Villa Brizay was exactly as described by the team at aspects of Spain ie a bit dated, but spotlessly clean & freshly painted. The views are absolutely second to none from every room. The two main bedrooms are very large with lots of wardrobe space & comfy beds. The other 2 bedrooms are of a very good size also. The bathrooms look dated colour wise, but everything works perfectly & there was always lots of piping hot water for showers. A few extra towels for the bathrooms would have been nice. The glazed naya was a wonderful place to sit & enjoy the view in the evenings, as being only early June, it was quite windy & a bit too chilly to sit outside once the sun went down. The outside space is a little limited for such a large villa, and if we had been 8 adults instead of only 4, we would have needed more patio furniture. An upgrade of the patio furniture would greatly improve the overall experience, as currently it is just cheap white plastic & not enough chair cushions. The kitchen is very well equipped and has plenty of crockery, cutlery & glasses. The service provided by the team at aspects of Spain was exceptional...the couple of issues we had with a broken parasol & leaking sink were dealt with both speedily & efficiently, literally within the hour. We felt we received really personal service, and would definitely book with them again. The access road to the villa is a bit alarming especially after dark..it is very steep in places, with sharp 90 degree bends..something to be aware of. The location is convenient for both the old town & the port. A walk down would be fine, but back up only for the very fit! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. In an ideal world, Villa Brizay would benefit from some updating, and a small investment in some better quality outdoor furniture would make a big difference. However, the views make up for these things and are absolutely stunning, both day and night.
Response from the manager Thank you so much for your comprehensive review of Villa Brizay and we are delighted you enjoyed your holiday so much. Since your stay one bathroom has been completely refurbished, and now all the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Gradually all the bathrooms will be refurbished, but meanwhile as you say, they all work and there is plenty of hot water! Some of the outside furniture has also been replaced since your visit, so, little by little the villa is getting a full makeover. Meanwhile the prices reflect this somewhat "dated" villa. Thank you again for your comprehensive review and we hope to welcome you to Villa Brizay sometime in the future when you can see all the upgrades that take place! The Aspects of Spain Team
“We loved Villa Brizay”
We received a very helpful and welcoming service from aspects of Spain, including clear travel instructions for getting to the villa. Any further questions we had after our arrival were dealt with extremely courteously and promptly. We loved the villa! We were 3 adults and 2 children (8 and 13). The villa was clean, spacious and well laid-out, with more than enough crockery, cutlery etc. The view was stunning both day and night. The location was perfect: private, as it was at the end of a road; and within walking distance to the town and port. Entertainment for the children was no problem, due to the gorgeous pool, size of the house, and the ping pong table which we hired for the week. It was perfect for us, and we'd have no hesitation in booking it for another stay.
“Très belles vacances avec une vue sur mer inoubliable”
maison très agréable avec une vue sur mer magnifique
“Casa Brizay, Javea, Spain July 2011”
Very large Villa, great location with fantastic panoramic views of Javea Old Town, Port and the Beach area. Good size pool but limited terrace space. Villa well equiped albeit somewhat dated interior. Would certainly recommend this villa particularly if travelling with another family.
“Ok, but very tired”
The villa is very large but very tired ! Good location as long as you have a car ! Clever photography ! Not very clean, bathrooms pink and advocado green ! A shame because it could have been amazing.
“Villa with fantastic views”
As there were only 2 of us, we only had access to the spacious top floor of this villa. This we found comfortable, (especially the Tempur mattress in the bedroom), but a little tired and in need of modernisation. The main attraction of this villa is the fantastic panoramic views across Javea, out to sea and along the valley. An excellent spot to watch the twinkling lights of the town at night..! I would be cautious in recommending this villa for children, as the garden is very steep and has few if any safe play areas. Also the pool area would be quite small for a large party. The villa is ideally located close to the old town and port areas, and the main tourist beaches are only a short drive away. A car is essential - preferably small to negotiate the tight little roads up to the villa.
“a Fantastic and relaxing holiday”
We were a party of 5 adults , 2 children and had a fantastic holiday in Villa Brizay . The villa is huge , with 4 large bedrooms, great pool and the most brilliant view. I think the view made the holiday for us , right over Javea. The drive upto the villa was not the best experience as its quite a steep and narrow hill , going up in first gear all the way. But you are actually only about 5 mins drive from the main arenal Beach area. The villa was very comfortable lovely lounge and terrace area with plenty of seating and plenty of loungers for us all. Just one thing I would mention that there is only 1 electric point in the downstairs bedroom ,the glasses and crockery could be doing with getting renewed as there are all quite old . On the whole the villa was a great choice of accommodation with plenty of room for us all.
