“Best Vacation ever!”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2014

The drive up the mountain was an adventure, but an exciting one. Bearhug cabin is the cutest place I have ever stayed. Romantic view of the mountains, nice and cozy and very clean. My man and I can not wait to go back!

“Perfectly romantic”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2013

This cabin was perfect for our honeymoon in Bryson City. It's secluded enough to give a sense of privacy, but isn't too far from local attractions. Everything was neat, clean, and comfortable.

Response from the manager Thank you, Caleb, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. We're glad you found this honeymoon spot to be "perfectly romantic". We're glad that you found the location private but still convenient and that you felt it was clean, neat, and comfortable. “Beautiful view and beautiful cabin”

Reviewed 23 May 2013

This was a nice cabin to stay in. If you are looking for complete privacy, then this cabin may not be for you. There is a road and another cabin that overlooks the hot tub. We did love the size and comforts of the inside and the view was great, even in early april.

Response from the manager Thank you, Robert, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. We are glad that you enjoyed the view at the cabin. Please keep us in mind for future vacations. If Bear Hug Cabin is not what you're looking for, then just let us know and we can help you find a cabin. As a repeat guest you will receive a 10% discount when you call to book.

“Perfect couple's getaway”

Reviewed 8 Feb 2013

My fiance and I had a fabulous time at this cozy cabin for two! It's a perfect place for a quiet getaway to enjoy nature and each other. We enjoyed an in-cabin massage from a local mobile spa, a cozy outdoor fire, local hiking, and even woke up to soothing rain on the tin roof Saturday morning.

Response from the manager Thank you, wifetobe, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. We appreciate your time and are glad you enjoyed your stay so much. Please keep us in mind for future vacations -- as a repeat guest you will receive a 10% discount when you call to book. “very peaceful and relaxing”

Reviewed 21 Dec 2012

The view was great it snowed while we were there and it was beautiful the road to the cabin was not good and the shower was too small for my husband, but overall the cabin was cozy.

Response from the manager Thank you, Connie, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. We appreciate your feedback and are glad you found the cabin cozy, peaceful and relaxing. The road to Bear Hug Cabin is a rough road, and the shower head in the stall shower is at a height that taller people may not prefer. We do hope you will keep us in mind for future vacations -- as a repeat guest you will receive a 10% discount off any of our cabins. If Bear Hug Cabin is not what you're looking for, just let us know and we will be happy to help you find the property that best fits your needs.

“Truly a relaxing time away!!!”

Reviewed 14 Dec 2012

My husband and I chose to stay at a Bryson City cabin after a very hectic and rough 8 weeks of work. It was just what we needed. It was the perfect three days. We were on the side of a mountain and completely isolated. We awoke every morning to coffee on the porch watching the sunrise and spent the evening in the hot tub watching the sun set. We grilled, had a fire, and cooked smores. It was the perfect vacation to reconnect with eachother. We also spent a day on the trails in the Smoky Mountain park, jumped on the Smokey Railroad and drove up to Cherokee. We will be returning.

Response from the manager Thank you, Dan & Natalie, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. We are so glad this was a perfect vacation to reconnect to your husband and that you enjoyed the cabin so much. Please keep us in mind for your future vacations - as a repeat guest you will receive a 10% discount when you call to book.

“Just awesome”

Reviewed 25 May 2012

If you don't mind the drive up the mountain, and your looking for a private little get away. this is it. What a view. I shopped around for just the right place so I did the home work and this is definatley a place i would return to. 10 minutes from town. All you need is a little firewood for the outdoor fire pit and have 4 wheel drive. totally awesome. Jim & Mary

Response from the manager Thank you, Jim & Mary, for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. The owners let us know today that they would be doing some repair work, so it won't be quite as difficult to get to. Please keep us in mind for future stays -- as a repeat guest, you will receive a 10% discount when you call to book.

“Relaxing stay”

Reviewed 25 May 2012

This cabin met all of needs for our Thanksgiving Stay ... Except ... There was only enough hot water for one person to take a showers within an hour interval.

Response from the manager Thank you, S Nettles, for reviewing Bear Hug Cabin. We're glad that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving stay. It is a smaller cabin, and the hot water heater is not as large as what you may be accustomed to. We would be happy to help you find a house with a larger hot water that can better accomodate a family. Please keep us in mind for future stays, as a repeat guest you will receive a 10% discount when you call to book.

“Cabin perfect for vacationing hobbits”

Reviewed 15 May 2012

We're more or less a couple of hobbits on vacation: we're not looking for ornate Rococco architecture or cabins decorated by the Cracker Barrel team or singing bass fish or (as in one particularly unfortunate cabin) an animatronic moose head on the wall. We want views, comfort, and a hot tub. This place was fantastic for that. The view was perfect, and if you don't know what a perfect appalachian mountain view is, I pity you. The cabin was tiny but serviceable: a little kitchen, a wee bed, a miniature bedroom. But that's okay, that's all we needed. I was able to cook us a great meal in that little kitchen no problem. The hot tub? Okay, it was a pretty small hot tub. But it worked just fine. The only complaint about the cabin was the hot water in the shower--or, rather, the lack thereof. The shower got tepid at best. I hope they fix the heat in the shower. We'll definitely be going back; the place is wonderful.

Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to review Bear Hug Cabin. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. Bear Hug Cabin does have a gorgeous view looking straight into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We love how quiet and secluded it is. It is one of our smaller rustic cabins that's just right for two people with a queen size bed, an efficiency kitchen, and a two person hot tub. We will have our maintenance personnel look into the hot water heater immediately. When you book with us again, be sure to call to book to receive the repeat guest discount.
