“Wow, wow, wow!!!”
We looked forward to this trip for quite a while. The owner was always responsive to email questions. Offered great help about local attractions and the house was in a perfect place! 50 yards from the beach, close to several fun cities, and fully equipped for anything we needed. We have stayed in many similar homes and this one is by far the best equipped in all aspects. Fully stocked kitchen, games for inside and out, and Netflix for our use! Who does that!? Nice touch! Oregon in August is spectacular! We will be back!!!
Response from the owner Thanks so much, we love it when our guests have a great time! Look forward to having you stay again!
“Far From the Madding Crowd”
We rented Paradise at Pine Beach for Hood to Coast, a yearly relay from Mt Hood to Seaside, Oregon. Scrambling for a place to stay, we happened upon Paradise at Pine Beach in Rockaway. Although it was further from Seaside, it was charmingly quiet and far from the madding crowd of Seaside. The beach is minutes away by foot and very quiet, almost as though we had the beach to ourselves! The kitchen is spectacular with all the essentials for gourmet meals. Spacious vaulted ceilings and ample light make the shared dining family and kitchen area very cozy. The master has a massive mirrored closet and a sliding glass door to the deck and down to the fire pit. Can you say feng shui? Two other rooms, one with a queen and another with two twin beds accommodates another 4 guests. Laundry room adjacent to the garage makes it easy to shed bathing suits and sandy gear. Bikes, boogies boards and extra chairs for the firepit provide lots of other activities. We will definitely stay in Paradise again...far from the madding crowd!
“Beautiful home minutes walk from quiet, windswept beach”
The Jewetts have a wonderfully laid out and comfortable home that is perfect for a family vacation. We were looking for a place that was a little more quiet than the other places we'd stayed before on the Oregon Coast, and this was perfect for us. The house is in a smal subdivision. Though the house itself does not have an ocean view, the beach is ljust a few minutes of leisurely walk away from a quiet beach. Everything in the house is up-to-date and well maintained. It's evident that this is a house that the owners have themselves used, and so the amenities provided are well thought out. This part of Rockaway Beach is a little windier than other parts of the Oregon Coast, so not a place to really lay in the sun, but it's good for walks. Rockaway Beach itself is a small community with limited food options, but it's within 30-45 minutes driving distance to great restaurants, where, incidentally, there are some pretty spectacular tidepools. Staying at Rockaway Beach meant that we had access to those opportunities without having to deal with the (relatively) large crowds. Mike was immediately responsive to our questions and requests before and during our stay.
“Comfortable, clean, close to everything!”
Mike was a great host! Every detail was covered for our stay! Our family had a blast! Hope to be back soon!
“Great refuge from the storm!”
We spent part of spring break at the beach. In true Oregon fashion, there was lots of rain. This house was a great place to ride out the storm--with video games and books for the kids, and comfy places to sit and read or nap. We cooked all our meals at the house and it had everything we needed. We also loved the closeness to the beach, so we could just run down to enjoy the sunset or the few times in-between rain storms. We would definitely stay here again!
The nice thing about this rental was when I went looking for something in the kitchen, they had it...and right where I guessed. Also, I had something to worry about right before we left Portland and neglected to pack a few things. No worries. They had a blow dryer and a few other odds and ends that didn't make it into the luggage. We brought an 11-month-old baby and I felt like the house was very baby friendly--no stairs to worry about and lots of open area for her to toddle around and to set up her highchair in. I just scooped a few breakables (very few) out of the way and we were set which is a far cry from how it feels to take her places usually. The beach was a gorgeous long stretch of sand and not crowded. Everyone loved it. Really, this place was just what we needed to unwind. I have already recommended this place to friends. Both thumbs up!
“comfortable, immaculate, well-equipped, and great location”
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our family in this lovely home. The house is so comfortable - excellent beds and linens, an extremely well-equipped designer kitchen, and a great use of space throughout. The location is perfect - a nice, small neighborhood with a short walk to a long and beautiful beach. The best part of renting this house was the thoughtfulness of the owner - he even came by in the morning and turned the heat on so it would be warm when we arrived. We have often rented vacation homes - and this is among the best!
“Clean, spacious and close to beach”
Good location, spacious layout, updated and clean. The wifi and home theater were nice bonus features. Kitchen was very functional.
“Comfortable, felt like home.”
This was a great beach house, the short walk to the beach was great. There were so many things provided, like wetsuits, boggie boards, lots of sand toys, chairs and the wagon to haul it all. This place was so clean! We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit, that was really nice! It's a beautiful home with easy owners to work with.
We stayed here to celebrate our 10th anniversary and to renew our vows on the beach with a small ceremony. The house is perfect for us, plenty of room and everything you could need. Mike and Sarah were even kind enough to gift us with a Groupon for a wine and cheese tasting in Tillamook. We were very relaxed while staying here and we will definitely be coming back soon!!!
