“Fantastic!!”

Everything you could hope for. Unit is amazing. Entire complex is exactly what you want and hope for! Will come back again

“Spectacular”

Reviewed 6 Feb 2017

Cannot say enough good things about this resort. Our first trip to Hawaii (7 nights) and Honua Kai came to us HIGHLY recommended; our expectations were exceeded before we even got there. Kristen and Sarah were both great to deal with and the unit we were in Konea 312 was beautiful. Even more spacious than the photos suggest. Smart TV with Netflix was a plus :-) Location wise takes you 2mins tops to walk from your unit down to the beach. The expanse immediately in front of the resort is small but walk 3mins south and you're in heaven. Lots of pool space if you prefer, no shortage of chairs, loungers, etc. The resort grounds were being tended to and maintained all the time so the result is the place is immaculate. Valet is available but not really needed as the parking lot is RIGHT THERE. Grocery store in the resort is stupid pricey but just go across the street to Times and everything is half the price. Dukes good for happy hour. Next trip I won't even bother looking elsewhere, Honua Kai is the only place I'll say - can easily say it made our trip.

“Absolute Perfection”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2016

We loved our stay at at Konea 312. The property is amazing and there was plenty of room for our family of four to roam around. The owners met us at the property, showed us where to park, explained how everything works in the unit. I really appreciated that - sometimes when you rent a property, you're left to figure out everything on your own, which can be tricky. The unit was well-stocked with beach supplies, bath tissue, towels, everything we needed. I loved the location of Honua Kai. Still with all the nice resorts, but kind of set away at the end of the luxury resorts by itself so it was more relaxing. Can't wait to go back next year!

“Clean and Modern Maui Condo”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2016

My husband and I along with our two young teen boys stayed in this beautiful condo for a week while vacationing in Maui. It was clean, modern and well equipped with everything we needed. Although there is no ocean view, the lush grounds and mountain views provided a beautiful background as we relaxed on the balcony. There seemed to be a rainbow each day right outside our patio. The condo is in a complex with hotel guests and shares 4 pools and Duke's Restaurant. The only down side is that you are not allowed to use the pool towels because the condo is rented independently. More beach/pool towels would be my only suggestion. It was very warm in July and the AC in the unit was necessary and COOL!

“Our stay at Honua Kai 312”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2012

We coordinated our trip of a lifetime with Barb for our stay at #312 this past June. Barb greeted us upon our arrival and showed us all of the hotel and room amenities. Suffice it to say the trip exceeded our expectations. Honua Kai is the newest upscale hotel in West Maui. It is right next to restuarants & shopping with a great snorkel beach. Every day was filled with trips from the many pools on site to the beach to Happy Hour at Dukes. The extra den made it very roomy for my family of 5. We enjoyed watching the Olympic Trials on the 3 flat screens every night. The room even came with beach chairs. We will definately be back.

“Wonderful relaxing stay”

Awesome place to stay. Walt and Barb were amazing to deal with. Would stay here again in a heart beat!

“Delightful stay for family of 5”

Reviewed 25 May 2012

Staying here was a wonderful experience we had from start to finish. The rental arrangements went smoothly and when we arrived Barb and Walt met us at the lobby and made us feel at home right away. Barb answered all of our questions and gave us some good ideas for our stay. She was so helpful and attentive - she is on site most of the time - so if you need anything she is just a phone call away. I just can't say enough wonderful things about Barb and Walt - they really made us feel like family - not just renters! The condo exceeded our expectations. The size is perfect for a family of five and less expensive than renting a 2 bedroom. Don't worry about it not being an ocean view because the view from the condo is incredible. There is a large lanai with a view of a waterfall, beautiful grounds, and sweeping mountains in the background. Each morning you can watch the sunrise over the mountains...what a treat! The condo has everything you need - we cooked a lot of our meals there and I was impressed at how well the kitchen was stocked. They also have beach supplies - sand toys, chairs, boogie boards and floaties for the pool. The resort is so lush and beautiful with pools and hot tubs winding throughout integrated with waterfalls and amazing plants and trees. Having Dukes on the property is a nice treat too - we loved the 'Aloha Hour' from 3-5pm with great drink and appetizer (pupu) specials! The location is great - the beach has a nice reef area that you can snorkel right there. The kids did plenty of swimming and boogie boarding on the beach there too. We had a wonderful time and will hopefully be returning soon & recommending renting from Barb & Walt to our friends! Mahalo!!

Wonderful unit, perfect for our family of four. The Kubiaks where very helpful and treated us like family.

“We had a wonderful time, in a wonderful place.”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2012

Barb and Walt were great hosts. The unit was clean, the view of the mountains awesome, and the service was great especially when Walt came by and hooked up our computer, and also suggested a great place to eat leaving town in Kahalui. The place was just right for 2 adults and 3 little ones without having to up grade to a 2 bedroom. I have recommeded ths place to some friends.

“Best vacation ever!”

Reviewed 23 Mar 2012

The accommodations at Honua Kai were recommended to us and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the unit as well as the grounds. Days we spend poolside we also enjoyed having Dukes for beverages or snacks. Loved the fact is was so close to the beach. Several times we walked along the boardwalk enjoying the sites and shopping at Whalers Village. There is a grocery store withing walking distance and they had pretty much everything you would need. Barb was great, meeting us upon our arrival and was available when we had questions or to fix our coffee pot issue. One thing we did not like, was there was very little places to hang wet towels and bathing suits! That would be the only thing we saw that needed improvement. We will be sure to spend our next Maui vacation at the Honua Kai!
