Located at the end of the Nicoya Peninsula, Santa Teresa is one of Costa Rica's most beautiful vacation destinations. In 2015, travelers on TripAdvisor voted Santa Teresa the #1 Destination in Central America.

Plaza Royal is conveniently located in central Santa Teresa. On the main road, a little over a kilometer north of the crossroads at the entrance of town, everything you need is less than a 5 minute walk away. In the Plaza itself you can enjoy a delicious breakfast at La Sandwicheria, rent a surfboard in Lost in Santa (one of Santa Teresa's well known surf shops), schedule a massage, spa day, and more in Breakaway Spa, buy the perfect bikini and beach accessories, and buy unique, hand-made clothes and jewelry in Swell. Right across the street is Casa del Mar, one of the restaurants Santa Teresa is famous for. Yoga classes are available less than a minute away, and there is a grocery store across the street as well. Many more stores, groceries, and restaurants are within walking distance.

Plaza Royal is only a short 150 meter walk to you to the beach, and a 5 minute walk to the Banana Beach Surf Break, perhaps the most well known surf break in Santa Teresa. Regional and International Surf Contests are held there.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I make changes to my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Emilya Tal (the owner) a message.

If Emilya Tal (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
