“An idyllic interlude in the ultimate of luxury and gracious livi”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2012

My wife and I, with three other couples, had rented the Muazzo Palace. The weather was kind for the whole of our stay. We arrived from the airport by taxi which dropped us at the Ponte Muazzo,a 50 metre walk from the entrance to the Muazzo Palace. The entrance hall is magical, it contains a lovely wellhead, a graceful statue and two splendid Venetian lions carved in marble who guard the doorway onto the canal. The palace is reached by stairs to the piano nobile. One enters into a lovely library (converted from the original entrance hall).Off this library is a superb living room running virtually the whole length of the Palace. At the end is a balcony which looks out onto a quiet canal with lovely views to the left and right. Off this living room are three of the four double bedrooms. All are furnished in beautiful taste and there is some remarkable art of the walls. Air-conditioning, television and every modern convenience is available...and a superb kitchen. The location is ideal. Just off the regular tourist routes, in a quiet and peaceful location. The nearest supermarket is 5 minutes away and there are no steps or bridges to negotiate as you carry home your bottled water! St Mark's Square and the Rialto are a 7/8 minute walk. One of the loveliest squares in Venice,Santa Maria Formosa,is close by and is surrounded by plenty of shopping areas and excellent restaurants. The most modern Hospital in the whole of Italy is 3 minutes away in the square fo San Paulo et Giovanni. The nearest Vaporetto stop will take you around the main Island or to the nearby Islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. Water taxis will collect you from the Ponte Muazzo. I cannot think of a better location from which to explore the magic of the Stones of Venice.

“true luxury good value”

Reviewed 2 Mar 2012

Once you enter the Muazzo apartment it takes your breath away- it´s unique blend of antique furniture, collectors items and modern art oozes lavish luxury from every corner. It´s clearly a place that has been created by the owner to enjoy with his friends. Testimony to this is also the impressive collection of wine glasses. The cleaning lady comes every day, so it´s actually very good value for money. Tucked away in a small alley only 200m from SS. Giovanni e Paolo, it´s close to S. Marks, the Biennale area, and the airport via the alilaguna stop ospedale. The courtyard on the ground floor also has it´s own door to the canal. Highly recommended. Don´t go there if you dislike antique furniture, marble bathrooms and massive wooden kitchen tables.

“Magnificent”

Reviewed 28 Feb 2012

I am a writer. Unfortunately, I'm obligated to hide my true identity since I do not wish to be stalked during my future stays at this luxury vacation spot. I started writing my 3rd and 4th novel in Venice. I would pull up a chair next to the "balcone” and watch the gondoliers acting as traghetti's around the canal. It is truly an enchanted condo. Large rooms with high ceilings, an amazing collection of art work, a beautiful library and a gym... What more could you ask for... Sorprendente!!! My partner and I hope to spend many more weeks at this beautiful condo in the coming years.

Enjoyed a wonderful holiday with my family at this beautifully decorated and fully equipped apartment. It exceeded all of our expectations and provided us the luxury we are used too. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing Italian getaway.

“A Place to Remember”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2012

I found it to be a most relaxing and pleasurable place to stay, The decor was serene and extremely tasteful. I have to say I spent a lot of time in the Turkish steam bath getting refreshed. I felt so peaceful getting ready to go out to experience Venice both morning and evening in the luxurious marble bathroom. I loved the balcony and the view...spectacular! with canal views and the sight of Venice right at my fingertips. The entire place was spacious with a professional cooks kitchen, which was used when I had a party of friends over to indulge them in the feast of Venice. There was more then enough space for the ones that wanted to stay the night. The sheer opulence of the place was homey, elegant and a destination I would go back tooo. Whoever owns it, thank you for sharing it with family, friends and myself. I will be back! Laurie Smith Weisberg

“Wonderful stay in luxurious four bedroom apartment, highly recom”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2012

The area where the apartment is located is ideal, everything is walking distance and is right on the canal. Decoration is beautiful and very tasteful, the kitchen is amazing and the master bathroom is somewhere you'll never want to leave. In short, anyone looking for a great time in Venice in a luxurious yet affordable and fun way, this apartment is definitely a great deal.

“A walk way to heaven...”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2012

You don't know what to expect until your boat pulls up next to the house and you walk in through the small tunnel towards a mesmerizing stone walk way which connect to a beautiful stair case. The natural light coming through the ceiling is one of this locations fortes. You walk up the stairs towards the large doors and open the gate to heaven. The moment you step foot into this beautiful 4 bedroom venetian apartment you realize you never want to leave. The view, the art work, the large bedrooms, the beautiful kitchen. We practically called the agent and tried to get in contact with the owners so we could put in an offer but we were turned down because it wasn't for sale. So now we just try to book it a few times a year. I warn you, the book fast! I already booked it for 2 weeks in the summer so you can't take my spot :)
