The cabin was tough to find. But our GPS did help get us there despite the direction not to use a GPS. When we arrived the TV wouldn't work. A tech was on the way when we fixed it in our own. Overall the cabin was fine. It was dusty and needed deep cleaning for sure. And looks like people through trash over the balcony instead of hauling it off. That didn't make for a good view. Everything in the kitchen was good pleanty of cooking utensils. The bathroom was really dark. Bed was pretty comfortable. If it's snowing you def need a 4 wheel drive to get in and out of the drive way. It's horse shoe shapes so there is a hill on both sides. The game room was ok. A little small with too many games packed in. And didn't have all supplie for games. There was also an annoying buzz the time we were there after some exploring the sound was coming from te heating unit and it was so annoying we slept with the television on. We probably wouldn't stay here again but it wasn't terrible either.
“Had a wonderful snow filled stay”
The cabin had everything we needed and all worked well. We got snowed in for 2 days and enjoyed using the game room. The shuffle board table was fun. We can't wait till next year.
“Great Cozy Getaway!”
We had a great stay at the cabin! Everything inside the cabin was awesome! The location was pretty far into the cabin community and I would definitely recommend having an SUV. The one thing I would mention is that the view from the back deck is a little limited. I believe some of the trees behind the property have grown up now so you don't get as good a view as the pictures suggest. They also say they have a grill but it is one of those camp site grills that's pretty small and does not have a cover so plan accordingly. The hot tub was nice and clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. I really enjoyed being able to bring our golden retriever along! She had a great time and ended up chasing some of the wild turkeys roaming around the neighborhood! All in all it was a great trip and perfect getaway.
“remote and hard to find”
The cabin was nice inside albeit a bit dirty, at the end of the road was hard to find even with the poor signage after several days back and forth was a challenge to find at night. Deck was dirty, not the quality I expected for the rate being charged. View not that great
The cabin was very clean , The kitchen was not very well equipped, It is in a very private locatation.
“Great, secluded fun!”
My wife and I spent the weekend. The location of this cabin is perfect. Great upper deck with a view. The furnishing are very complete.
The cabin is almost impossible to find, don't listen to them when they say Gps' don't work because that is the only thing that got us to the cabin. The cabin is fairly small, smaller than I expected. The king bed is extremely uncomfortable and the pullout sofa is pitiful, so bad that ever our 4 year old complained about it hurting his back. The railing for the stairway inside is very loose and very unsafe, as well as the railing on both back decks. The hot tub leaks, stinks, and was dirty so we didn't even get to enjoy it. The inside jacuzzi is nice when it works. I would have been nice if they had put instructions on the Xbox, we tried several times to play my son movies before bed and never could get it to work. The couch and loveseat are extremely worn and peeling everywhere. Also, the driveway is awful, do not dare take a car to this place and try to park right in front of the cabin, you'll never get out of the parking spot. Other than being very convenient and affordable, we were not impressed at all and will not be staying with aPG again.
Response from the manager Jessica, I am sorry you didn't like the cabin '2 Lovin' Bears'. It is a popular cabin and typically gets great reviews. Mountain roads can be challenging but to get great views and be in the mountains, you have to travel the roads to get there. I regret that you weren't happy with the cabin you chose but hope you will give us another opportunity to meet your lodging when you visit our area again.
“25th anniversary Weekend Getaway”
I looked all over online looking for "the cabin" for a weekend getaway for our 25th wedding anniversary with no luck. We contacted aPG late in the season at the suggestion of friends hoping to find something for the exact dates we needed that was also pet friendly. Our anniversary just so happens to fall right smack in the middle of the autumn color peak. Apg found 2 Lovin' Bears available and had me look online while talking to them. It looked to be exactly what we were looking for!! We were not familiar with the area and arrived late in the evening and the directions aPG provided led us right to this little gem. Inside we explored all that this cabin had to offer and was impressed with the cleanliness, decoration, layout and charm. The view from the upper deck provided us with a preview of the autumn color of the mountains. The location was great - being midpoint between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Cabin has a washer/dryer, offset bedroom (layout made it look like open space but it was closed), gas fireplace, gameroom in the loft, jacuzzi bathtub in the bedroom, and a hottub on the lower outside deck. We fumbled a little with the key system, but after figuring it out, we were pros. This was a great find and just the right amount of charm to make our anniversary special. We so liked aPG and this find, that we recommended to our extended family to all rent a larger cabin next year as a family retreat! Thanks for making our anniversary special.
“we had a wonderful time.”
Two Lovin' Bears is very clean and well equiped for a wonderful stay. The game room is loaded for fun.The Hot Tub is terrific. This cabin has a good view of the mountains. Best of all was the wildlife. We saw many Wild Turkeys in the back yard, a racoon (tried to steal a steak from the grill) and a Black Bear paid a visit to our porch. we recommend this cabin to all.
“A wounderful experience!”
Well I would recomend this cabin, A little out of the way, But it was worth it. Had a wounderful time, And the cabin was nice and clean. Enjoyed every bit of it.
