“When Green is Pure Gold: What a Treasure!”
We recently had the great pleasure of staying at artha for 2 weeks while my daughter received treatment for her scoliosis in nearby Steven's Point. Although the trip was not planned for pleasure, we were delighted in our choice of accommodations and enjoyed artha tremendously. The owners Marguerite and Bob Ramlow and their son Leif made every effort to ensure we were comfortable, surpassing any level of service we had experienced anywhere, down to making sure the fire was lit when we wanted it and serving delicious vegan-friendly breakfasts as early as we needed. The Bed & Breakfast is situated on a peaceful, beautiful tract of land and we enjoyed being surrounded by the glory of nature and the calm it offers. The warm and generous spirit of our hosts made this a trip we will always treasure.
“Always a fantastic experience”
I've been to artha 4 times now, and every trip makes me anxious for the next. It's a beautiful bed & breakfast nestled into a quiet rural setting. Explore the property, do a walking meditation, go see the gardens, get lost in great conversation over a cup of artha tea. The Sustainable Living part of it is very educational and I have so much respect for Marguerite and Bob for living their lives this way. I'm always there for the Yoga retreats and I find Marguerite to be one of the warmest, most inspiring people I've ever met. She has such wonderfully positive energy!
“Relaxing in the Wisconsin Countryside”
We were very pleased with our stay at artha. The surroundings are beautiful, and we were close to the Chain of Lakes, where we went one day and rented a pontoon boat. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, and our hosts made us feel very much at home. Lovely breakfasts!
“Beautiful location, beautiful people”
We stay when we exhibit at the Midwest Renewable Energy association Fair each June.
“Lovely, peaceful old/surprisingly new Farmhouse”
The farm is set in a beautiful valley surrounded by woods and hills. But, this is not an ordinary farm. The old farmhouse has been remodeled to be energy efficient. It reminded me of the artist Carl Larson's paintings. The interior is clean and uncluttered with Swedish appearing very comfortable furniture. The beds have European style puffs. There are 4 gathering places for a large family, including a deck surrounded by gardens off the front of the house. There are flower gardens everywhere and a huge organic vegtable garden. Strawberries from the garden were a delicious part of our homemade breakfasts. There is a yoga studio in the energy efficient straw-bale barn. We also were able to have yoga lessons in a lovely free-standing summerhouse. We went for walks in the woods and swimming at a near-by lake. We played games inside and out instead of watchng TV. Marguerite and Bob Ramlow are friendly, efficient hosts. My family will definitly be returning.
