“Great spot for a family get away”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2014

We loved this condo. It accomodated two families with small children comfortably. The location was perfect with a central location that was easy for us to enjoy San Diego (Sea World, Legoland in Carlsbad and of course the beach). The service with Nancy's rentals was very helpful as we needed their assistance with check-in and wifi connectivity. We highly recommend and would definitely consider coming back.

Response from the manager Hi Gina, Great! We are so glad that your family enjoyed the stay and the condo! We are always here to help and thank you, that you gave us the opportunity to help you in the minor issues you did experience. We look forward to working with you again soon. -NVR Team

“Good location”

Reviewed 26 Jan 2014

Nancy's Vacation Rentals has excellent response via phone, e-mail, etc. "Ceci's" condo was extremely well equipped in all areas. The locks, keys, codes, etc. for entering the garage/condo were easy to use. The location was quiet and convient. It is an ideal set-up for a group. We could not use the fireplace because we could not locate the "key", however, we didn't need it due to warm temps and minimum stay. When entering the condo each time, a musty smell was detected but disappeared once the windows were opened. We enjoyed our stay. "Steps" to and in the condo could be difficult to maneuver for disabled or older guests?

“Awesome experience.”

We had a great time at the condo. Was very impressed with the location and the place. We're really impressed with the fact that we didn't even have to worry about buying soap, laundry detergent and all other amenities. Will definitely come back and stay again.

“Comfortable and spacious”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2013

Fabulous location,as the Mission Bay beach was just outside the back door of the complex. Short walk, and even shorter bike ride, to the Pacific Ocean beach. Condo was clean, comfortable and lots of room for five people. The kitchen was slightly dated, but not a deal breaker. Short drives to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Gas Lamp district, La Jolla and Coronado.

“San Diego vacation”

Reviewed 27 Jun 2013

During our stay at the Riviera's Villa Condo, we received excelent service. The CSR was very polite even during our extended one day stay. The home was well cleaned before our arrival and very family friendly. What we loved 1. The floor plan and security. 2. space in the rooms. 3. Proximity to the private beach. Areas of improvement. 1. Size of parking. 2. Internet connection speed.

“Lovely place, terrible master bed”

Reviewed 27 Apr 2013

We enjoyed the location and the apartment and would have given it a much higher rating - except that the bed in the master bedroom was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Like sleeping on concrete.

“Simply wonderful!”

It is a wonderful apartment. Extremely convenient for the Crew Classic.

“Peace & Serenity Found on Sail Bay”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2013

This location is one of my favorites in all of San Diego! I have stayed all over San Diego and there's nothing that quite beats Mission/Sail Bay. This condo offered comfortable and cozy accommodations for rest & relaxation. Clean and up-kept in every way. I stayed for business and pleasure and this was the perfect place for it! Quiet, pleasant and convenient to everything. Grocery stores and eateries were just around the corner. My favorite was riding the beach cruisers around the Bay. At night, viewing the boats and lights from the Balcony was a dream and during the day the calm sunshine and light breezes poured in. This condo has plenty of space and is well equipped with everything. I would highly recommend it to friends, family and others. Thank you.

“Christmas in San Diego”

Very nice condo, lots of room and comfortable beds. Coffee maker should be replaced. It does not shut off automatically. Great location, would stay there again. Thanks,

“Remodelled 37-year old condo in great location with partial bay”

Reviewed 8 Oct 2012

Condo is quite nice with good quality furnishings and a nice layout. The view out the windows was really disappointing - the bedroom windows all either have a view of the elevated walkway or the windows of the (very) nearby building next door, so the drapes were always closed to preserve privacy (having them open wouldn't be of much benefit anyway as there was nothing attractive to look at.) There are lots of floor to ceiling windows in the living room, but they too look at the building between this unit and ocean, and the rather boring walkway outside, and you feel like you are in a fishbowl as people walk by a few feet from you while you go about your business. You do have a partial view of Sail Bay from the balcony, the kitchen table, and the kitchen, and for a couple months a year the sun is in the right spot so you can watch it set from the apartment. Building was built in 1975 (according to Zillow) and has been nicely maintained and yet still shows its age. Same goes for the apartment interior. For example, the master bath is very nicely remodeled, but when the aC or heat is on the fan blows so loudly you can barely sleep. This would be ideal if you were trying to drown out noise from a party, but was annoying otherwise. Kitchen has a dated feel (cabinets and countertops) but has new stainless steel appliances made by Samsung. There is an electric grill on the balcony that is a poor substitute for a charcoal or even a gas grill - I guess code prevents real fire from being used for cooking. The location is fantastic (walk downstairs to the beach), the size of the unit was perfect for my wife and I, our three kids, and my folks, and we had a great time. There is a building between this condo and the beach that blocks most of the view. While the location of this complex is great, the location of the condo within the complex was poor. Had this unit been at the front of the building I would have given 5 stars for location instead of 3.
