Nice modern apartment totally refurbished in a bohemian building of 1910. It is composed by:

* 2 bedrooms (with king and queen size bed)

* Large sitting and dining room

* Big and fully equipped kitchen

* Sunny covered veranda of 12 square metres

* 1 complete bathroom and 1 smaller toilet

* 1 studio for working

* 1 complete room at disposition that you can use as a wardrobe and leave your luggage in

The apartment has individual gas heating and air conditioned.

Parquet floor and half timbered original catalan roof.

It is situated at the last floor (3rd floor) and there is no lift, please be prepared to climb and be fit! It is a small and quiet building with few neighbours, it is very sunny and lightened all day long. We rent the entire flat, it is not shared. You will find that you have plenty of space to relax and access to all the comforts of a modern home. You are invited to cook, enjoy a sumptuous breakfast on the veranda or relax on the confortable couch.

It is situated in Poble Sec neighbourhood, that stretches from Plaza España to the port, nestled between Avenida Parallel and the enormous park areas on Montjuic, one of the city's most beautiful and interesting hill. The "Poble Sec" has managed to maintain its charm and authenticity better than other Barcelona's neighbourhoods and it is full of bar and lively restaurants. In fact, the Poble Sec is where you can find one of the best traditional tapas bar of Barcelona, Quimet Quimet (Poeta Cabanyes, 25 - very, very close to the apartment). Only at 20 metres you will find Carrer Blai: the main pedestrian street of the neighborood, along with the charming Plaza Sortidor there are the ideal places where to enjoy a cocktail, a coffee or some delicious food in one of the many open air terraces.

The Poble Sec offers a wide range of cultural activities and features several popular theatres. It lies at the foot of Montjuic Park where you can find some sports facilities (including the Olympic Stadium), a Botanical Garden, the Joan Miró Foundation and the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC). The view of the city you can enjoy from Montjuic is really impressive and you can decide to walk up to the top if you feel fit or take the funicular from the Parallel metro station. The Ramblas, Raval and Gothic Quarter are a short 10 minutes walking distance away and is very easy to get there: just cross Avenida Parallel and wander through the multicultural and lively Raval neighbourhood until you reach Las Ramblas or Plaza Catalunya. The Poble Sec is also connected to other parts of the city and important tourist attractions by metro (lines L2 and L3 as well as several bus lines that are only 150 mts away from our apartment).

Late check in after 20.00 hrs and early check out before 08.00 hrs have a supplement of 20 € to be paid locally

Response from the owner Thanks for the review Paul, it has been a pleasure to host your family in Barcelona Some comments to be honest and clear: " It is situated at the last floor (3rd floor) and there is no lift, please be prepared to climb and be fit! " This is written in the apartment description , I think it is clear enough to avoid misunderstandings.... Coffee machine is Nespresso as you said, we give a start up Kit capsules for coffee and suggest to go to Nespresso shop for more capsules, as we think that compatible ones are not good even if premium. Other than that there are also 2 moka machines neapolitan style in the kitchen that can be used for alternative coffee.
