“An amazing stay...”

Reviewed 21 May 2013

We stayed at Villa Centaura at the end of summer and is was absolutely fabulous. There were two couples and a couple of single friends that stayed at the villa with us - the villa was much larger than we expected and there was ample amounts of privacy and and common entertainment areas for everyone / couple. View and location are unbeatable. The Villa owners were very hospitable and settled us in very nicely to the house. Unlike most rentals, this villa is a home that is very warm with books and small interesting collectables throughout. Really special and I highly recommend it.

“Perfectly wonderful”

Reviewed 3 Nov 2012

6 adult friends spent a week at Villa Centaura and could not have been happier. The Villa is in a great location, close to restaurants, groceries and an easy walk to the beach. The Villa is very clean, very roomy while still homey, and all the amenities one needs. Views from every room, lovely terrace, interesting decor. The owners are very friendly, the manager very helpful. I would go back in a minute! We all loved our Positano villa. Bonus...Positano recycles everything. Well done.

“Home away from home”

Reviewed 12 Jan 2012

We were a family of 5 adults who rented this elegant villa for 10 days in October. Every aspect of the accommodation was tasteful and well presented, although some of the furnishings were a bit tired and due for replacement. There are a number of items of personal memorabilia in the villa which contributed to the feeling of 'home'. The view is splendid, the villa has two balconies and we spent many hours on both. The owners (a husband and wife) live nearby, and are happy to provide assistance. They are fiercely proud of their beautiful property, and I dread to think what they would do if a guest caused serious damage. The local bus (not the Sita bus) leaves from almost right outside the front door. This was of great assistance to us, as one of our party had mobility issues. The main level of the villa is a good size and it is easy to move around, although there are at least a couple of stairs into all the bedrooms. While not suitable for a wheelchair, the villa offered a wonderful accommodation and access option for a person not capable of walking up and down the hill every day. The villa looks over fornilla beach, about a 3 minute walk from the town centre. This suited us perfectly. We were all about resting up in a beautiful location. One downside for our family with 2 chefs, is that the villa has two kitchens, and the better equipped is downstairs, away from the view. The upstairs kitchen is somewhat small, and as we were staying during the autumn, there were occasions when the weather was a bit cool and we needed to eat indoors. We did eat at a number of restaurants in Positano and found the food to be of good quality and reasonably priced. However there is a lot of fresh produce in the area, particularly seafood, and preparing this in a small kitchen was a bit challenging.
