bruce was great and made himself available as needed. Do make sure you have some time booked with Ricardo the driver, his knowledge and expertise about sites both in Mexico City and at Teotihuacan added immeasurably to our trip.

“Excellent service, amenities, and location near alameda Central”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2013

This is a great place to stay, especially if it's your first visit to Mexico City. The condo is conveniently located near several metro stops and places of interest. Bruce also offers personalized service that is quite difficult to match these days. He met us right on time at the airport and promptly equipped us with a cell phone, electronic security card, and a customized digital access code. The residence itself is really secure, and there is always security personnel posted at each of both entrances into the complex. The condo is on the first floor. It is tastefully decorated and really quite comfortable, even for an extended stay. The stove, oven, microwave oven, washer and dryer appear to be new, and everything works very well. There is excellent water pressure in the shower as well. A small grocery store is located just down the street and around the corner. There is also a fair variety of restaurants and eateries of all price ranges in the immediate vicinity. Bruce is truly an excellent and thoughtful host, and I will definitely be contacting him again for my next visit to Mexico City.

“Great experience”

Reviewed 18 Apr 2013

This was an amazing experience. Mexico City is the coolest town we have been at yet. We had such a good time. We stayed there for 8 days. From the very beginning everything was great. Bruce's assistant Cornelio and his driver Ricardo received us at the airport at the exact moment we told them we were going to be arriving. Furthermore, the apartment was great, nice and clean. The Puerta alameda condo complex has a great pool and a gym that are open from 4:00 am - 11:45 pm. It has 24/7 security. The Wi-fi internet connection worked perfectly and the staff was very nice and friendly. The thing that made this trip even more enjoyable was Bruce's hospitality and Ricardo's service. They are both great guys and were always on top of their game. Bruce was available 24/7 and managed to fulfill all of our needs to the best possible way. We definitely recommend this apartment and we will most certainly go back to Bruce the next time we come to Mexico City. Thanks Bruce!

“A great place to stay with a great host!”

Bruce, the apartment owner, was waiting for us when we arrived at the airport. We were driven to the apartment and provided a local phone, keys to the secure building and codes for internet, etc. We have family in the same apartment complex, so this was a perfect location for us to gather for family meals. The kitchen was easy to use and equipped with everything necessary to cook during our stay. There are a wide variety of restaurants, cafes, vendors and markets nearby for meals and snacks. I highly recommend the Spa next door for a relaxing Mani/Pedi. Because our visit was to spend time with family, we did not take advantage of the services of the driver available at a very reasonable rate. Next time we visit, we will plan to take a tour. Bruce has thought of everything from a full-size washer and dryer, down to the hairdryer. Since we have family living in DF, we did not need to contact the owner, however he was available if needed. This was our 3rd trip to Mexico City, there is so much so see and do. We stayed in a 5 star hotel for our first two visits where internet was not included with the room and we incurred additional cell phone charges for phone calls. Having a local phone was a huge plus for us. We will definitely contact Bruce for future trips.

“Good option for stay in Mexico City”

(+) good location (downtown sidewalk, turisbus stop and groceries nearby) (+) well guarded building complex, attentive main entry staff (+) nicely furnished condo (+) attentive owner - requests were promptly replied (+) convenient airport pick-up and drop-off (-) condo with no view (to indoor patio of building complex) (-) small TV set (could be larger)

Response from the manager It was a pleasure having you stay at one of my vacation rental properties and hope that you will choose one of my units on your next visit to Mexico City. You can count on repeat customer discounted rate.
