“A little piece of heaven”

Reviewed 5 Sep 2012

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. The view of the lake is incredible. Went kayaking and canoeing on the lake. It was less than a 10 minute drive to Bald Mountain our hike was rewarded with a beautiful view of the entire area. A full moon on the second night just lit up the lake. If we come back to the area we would definitely try and rent the same place. Ps - the Morton folks were very nice and helpful too!

“Our stay was beautiful and relaxing.”

Fiddlehead is a beautiful, charming house, and we couldn't have been better accommodated during our stay on Rangeley Lake. We especially appreciated having the canoe, kayak, grill and outdoor fireplace available, and we enjoyed time reading and hanging out in the solid wood living area and the bright screened porch. We also appreciate the opportunity to rent for a partial week.

“Relaxing”

Our favorite camp to rent. Classic Maine camp with just the right amount of amenities. Very clean with an acceptional lawn and waterfront. Only negative is the proximinty to a major road but all of the positives more than trumped this one feature. Great service as always from Morton & Furbish.

“What an awesome spot on the lake!”

We would have liked more towels and blankets. The fire place was very smokey, in spite of the fact that we opened the damper. Maybe it was the direction of the wind. The cottage was beautiful! We loved our stay there and would defintely comeback! The grounds are so pretty and well kept.

“What a view!”

We usually "rough it" on vacation but this year we opted for a fall, lakefront vacation with the comforts of "home". What we lucked out getting was a beautiful old camp, a beautiful lake and most of all, a gorgeous view. Every morning and every evening offered us varying scenes. It was probably the most relaxing vacation we have ever had!

“Wonderful, peaceful cool getaway!”

Fiddlehead is adorable! The photos don't of course do it justice... loved the fact that the firewood was in the shed available just 100 feet away because we got a romantic rainy/foggy/cool and cozy hideaway for a whole week! Just after Labor day so it was quiet on the lake, with the flocks of Loons, playin', and fishin'. Really want to 'not tell too many people' about it! Big kitchen - we love to cook! Just wish the dock had been out... a bit hazardous and unsitely, (likely just the time of year, so we weren't too disappointed) We got out on the lake on one sunny day with some creativity, anyway. We'd return!!! Lin and Mike
