Very Good

“Welcoming hosts, gorgeous house and grounds, fabulous views”

Reviewed 19 Nov 2013

Amazing property with lovely views over Hout Bay. The host family (including the cute dogs!) were a delight to be with and made us very welcome. The apartment was beautifully furnished with everything available that we needed. The bathrooms were also gorgeous and included toiletries to use. We loved the grounds of the property (including the swimming pool and trampoline for the children) with the peaceful views right down to the bay. Having the bird park down the road and being close to the tourist bus stop was a definite plus point. The ease of visiting Cape Point for the day or Cape Town and Table Mountain was helpful. The hosts helped us out with information and maps to get around and generally made us feel like family! We will definitely be staying again if we get to return to this beautiful part of the world in the future. I can highly recommend it!

“Wow - what a view”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2013

Our stay was all too brief - the spacious and well equipped apartment is set in beautiful gardens, packed with a variety of trees and plants that were just beginning to burst into life, with the arrival of spring. The property is situated above Hout Bay, so there are amazing views out over the bay from the apartment and the gardens. We were made very welcome by the family and felt very much at home. The location is ideal for exploring Cape Point and also the attractions of Cape Town. There is even a Sightseeing Red Bus stop conveniently placed outside the World of Birds nearby. We would recommend a stay at Chateau Neuf du Cap if you are planning to visit this area.

“Excellent self catering lodge”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2013

French speaking host. The place is excellent with a wonderful view of the bay and mountains. Very quite and easy access. A nice place to stay if you visit the region. It's only 20 minutes from Cape Town CDB and Waterfall. If you are lucky you might be able to see whales... :) On friday evening there' s a local market to be seen with good music and food. It's open until 9H30 pm . Paul and angy

Response from the owner Hi Paul and Angy Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to have you both, your daughter & nephew to stay. We do hope to see you soon again, and perhaps some of your french friends - they will be most welcome. Ashley & Debbie Holling Chateau Neuf du Cap

“Beautiful and accommodating”

Reviewed 16 May 2013

We stayed there for one evening with a bride to be and had the most amazing experience. The house has everything you looking for; relaxed surrounds and amazing views. The family informed us about everything in advanced and looked after us with a smile. I can highly recommend it and would love to go back and visit again; we will never forget this amazing special day and support from the owners. We loved it!

Response from the owner Caren - it was a pleasure to accommodate you and the bridal party - and to have a lovely Chevvy parked in our driveway. You are welcome again anytime. - Ashley & Debbie, Chateau Neuf du Cap

“A Memorable 4 weeks holiday !!”

Reviewed 4 Feb 2013

We have recently spent 4 wonderful weeks at Chateau Neuf du Cap .We were delighted with the Location nestled in the hillside over looking Hout bay what a wonderful view that greeted us waking up each morning .We were thrilled with our spacious beautifully furnished apartment ..but best of all our very large comfortable divine bed ,dressed with lots of comfy pillows and heavenly white cotton duvets .A recipe for a good nights sleep !! Ashley & Debbie couldn't do enough to make our stay there so pleasurable what a delightful family ..two beautiful children Nina & Dominic considering we all lived quite close ..we never heard any noise to disturb our peace very well behaved ...and the children weren't bad either !!! We were invited to use their large pool when ever we felt like a refreshing dip !!Hout Bay is full of great little restaurants so never any problem finding good food or there's always well stocked woollies if you fancy a night in watching a movie... we could really recommend this beautiful house !!and Gardens !!

“A beautiful setting - a place of tranquility”

Reviewed 16 Oct 2012

This beautiful home is perfectly situated in the charming town of Hout Bay. The guest apartment is large and beautifully decorated, with a beautiful view over the garden and the valley. It is a place that makes you feel safe and at home, and attention has been given to every detail. The hosts will make you feel welcome and at home. A perfect setting from which to explore the Cape.

“We could not have found a nicer place to stay!”

Heather & John made us feel so welcome. We could not have found a nicer place to stay. Location might not be perfect but the view and the tranquility is worth itl. Would definitely stay there again.

“Endeavour Safaris - site inspection”

Reviewed 5 Nov 2010

Having visited Chateau Neuf Du Cap on a site inspection, specifically for wheelchair guests, I found that it is very suitable. All doorways are more than wide enough, no steps (except from the garage into the kitchen - where a ramp will be placed), flat roll-in showers and enough space next to the toilet to transfer. There are no hand rails, however for most this is not necessary. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable with stunning views and a lovely garden.

“Great holiday experience in the Western Cape”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2010

Having enjoyed Heather and John's hospitality on a previous visit, and watched the initial development of Chateau Neuf du Cap, we recently returned to the Cape to view the finished product. Hout Bay is one of the pearls of the Cape and is an ideal base from which to explore and experience the Cape. Chateau Neuf du Cap certainly complements the warm and relaxing environment that surrounds you. A truly beautiful house set in lovely spacious private gardens with a superb swimming pool. Such wonderful luxury coupled with the freedom afforded with a self-catering apartment and late afternoon drinks by the pool. We had a thoroughly enjoyable 8 nights and will certainly be returning.
