“Great time with family and friends.”
Spent a great month in EI. Beautiful ocean view. 15th year at Ocean reef. It's the best. Emerald Isle realty is great to work with, always trying to make your vacation the best experience.
“Clean, well decorated condo with beach just steps away”
This is our second stay at Ocean Reef, first time at 8-A-2. This condo was perfect for our family of four. Clean, and fairly well updated. Kitchen was well stocked, nice to have linens already on beds. Our kids loved the pool and basketball court. Nice, newer porch furniture and beautiful views of ocean. Grounds are beautifully maintained. Deck boards and rails on the porches could use some maintenance, and the master shower had issues with mold. Water pressure was poor and no scald sensor on master shower so water became scalding hot when someone else in unit or unit below turned on another faucet. Wireless was slow at best (DSL) for the times we were actually able to connect. Despite the few issues we had, we would probably come back to this unit again.
“Good place for fall fishing”
Pros: -Great oceanfront views -Convenient location -New appliances -Water hose conveniently located on boardwalk to beach -Place fairly clean upon arrival -Weather was perfect and fishing was fantastic! Cons: -Sensitive entry gate, multiple tries before accepting passcode -”High speed” internet is really DSL (0.7 mbps download speed...yes that is point zero seven) -Spare bathroom toilet seat broken (pinched your butt when you sat on it) -Towel rods in master bathroom kept falling -Few minor stains on carpet -Lightbulbs missing from a couple of fixtures -Dryer vent kept coming loose why drying clothes -Patio furniture used and abused...no umbrella -Refrigerator door did not close tight all the time

“The Shore Tradition”
This was our 16th visit to the North Carolina Shores. We previously did New Jersey, Deleware, and Maryland shores for many, many years. We enjoy visiting with relatives and friends and shopping antiques malls on the way to and from the Island, more than 500 miles from our home in Central Pennsylvania. The accomodations are excellent, the weather was mostly fine, and a good time was had by all. There are a few minor deficiencies with the unit which we rented, but those comments were left with the keys for maintenance to handle. I think it would be beneficial to include an exit questionaire in the key packet so tenants can report small findings or items needing minor maintenance when they arrive, and/or when they leave. (Items such as broken towel rack). It is nice to know that when you have a local question, a call to the office yields a pleasant response that satisfies.

We found some items needing attention on the unit and submitted a list. Overall we had a wonderful time the unit seems to be well stocked and close ti the beach.

“R & R”
Saw dolphins, many pelicans, beautiful rainbows and angry oceans.Condo was very good except for the master bathroom shower which really needs attention.
This was an awesome place with a great view. Will defiantly stay in this location again. The garden tub was not clean and near a public beach access point.
“Stutts Vacation 2010”
We were happy with the location, as we've stayed at Ocean Reef three years in a row. The things that were so nice were: 1. The phone went out after two days and never came back on. 2. We were supposed to have DSL Internet, but didn't, and couldn't because the phone was out. 3. We didn't have garage access. I was told by the EI rep that this wasn't listed as an amenity, but since the previous units we've stayed in had garage access, it was just the assumption that this would be the case as well. I would recommend making this abundantly clear to renters in the future. Not so much for car storage, but to store beach gear like chairs, etc. 4. The TV in the living room was horrible. The picture was so bad we just gave up and didn't use it. 5. The place needs painting, and some TLC - lamp table was falling apart, walls dingy, etc.

I am sorry that you experienced issues with the telephone, internet, and television. I have maintenance record about the telephone not working but nothing about the internet or television. I believe this was an isolated matter, perhaps an issue with the service provider. As for the garage, we advertise all amenities which you will be able to access. If a garage is not listed in the property description, guests do not have access, even if it is at the property. Amenities offered to our guests are determined by each individual owner so they do differ from on property to another. Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your review. “2 days of bliss”
A delightful rental unit, clean and comfortably furnished. The master bath 2 person tub was spectacular. View of beach terrific. Beach access simply by walking outside. The beach was quiet and we found good shells. A great place for long beach walks.. good for families, or a quiet couples getaway. A relaxing place to stay for a weekend.
“Nice Ocean View Experience”
Very nice location where you could constantly hear and see the ocean. Weather too cold to swim when we were there but walks along shore great. Condo was comfortable and spacious with great views of ocean from living area and deck.
