“Expected Perfection / Got it!!!”

Reviewed 5 Dec 2013

Whether you are looking to get-away for a few days or months, it pays to work with real pros who manage their rental-pool properties meticulously. Resort Vacation Properties (RVP) does this better than anyone. Been coming annually to St George Island since 1990 - some years for a week, some years for up to 5-months. We've stayed at over 20 properties managed by every local rental/management company. We've experienced some massively unpleasant surprises that literally ruined our vacations by getting poorly maintained properties from other rental companies - but never had an issue with RVP in 12 rentals to-date. By far - 2nd place is not even in the same universe - RVP properties are the best because they insure there are "no surprises" (you get what was promised and more); RVP properties are maintained to highest standards & are clean; there is a terrific support staff to handle anything that periodically goes wrong/breaks (houses on the beach will always have issues - the trick is to work with folks that seamlessly fix them so as to not interrupt your vacation); RVP does not "nickle/dime" you while including things like trip insurance in their rent. Most of us rent remotely based on photos/desciptions. Internet/photos can make a toad look like a princess. But every RVP property we have rented (12) have 100% lived-up-to their promise. Our most recent rental was "Seaclusion". Up to now, the best property we've ever stayed-in throughout the us/world was Barefoot Bungalow via RVP at St George Island. Seaclusion even topped that. Seaclusion has a terrific floorplan & pool located directly on the beach in the Plantation; It is equisitely furnished with virtually every item you could imagine waiting your use at Seaclusion. This place is luxurious - yet remains very casual so you truly enjoy staying there. Too bad we were only there for 10-days sandwiched around Thanksgiving. What a great place, ultra clean and maintained in perfect condition - Thank you; we'll be back.

“Best Spot on the Gulf Coast”

Reviewed 11 Oct 2012

Seaclusion is the most peaceful place I've ever visited. My family and I loved every inch of the home. It is truly a home away from home. From the moment we walked in the door, we were relaxed. The decor is wonderful and everything we needed as far as housewares was there. All we had to do was bring in suitcases and food. This was our second time to stay in Seaclusion and we are looking forward to many more.

“Family vacation”

Reviewed 23 May 2012

We all really enjoyed our stay at Seaclusion; plenty of amenities, plenty of room. The house was nicely decorated and very clean. The gulf views were magnificent! So many things to marvel at: the water spouts during an off-shore storm, then the rainbow forming in the east; the dolphins at play in front of the house, seeing my adult children riding the waves in inner tubes, watching my son-in-law catching sharks and a sting ray while he was surf-fishing, lounging under the canopy on the beach. Hearing the surf ebb and flow, then going shelling the next morning. The natural beauty was awesome! One week was not enough! This was definitely a dream vacation to remember; worth every penny!

“Great Easter Vacation”

Reviewed 17 Apr 2012

We had a great time with our family, the house was just the right size for all of us. We all enjoyed the location in St. George Plantation, the walks with the dogs and the bike rides around the Plantation were really wonderful. We enjoyed the pool and the two living areas in the home. We also greatly appreciated the kind service we received when we called after we left for home, asking for help locating our son's pillow pet. Everyone was very helpful in finding "George" and letting us know that he would be in the mail. this greatly relieved our son and our selves. Thank you to the Staff at Resort Vacation Properties William Mincey

“A great place to stay!”

It absolutely couldn't have been a better vacation. The house was perfect and had everything for our convenience.

“Enjoyed, but some reservations”

Reviewed 24 Mar 2011

We enjoyed the property, but had some issues. The pool lights were out and were waiting on parts to repair. The grill was bent to one side and had not had last residue cleaned out. Ants in kitchen area, sand in floor, trash, cans, etc around outside of house and in outside bath/shower. We were not able to check in unit until 6pm. That being said the house was nice, bedrooms good, walkway to beach good, appliances good, and always like inside the plantation better.

Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to share your vacation rental feedback with us. We are pleased that overall you enjoyed your visit, but apologize you experienced some dissatisfaction with the home. Should you ever experience a housekeeping or maintenance issue during your visit, please notify us immediately so that we may have the opportunity to correct any deficiencies while you are here. With regards to your 6pm check-in time; due to the high volume of houses being turned on the weekends during high season, check-in begins at 4pm & is guaranteed by 6pm. We need this time to be sure each house has been cleaned & inspected & readied for guest arrival. We ask that you plan accordingly. We thank you for your continued patronage & look forward to having you back as our guests again this summer. Sincerely, Resort Vacation Properties

“Perfect”

Reviewed 15 Dec 2009

The Seaclusion is perfect. Location is great, amenities are great, 5 bedrooms, pool, boardwalk, large kitchen. My family of 11 stayed and had plenty of room. Decor is typical Florida- but overall not guady. This was our second stay at the Seaclusion and hope to come back in the future. In 2008 there were some signs of wear- so some update and refurbishing would be timely. Need the gas grill replaced- but overall house is in good shape. The elevator is a life saver the day you arrive and leave- carrying luggage and groceries etc. Sitting on the 2nd floor deck and watching the dolphins was the highlight.

Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to share your vacation rental experience with us. We are delighted that you and your family enjoyed your stay at Seaclusion. We are pleased to inform you that a number of updates have been made since your stay including new stainless steel kitchen appliances & a double park grill. We are so glad that the dolphins put on a show for you. Wildlife viewing on St. George Island is the best! We look forward to having you as our guest again soon. Be sure to check our website for the latest specials. Sincerely, Resort Vacation Properties

“Beutiful Home and Beach”

Reviewed 14 Dec 2009

We where there in March 2007. This place is a gorgeous, well kept, huge newer home on a wonderful wide beach. I would give it 5 stars if the pool was heated enough and it had a real hot tub (I think they just elected not to heat the "spa"). March is pushing it a bit, but we had decent weather. All in all a wonderful beach home in a nice section of the island, and SO much nicer than the touristy areas. Some more details: Plus: Owner is nice to work with. Kids will think the elevator is cool, awesome veranda overlooking the beach, set up well for two families. Beach is great, excellent sand, very rare old mangrove stump so be a little careful. This is a beautiful island but there is not much else beside the beach, which was a plus for us as it is not "touristy". The home is actually in the gated west end of the island which is very nice, bike riding is good as there is little traffic and the beach is uncrowded. "Town" is a mile or so away and is an easy bike ride or can be reached with a pretty long walk down the beach for ice cream, etc. Fun casual restaurants like Harry A's for oysters on the island, authentic little fresh fish and crab sellers across the bridge. Fishing charters nearby. Two decent golf courses within 45mins if they are still there. Minus: The only real minus was as I mentioned the pool heater was just barely warm enough in March, and it is a cold 'spa' not a hot tub, so no soaking on a cool evening. Bummmer. This would not be a problem in summer however! Don't even think about having a beach fire, they are ridiculous about this. The island is wonderful and not touristy, but the trade off is only a couple golf courses within 45mins. No nicer restaurants, although to be fair we were happiest just cooking out on the grill. Boat rental or just bringing your own might be tough.. only a couple marinas on the whole Apalachicola bay, although if trailering this is less of an issue as there is a gas station on the island.

“Outstanding, stupendous, wonderful, joyous fun for the whole fam”

Every spring our family retreats to Florida from all over the USA. A couple of years ago we ran across this beautiful home on St. George Island. The home is perfect for our get togther! Well maintained, clean and plenty of room for the 18 family members who showed up! It is a great place for small children, teenagers and babies. We particularly enjoyed the ocean view from all levels of the balcony and watched the dolphins and shrimp boats pass by. Every year we have been blessed with really nice warm and sunny weather with maybe one day of a little rain. What makes this stay even more wonderful? We are very close to Appalachicola and good restaurants for fine dining or grabbing delicious oysters or grouper sandwich. We highly recommend staying at "Seaclusion" for your family getaway.

“Wonderful home but pricey”

Reviewed 30 Jan 2009

We had a wonderful week in St. George. The house was beautiful and we especially liked the pool for the kids. The only drawback is how expensive the home is to rent. The rental fees for the homes are quite expensive.
