“Lavender jungle”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2015

We loved the place! It was great to have the bikes and we were so close to everything!! We didn't need a car! The house was very clean and we loved the back patio with the grill!!

“Perfect spot”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2014

Just the perfect size for us! We had our 7 year old with us and this place was awesome! You can walk everywhere you need to, beach included! Only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because the parking area behind our patio wasn't for us, we had to park in the other parking lot which was VERY INCONVENIENT! And the pool closes at sun down which is a big bummer! But we would definitely stay here again!

“Great week in Key West”

Reviewed 6 Feb 2013

We liked everything about staying in Truman annex & the Lavender Jungle. We appreciated there were 2 bikes there we could use, The unit had everything we needed & was very clean. The beds were also very comfortable. This was our 1st trip to Key West but won't be our last!

“Fantastic ideally located condo with excellent management group.”

Reviewed 15 Jan 2013

My family and I stayed in Lavender Jungle during Christmas week 2012. The management were incredibly nice and a pleasue to work with from the beginning to end. We won the competition for the elves to decorate a tree for us which was an added bonus, it really made our Holiday with two small children waiting on Santa. The pictures do not do this condo any justice. It has a great view of the water. It is impecably clean and well maintained. The condo has all the basic nesseceties, toilet paper, kitchen roll etc. The community pool is a short walk and was heated during our stay. Fort Zachery is a 10 minute walk,we found itb was a great place to watch the sunset. We found some great family friendly restaurants off main Duval street. The Blue Heaven been my favourite. Thank You so much to the staff at Home Key West especially Libby, Sabrina and Carrol. We are allready planning our next trip.

“wonderful condo”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2012

My sisters and I spent a week in this condo and loved it. It rained the entire week but we had a great place to stay. The swimming pool is well kept and the condo was very comfortable for the three of us. It is perfect for a couple or a couple with 2 kids. The bikes saved us money as we only had to rent one instead of three. The washer and dryer meant we brought home clean clothes and didn't have to pack as much. Our dvd player broke on our 3rd movie; I called and a new one was brought in within a couple of hours (this was a big deal since it was raining and we had just rented 3 movies). I loved the area and the fact that we were so close to the beach and a great view for the sunsets. I would definitely stay at this one again!

“Felt like home!”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2012

The reservation process was extremely easy and the reps were very helpful and friendly. As soon as we walked in the front door, it felt like home. It was decorated very nicely, had most of the supplies we needed, was clean, and it was in the perfect location. It was a few blocks, easy walking distance, from Duval St. and Front St., where the sunset celebration took place every night. An added bonus were the 2 bikes on the back patio that we used almost every day. The pool was nice. The gardens were beautiful. The only complaint I have is that it could have been better stocked with everyday supplies, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and laundry detergent. Other than that, no complaints. We will definitely go back and stay there again.

“Great KW vacaation at the Lavender Jungle”

Reviewed 1 Feb 2012

We had a wonderful stay in KW in January with our family at the Lavender Jungle within the Truman annex. It was super comfy and close to the things we wanted to do most off Duval. We did have a car and the parking at a remote lot was a surprise with a half empty lot right outside our door but it was Ok - A couple of extra pillows would have been great too but if that s the only complaint ---right!Nice furnishings and nice kitchen too with everything we needed. We found a wonderful parking lot by the 2 Brothers cafe for only $10 a day when we wanted to go to the Schooner Wharf Bar and the dock area on Front St. Had the best Bkfast at Pier House and the best dinner at Pepe's (be brave and go in as the front looks awful but--)The Navy lot was so close as was the fort and we could walk to the sunset celebration too. All in all a fabulous trip. Can't wait to go back!

“Lavender Jungle - Great Stay!”

Reviewed 19 Jan 2012

Fabulous unit, wonderful location and first rate ammenities. My only feedback specific to this location is about the patio. While it is a beautiful patio, it is largely unusable because of the sap from trees surrounding. If it is at all possible to trim them back in an effort to keep the area clean, that would be great.

Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We certainly understand your frustration with the sap from the trees. It is not the tree itself but a pest called Whitefly that draws out the sap covering anything in its way. It has been a big problem for months in Key West, but seems to have subsided. The patio and sitting area are tended to every week by a landscaper to keep it in good condition, and there should no longer be a problem with this little bug that can cause a big mess.

“Small but comfy spot close to everything”

Reviewed 2 Mar 2011

With two people this was a nice place to hole up for the night between days of enjoying the warm weather and friendly people of Key West. I'm sure it would have seemed crowded with four people and only one bathroom. We used the second bedroom as a closet and luggage storage space.
