“Key West Condo - across from the beach!”

Nice condo with excellent view of the Atlantic Ocean. Could not see sunrise nor sunset from the condo, but it met all of our needs. We live in FL so it's easier to rent a condo rather then a hotel. This way, we can bring more stuff and make some of our own meals too! The condo was very comfortable and we plan to return. The only thing that we were not happy with was the fact that the walls are too thin. You can hear people walk about upstairs and since upstairs is a rental also, children running is a sound that you will not forget. Pool area is great. It is shared with the residents so you better behave/make your children behave. I would highly recommend this condo since it is a good deal for the buck.

Brisa del Mar has a lot offer it is across the street from the beach, it is a short ride (10 minutes) from Duval street and the other major tourist attractions and the community itself is very friendly and welcoming. The condo was clean and we had no issues with cabinet doors or lightbulbs etc that were referenced perviously. There are two things you need to be aware of when staying there. The end of the island it is located on is adjacent to a number of salt ponds. They do give off a pretty substabtial low tide type of smell especially in the evening. The second is that the location is great but it is on a very busy road that runs along the beach so there is a pretty high level of traffic noise. Both of these things fade into the back ground after a few days and did not negatively impact my vacation. In general Key West well exceeded my expectations and the fishing, beach, kayaking and doing nothing at all were wonderful and I am already thinking about our next trip. The best part about Brisa del Mar was working with Libby and the team from at Home in Key West she in particular made everything easy and is first rate!

“Less than what I expected”

This is in a great location for the island of Key West. The room is decent for the price but very much outdated. None of the lightbulbs worked in the room and when we notified staff, nothing was done. We had to move the lightbulbs from the living area to the bedroom for light at night. Kitchen cabinet fell off the hinges when we opened it. Overall it was a decent stay though, very quiet and convenient. The pool is awesome. Wish they had offered 2 gate keys to accomodate our guests so that we didn't have to worry about sharing. Would stay there again.

Response from the manager Thank you for reviewing our home. I am dismayed that you encountered problems like burned out bulbs and a cabinet door in disrepair; our office is open 6 days a week and we are on-call 24/7. It is inconceivable to me that our staff knew of this and did not respond. We have a full time maintenance person as well as a full time housekeeping manager, either of whom could have easily taken care of these issues for you. I am especially glad to know it did not spoil your visit and look forward to your return.

Our recent stay was wonderful-the apartment was even nicer then described-the pool was beautiful-exceptionally clean apartment and environment-the view of the atlantic Ocean from the balcony was well worth the drive to Key West-the coordination at your office was hassle free and I have already recommended your agency to several friends

“Ask About Construction or Repair Work”

The condo was nice and clean with a great ocean view. We did have a problem with all the construction at the complex. The workers were on our building the entire week we were there,even on our balcony,and woke us up every morning at 6 or 7 am with very loud saws and drills,at times so loud we could not even hear the television. This went on for about 7 hours each day, for the entire week we were there. The parking lot was even taken up by their trucks and eqipment. If we had known this was taking place at the time of our vacation, we definetly would have stayed somewhere else. I realize that hurricane damage must be repaired, but I feel that we should have been informed of the constuction at the complex prior to arriving. Then we would have had the option of staying elsewhere on the island or just putting up with it. The noise was so nerve racking at times that the other couple that was with us left after 2 days because they couldn't stand it anymore.
