“Staying here I felt like I was part of Venice, no just a tourist”
I would stay here again. It was easy to pretend I was at home. Walking to the vaporetto gave me a chance to see Venice waking up. Water taxis came very close to our door. The grocery store was just over the bridge. Really loved apartment and neighborhood
“A Happy First time in Venice”
We thought this charming apartment was in a great location. It is close to a market and good restaurants. It was quiet and at night there was a street light right outside the door so you could see to get in. The owner was very helpful with information for water taxis and pick up. It is close enough to attractions yet far enough from the crowds of tourists. The bedding seemed new and of good quality with a comfortable bed. We were very happy with our choice of accommodations.
“Comfortable, clean, convenient and very good value.”
This apartment is clean, very comfortable and conveniently situated. It was easy to book and we were met at the nearest vaporetto stop and escorted to the apartment, being shown recommended restaurants and useful supermarkets on the way. The bedroom and separate lounge are a good size and the kitchen and bathroom, although compact, are very well equipped. We had no problems self-catering on several evenings. On other evenings we simply had to walk about 100 or so metres to reach an excellent restaurant. The apartment is in a quiet area, but it's so close to everything! 5 minutes walking takes you to S. Marco and 10 minutes walking takes you to Fondamenta Nuova and the vaporetto to Murano, Burano and Torcello. We would certainly be happy to stay here again.
“Wonderful Home from Home”
Thank you so very much for your wonderful apartment The location is amazing and we would recommend it to anyone! A short walk to everything. We also loved being able to cook our own meals with fresh ingredients from the supermarket. Your apartment is very cute and the bed was the most comfortable of our entire overseas trip!
“A true experience”
My stay in the Residence of the Templars in Venice can only be described as "magic". It gave me the feeling of actually living in Venice for a short while. Wonderful location, comfortable living and a feeling of belonging there!!! This accommodation not only provided me with everything I needed, but also really gave me a feel for the "true Venice".
“A beautiful, quiet, comfortable and ideally located apartment.”
We stayed here for one week in late October. We were met by Mimi who was very prompt, informative and helpful. She took us to the apartment at 10 a.m. so that we could leave our luggage while the place was being cleaned. We had a problem connecting to the internet, but Guy came out the same day and sorted out our issues. There is a wonderful deli-grocery store just around the corner, a rarity in Venice. All main sights are within walking distance. We were excited to be there for two days of aqua alta, a very high tide. The street flooded, but the water stopped at the bottom of the two stairs into the apartment. Quite the adventure heading to Piazza San Marco. A lovely apartment to call home while in this beautiful city.
“Our little home in Venice”
I stayed 4 nights in the Residence of the Templars, and my friend stayed on an additional 3 nights. We were met at the water taxi stop by Mimi, who helped us with our bags and showed us to the apartment, just down the street, and she showed us how to work everything in the apartment. She was just delightful, bubbly and outgoing. When I had problems with the wifi the next day, she came around in minutes and showed me how to reset the modem. The iffy wifi is the only problem we had, and I suspect that it was a "Venice thing", not exclusive to our place, and it was not a big deal. After all, as a previous guest said, who comes to Venice to spend time on the internet? We had a wonderful time in our little flat: plenty of hot water and heat, very clean. Nice big purple towels. The neighborhood was off the beaten tourist path, so it was quiet, and we were able to see Venetians going about their daily lives. Vaporetto stops were 5-10 mins. away, and Piazza San Marco was a easy walk. Thank you Guy and Mimi!
“Great location for everything”
We stayed 4 nights at Guys place and could not have been more satisfied. It was during the record aqua alta and the water was only inches below the step but we stayed high and dry. Mimi was our greeter and there was a mix-up with changing over from Sonia but eventually all was sorted out. The apartment is only 5 mins to St Marks and to the vaporetto and 2 mins to the little supermarket. Castello is a great place to base yourself for ease of getting around (when the streets weren't flooded of course!) The apartment is as shown in the photos although I thought the pics marked as the ''exterior'' were the actual exterior but they are not. The apartment is about 200 mts further up the street. WiFi worked well and also a great shower. The only things I would raise are the hall lights not being able to be turned off and only one kitchen towel requiring it being handwashed every night. Also a non Italian style coffee maker would be most welcome.
“great place to stay and perfect location.”
location, location, this apt located within 5 minutes walk to san Marco, and you stay within the residence of the local, thus gives you a unique experience. Sonia is very helpful in pointing out good restaurant, even groceries. She is also very friendly and greet us promptly at the location. The apt make you feel like staying in a home, you are able to cook, do laundry.
