“Enjoy Life”

Reviewed 1 Aug 2015

We love the location of this house. We love the view of God's creation. It will accommodate many people and not feel crowded. The air works great. Plenty of parking. Close commute to all the attractions. Not a crowded beach. But...it needs updating. WiFi comes and goes. Most secondary TV's do not work. Fridge never got cold as is should be and YSC never came. They told us we put to much stuff in there. After the 3rd day, we stopped calling. The furniture is dated and nasty. And most of the closets are locked to prevent customer from using them. Bathroom doors do not lock. For the weekly rate you pay, these are big issues.

“Awesome 3 story house”

Reviewed 16 Jun 2015

This is a wonderful 3 story house that is spacious and plenty of sleeping space. It is located on the beach which is very easy for the kids to go back & forth from. The beach is not very crowded but still very close to town & The Hangout. We enjoyed our stay!!

“A big house for a lot of people.”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2013

This house was big and had lots of room to spread out-3 floors in fact! We loves the full wall of windows in the living room that looked out directly on the water. What a beautiful view. And the fact that it only took a few steps to get to the water was fabulous. Our beach was uncrowded; just families from each house around us. A far cry from the typical Gulf Shores beaches. My only complaints were these: 1. We had a few "cleaning" issues-namely fish guts still in the disposal so the entire kitchen stunk horribly. We ran the disposal for several minutes and flushed lots of soap and water down it, and were finally able to get rid of the smell. But that would have been nice to not have to deal with. Also, the master bedroom bathroom had blood on the sink/countertop. Blood. Unacceptable. And gross. 2. Our circuit threw a breaker when we had just 2 hair dryers going at the same time-and not even in the same bathroom! We had to call the realty company to find the breaker box (for figure reference, it's behind a curtain on the 1st floor); but it took us 4 hours and 2 calls to get anyone to call us back to tell us where it was, and then the advice was "look behind all the pictures on the walls on every floor". Very helpful. 3. Lastly, the stairs going from the 1st floor to the main floor (where the living room, kitchen, and dining room are) are very steep and not very easy to walk up-even for a group of 20-30 year old girls. I wouldn't advise this house for someone who is older or has knee/hip issues. Besides that, the stairs feel like they are bowing and falling apart under the carpet and probably need to be replaced. Despite all that, we still had a great weekend!

“Family Vacation in Gulf Shores”

Reviewed 19 Sep 2013

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach house "enjoy life". We had 7 adults and 2 babies and there was plenty of room. The beach is right at your back steps and the house has everything furnished that will need besides food and drinks. Plenty of parking as well. Probably 4 cars could park there. You are right down the street from all the stores and restaurants and the zoo. There were a few downsides... The master suite has no closet ... Small tv. The only rooms with working cable tv were the master suite and living room. The other rooms has a tv with DVD players. The ice maker didn't work. But we made it a happy trip regardless. It is a beautiful place just think the owner should spend a little money fixing dresser drawer pulls that are broke and broke blinds and lamps with knobs broke. It is 3 stories tall so not good for elderly or diabled. If you have babies bring at least 4 baby gates.

“Pleasantly surprised!”

Reviewed 26 Jul 2013

Week vacation with three other families (8 adults, 7 kids) and the house had plenty of room. The photos online made the house look dated but to our surprise it felt very new with fresh paint and a new name (previously "The Gull's Nest"). The house is clean and well maintained and right on the beach. Two maintenance issues during our stay, the smoke alarm was fixed within an hour but the wifi was out all week. Appliances all worked great and plenty of dishes for a large group. Nice additions to the house would be a second fridge (perhaps in the downstairs kid area) and an upgraded outdoor shower. All in all we had a great time in the house and would rent again.

“Worth Repeating, Though”

Reviewed 26 Jun 2013

On the good side: - AC was great! - Space was plenty adequate for the whole family - Parking was good - Location of the house was great; easy to get to places we wanted to go - View of the beach was breathtaking night and day; loved the big window! On the down side: - House was not thoroughly cleaned (bits of trash throughout the house) - Numerous small maintenance items throughout (broken blinds, ceiling fans, light bulbs, deck latch, lounge chair, etc.) - Didn't get the feeling from personnel that we were the customer

“Gulls Nest - Gulf Shores”

Good Times! The house had everything, even the crock pot. Although you will want to notice any scratches or dents on appliances and walls. Anything that looks like half broke you should mention to Youngs Suncoast. Other than that, it is a great house with plenty of room. Have a grateful time!

“Awesome home”

Reviewed 8 May 2013

This home has a breath-taking view from each floor. It is very spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. Young's staff are very helpful and attentive to my needs. The aC unit was not working and they sent a repairman immediately. I have rented from them for over 10 years and they are great every time. The only negative feedback I have is the wifi was locked and I never did get the owner's password to utilize the web and the only television that worked was the living room. Overall it is a great rental!

Response from the manager We wanted to let you know that the AC was replaced with a brand new unit, we've resolved the TV issues including loft being rewired to support a television, and any internet issues have also been resolved. We would love for you to come back and enjoy the updates! Thank you for your review!

“Overall Happy with the house. Not Happy with the Young's Sun Co”

Reviewed 5 Apr 2013

This property is nice but could use some updating. It did accommodate our large group very well and never felt crowded. The views of the beach through the two story windows are absolutely stunning and when you walk down the stairs from the deck you are literally right on the beach. The really only unpleasant part of the vacation was afterward when Young's Sun Coast will try to come after you for bogus cleaning and damage charges. Do not let them push you around! The day you check in make sure to make note of all the damages or any thing that is remotely dirty and call them about it immidiatly. Especially make a note of the carpet, that is one of their favorite things to charge cleaning fees for. All said and done I would recommend Gulls Nest for your next vacation it is a nice property and is reasonably priced. Just be sure to be on your toes with Young's Sun Coast Rentals.
