A beautiful French-inspired chateau, nestled in the mountains of Hout Bay, Cape Town. Watch the sun rise and fall over Chapmans Peak and the ocean below, and enjoy your sundowners from the comfort of your own provencale style garden. For bird watchers, the bird life, enhanced by the World of Birds nearby, gives added pleasure. A 15m pool allows the energetic to get their exercise, or just lie back in the sun, and plan your trips to the scenic beauty of Cape Point, your shopping at the Waterfront, and your visit to the winelands. A trip to seal island on Nauticats glass bottom boat and lunch at Hout Bays Fishermans Wharf is a must. We are there to assist you plan your holiday. The brand-new, spacious garden apartment affords two couples their own luxurious bathrooms with walk in showers, bath and vanity. Super comfy Kingsize beds, large lounge area to watch your favourite sattelite TV programme, check your e-mails, or read in the peace and quiet. A fully equipped French-style kitchen and dining room, leaves nothing to be desired. it leads onto another secluded courtyard, with loungers and outside dining furniture. Your own double lock-up garage and extra parking complete the picture. Wow is the first word you will utter. We can not wait to come back will be your leaving words.

Getting around

Recommended to have car rental or travel by Uber which is very easy to use. The owners frequently use Uber themselves. Chateau Neuf du Cap is quite accessible. We are walking distance to one of the stops of the very popular and enjoyable "Hop-on, Hop-off City Sightseeing Cape Town Red Bus". Once on board - it takes you on a beautiful scenic tour all along the coastal road to Cape Town - and back via botanical gardens and winelands. We are only a 20-minute drive to the centre of Cape Town, Table Mountain and the Waterfront. We are 30 minutes drive from the airport.

Interaction with guest

We live on the same property - and are always available to assist when needed. At the same time - the appartment is very private and separate - with its own double garage. The level of interaction is totally on the terms of our guests.

Children are welcome. Please note that there is open water on the property (fish ponds and pool) and that children are parents responsibility at all times.

No parties allowed. Cottage only handles the specified number of guests. Upon request - we do sometimes allow for a small gathering with additional friends if that can be accommodated.
