“Beautiful, Spacious apartment in Central Location”

Reviewed 8 May 2014

Apartment was superb. It had loads of space was bright and airy and very well furnished with all the necessary 'mod cons'

“Just the best possible experience !”

Reviewed 3 Oct 2013

The apartment was fantastic ! Very spacious and well equipped in a wonderful location with a fabulous canal view right from the dining room window. Actually the view from our bedroom was a beautiful garden so we had great vistas from three rooms. The kitchen was well equipped with all utensils and appliances and the washing machine small but adequate for us. The lounging area in the center of the apartment was comfortable for napping and doing our internet browsing (the connection was weak in some of the other rooms, probably due to the thickness of the walls, but then again, that made for little noise heard from other rooms. We were so glad we picked this apartment since the location was much quieter than other parts of town and there were several good restaurants just a few steps away, on our street, right beside "our" canal...Great !!! The only thing to be aware of for this place was ther number of steps to climb to enter the apartment...but that also helped us justify our many wonderful meals in Venice !!!

“So Very Happy”

Reviewed 4 Apr 2013

We were six: two grandparents, two middle-aged parents, a 13-year-old and a ten-year-old. I don't know how to express how pleased we all were! So much space! Such charming views! I hung out the window every day to watch activity on the canals. I just reread the description of the apartment. It's entirely accurate.I would just add that each of the three bedrooms has a bath and each bed/bathroom suite has doors that seal off the rest of the apartment. Great privacy. Also a good kitchen setup with good cooking equipment. Comfortable beds with nice soft, smooth sheets. We bought seven day vaporetto passes and rode in the open stern area. We took a lesson with RowVenice.com and spent an hour learning how to row a gondola. (After that we looked closely at how the gondoliers handled their oars.) We ate nearby at Vini di Gigio. We walked over to Fondamente Nove and ate at Restaurant alvise. There we met a friendly French couple who told us to try the hot chocolate at Rosa Salva (delicious with great gobs of whipped cream.) I had great pumpkin ravioli at the Peggy Guggenheim. Our granddaughter kept a journal recording the gelati flavors she had sampled. We ate at home: food from the local supermarket and nearby bakeries and pastry shops. Some of us stayed home more than others. That was very comfortable. One of us bought a chorus pass and visited 16 churches in 7 days! We attended free concerts at two different churches. We admired the Rialto Market. I bought a nice necklace at Genninger Studio in Dorsoduro. Two bridges away was the Church of the Madonna de l'Orto. So spare and beautiful. The area: calm, quiet and charming. Service: Everything that was necessary had been anticipated for us. We didn't pay proper attention when Enrico explained the washing machine, but he graciously came within 5 minutes when we called for help. Daniela was the soul of efficiency and calm. The whole experience: a wonderful gift to our family.

“Fantastic Venice home away from home”

A wonderful place for a Christmas holiday. Comfortable, convenient and great service. A beautiful, relaxing home away from home.

“Wonderful Venice”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2013

We were very happy with the service we received from Truly Venice and would reccomend them. The location of the property was superb and the interior was just as described. Unfortunately the television in the sitting room was not working, which we were told about when we arrived, we later found that the music system was also out of order which was disappointing. The apartment was very well equiped, but as a party of 7 we would have liked an additional front door key. There were several restaurants immediately outside of the property, we ate at most of them and found a good variety of food and prices. We hope to return to Venice in the future and will certainly consider using Truly Venice again.

“Fine Neighborhood Location”

Reviewed 14 Feb 2013

Our extended family of 8 (6 adults from 35 to 70 and 2 children 6 and 8) rented Gradenigo for a week in the early fall. The apt. was comfortable, well-furnished and clean. While the "greeter" was no better than average, the written information in the apt. quite complete. For us, the best attribute was the location--a genuine neighborhood, away from the crush of tourists but convenient to many ristoranti and to the supermarket. The major drawbacks are the 60 stairs (definitely not for anyone with moblity problems) and the relatively tricky, ancient locks on the door to the street.

“Ideal accomodation for Friends and family”

Reviewed 13 Feb 2013

From the moment we were met on arrival in Venice to the date of departure one week later we never had a problem with the accomodation. The rooms, on two floors, were big enough for 5 people to spread out without being on top of each other. The rooms were clean, the showers hot and the shops within walking distance. There are also bars and restaurants with easy reach of the front door. The holiday was a pleasure with every turn a picture to take. Couldn't recoment this aparment enough.

“A great apartment and an even better location”

Reviewed 17 Jul 2012

Everything about our stay with Truly Venice was excellent. From the advice we received before our holiday to every detail in the transport and the apartment we couldn't have asked for better. The location of the apartment in a truly Venetian part of the city meant it was a pleasure to come home each night and feel part of the local community rather than just being another tourist.

“Canneregio is a magical, quiet quarter of Venice”

Reviewed 28 Jun 2012

Spacious apartment in a quiet but fascinating quarter of Venice, convenient to all the main sites. Splendid restuarants close at hand. Well appointed. Not suitable for disabled or for very young children as there are lots of stairs to climb. Company service on the button

“A truly Venetian experience!”

Reviewed 24 May 2012

My family loved the Gradenigo apartment - very spacious for 5 people with fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Wonderful location in Cannaregio which is about 10 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco. Lots of authentic and affordable osterias nearby and a fantastic supermarket. Truly Venice is professional, friendly and knowledgable- we had the most memorable holiday and would always book our accommodation through Daniela of Truly Venice. Ludevigo met us at the vaporetto and was charming and helpful. Apartment was immaculate and we felt right at home. Cannot recommend enough.
