It's not the first time we make affair with Dieter Company and always we have been satisfied. The Litchfield Retreat it's like our second home. It's quiet, clean and nearby of facilities. The staff of Dieter is competent and so kind particularly Jaque. Tank you for all you make for us, it' very appreciate. Excuse my bad english because we are french canadian.

We had the top floor penthouse view. It was nice, but very high up for a 2 year old. It would have been perfect for just the two of us. The master bed was facing a full glass wall with a great ocean view. This place is convenient to anything you need...restaurants, grocery, beach gear, etc...But not crowded at all. It's close to some great historic, art, nature sites. We will go again, but we'll stay on a lower floor.

“Not exactly what we thought”

Reviewed 28 Oct 2008

The size of the property was sufficient. Being on the top floor was nice. The issues we had were that there was a large hole in the master bedroom ceiling near the window. Several of the cheap plastic chairs on the balcony were broken, the light on the balcony was hanging by wires, there was a dining room chair without a seat and screws protruding from it (after a few days, the repairman did fix the chair)and the microwave was so small you could hardly put anything in it. Also, the refrigerator door was missing a bracket and the bedspreads definitely needed to be replaced - we didn't even use them. We used the blankets we brought with us. I was really disappointed by these accomodations and will not rent this particular unit again. We have been coming to Litchfield Retreat for the past 6 years and we have always rented unit 516.Unfortunately, it was not available when we needed it this year. Unit 612 needs a bit of work.I don't mean to be so negative, but I feel the owner needs to know about the problems in order to make it a good vacation home in the future. Since we made the rental company aware of the issues when we arrived, they may have been rectified already and everything may be perfect, but with a little updating and TLC, it has the potential to be a great little unit.

“Beach Vacation”

This condo is very nicely furnished and quite comfortable. Nice view of the ocean with easy beach access via short walk across the street. Condo building is very quiet and family oriented.

“A Mediterranean View in Litchfield, SC”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2008

The view was wonderful from this condo. Though not oceanfront, looking out over one row of lovely beachhouses gave one the feeling of vacationing in a Sicilian hillside villa. The beach access was almost directly across the street, a three minute walk to a spacious expanse of uncluttered, uncrowded sand and sea. This lovely condo was well-stocked and comfortable. The bathrooms were spotless. My only complaint was the need for mattress updating in the guest bedroom. Bring lots of towels or quarters for the coin laundry!
