“Loved Finn Key”

Reviewed 13 Feb 2014

Condo and furnishings were very nice and clean. Loved the patio and proximity to the pool! Location was extremely central- easy access to Duval, Mallory Square & Fort Zach Beach. Great being able to walk to almost anything we wanted to do. Only complaint was the noise level in condo- walls and ceiling are thin & we heard everything upstairs, especially in the morning! But that is not the fault of the owners or rental company- bring a noisemaker to sleep at night! We would definitely stay here again, great time!

“Family Get away”

Our family - adult children and grand baby enjoyed a week in January in Key West Finn Key was perfect - plenty of space - a huge porch with table and grill The boys cooked several dinners for all of us

“Finn Key - great fun!”

Reviewed 16 Jan 2013

Our family of 8(from Va) rented the Finn Key Condo and another condo in the Shipyard Condos over New Year's Week and had a wonderful time! The location to everything we wanted to do in Key West was the best part...we rented bikes and loved being a bike-ride away from the beach to Mallory Square. The kids loved being near the "festivities" and shopping on Duvall Street, and we liked the security of the gated community. We prepared breakfast and lunches in the condos, and after a day of deep-sea fishing we even had dinner on the patio and played board games. The pool is located directly behind the Finn Key, and there were plenty of chairs for reading and sun-bathing. Lots of towels were provided for the pool and beach. The only complaint we had was there was only one bathroom for the 2 bedrooms in the Finn Key. Our other condo had 2 bathrooms. It slept 4 comfortably. The Finn Key was clean, comfortable, and and we would recommend it for everyone!

“Great family place to stay!!”

Reviewed 28 Mar 2012

Finn Key unit is conveniently located right next to the pool, which was cleaned daily. This unit is only two blocks from Duval and not much further to Front Street - easy walking distance. The unit was clean and tidy and had lots of towels (which is good for the beach, pool and showering). The living room furniture is rattan and is therefore not exceptionally comfortable, but very functional. There is a fold out couch available. There is a kitchen (no dishwasher - didn't matter to us); it's a little small, but functional. The only thing it needs is a cheese grater!! The bedrooms are comfortable. There is a barbecue on the deck which we used quite a bit. All in all we had a very comfortable stay and would certainly recommend this to anyone with kids. We have a 17 year old daughter and felt very safe there (it's a gated community) and there were lots of families there with small kids (2 - 6 age range). The light on the deck was not working when we arrived and we informed the management; they promptly delivered a new bulb. Wifi was a bit patchy, but ultimately you're on holidays - get off the computer!!! We would like to have been able to check in before 4:00 p.m. but that was not possible. We paid $2,000. Cdn for the week, a little steep, but acceptable.

“great location, great condo”

“Perfect place for us!”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2012

We spent 2 weeks in Finn Key and we loved it. It was clean, well maintained, and in the absolute perfect location. We walked and biked nearly everywhere we wanted to go. The entire condo has wireless internet now. Previous reviews had said it was only available at the pool. All appliances and furnishings were in great working order. Why did I not give this a 5 star rating? It has nothing to do with the unit at all. When they were built, no effort was made to insulate the sounds from one unit to the other. For the 2 weeks we were there, there apparently was a family of pachyderms living above us. They got up early and stayed up late. There is nothing the owner, nor the rental agent can do about this, and it wouldn't keep us from going back, but it kept the stay from being a full 5 star.

“Good Value and Location”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2011

Finn Key well located and a good value for Truman annex. The unit was clean and had all of the amenities one would want in Key West and even a few extras including beach towels, a small cooler, and a blanket to make picnicing on the beach easier.

“Nice place”

Reviewed 22 Nov 2010

Pros: Great Location. Centrally located for easy access to both ends of Duval Street. Close Proximity to Post Office to get stamps, mail post cards, send packages home. Cons: Front door lock was a nightmare to get open. This was reported to at Home in Key West. Also it would be nice if there was a "converter kit" to turn the twin beds in one bedroom into a single queen.

“First anniversary trip to Key West”

Reviewed 24 Oct 2010

Location location location : This place was very cute, I loved the at home feeling vs a hotel or time share unit. Huge plus - this is close to everything we liked in Key West : Green Parrot for blues music, Blue Heaven & Santiago's for eats, La Concha for best spot to watch sunsets - per has a 360 view of KW. Also ++ pool view & access - we could just look out the back door to see if the pool was crowded or not, and trash bins were across the parking lot - this may sound strange but - heck who wants to take a long walk with their trash?

“Finn Key at Truman Annex Feb. 2010”

Reviewed 18 Mar 2010

The Truman Annex is really nice and well located. It is an easy walk to the Zachary Taylor beach and all the rest of the sights in the old town. The Finn Key condo was well located - right on the pool and had a really nice patio with a white picket fence around it. The decor was really nice too. It was clean and everything worked. The only thing I would like to see improved is the comfort of the two chairs in the living room. The condos are small - only about 10-12 feet wide, so it is hard to fit in regular sized furniture. In this case the sofa was fine, but the two chairs were made of rattan and were really uncomfortable. It would be hard to sit on them and watch TV for an extended period. Having said this, most of the condos we looked at on line had furniture that wasn't made for lounging by couch potatoes. There were people upstairs, and we could hear them walking around a lot at times. If you get an upstairs condo, you don't get the nice patio. Also, you would have to walk up and down. The downstairs was really convenient and had the nice patio. So I guess people would have to choose what was most important. We have stayed in a number of different kinds of places in Key West, and the Truman Annex is really nice. It is somewhat pricy, but everything in Key West is expensive. The location is the main plus. It is also very quiet with no Spring Breakers, etc.
