90 minutes from KEF international airport; 45 min to Reykjavik and 5 - 20 min. to famous major attractions. 12 min. from Selfoss for shopping,restaurants etc.

This luxury cedar wood log cabin is found nestling in the midst of spectacular unspoilt Icelandic countryside. An ideal location with breathtaking views of Icelandic nature at its best, overlooking river, hills and mountains. A perfect setting to have a wonderful time with family and friends, with everything needed for relaxation, while providing the perfect base for an adventurous holiday of a lifetime. An beautiful cabin perfectly located to enable you to explore all that the South of Iceland has to offer.

The cabin is spacious and extremely comfortable. It has a fully equipped kitchen with all modern conveniences, an open plan living / dining room with spectacular views from every window overlooks Icelandic countryside. The cabin is heated by underfloor heating system using geothermal energy enhancing the cosy feel all year round. The two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs are spacious and bright, and further sleeping accommodation is found upstairs in the loft. A beautiful and separate guest house with WC is located on the property with further private sleeping accommodation. An enormous veranda encircles the cabin providing ample space for outdoor dining and entertaining, including time spent in the Jacuzzi.

The cabin is situated on the Golden Circle, an area renowned for its glaciers, hot springs and waterfalls. It is extremely convenient to explore and enjoy the National Park Thingvellir with its wonderful walking and hiking paths not to mention diving and fishing. Close by (20 min.) is Nesjavellir area Burfell, Kerid cratar, Geysir, Gullfoss, Vestmanna Islands and Laugarvatn featuring its famous natural steam bath and FONTANA spa. It is only a forty minute drive from Reykjavik, and just 15 minutes from Selfoss, the main service town in the South of Iceland, which includes fine restaurants and golf courses.

Collection and return of keys and linien/towels is normally at: Hotel Northern Light Inn beside the Blue Lagoon. To avail of flexible pick up/return of linien guest need to let the owner know about the need, due to different travel plans (i.e. not going from the cabin, straight to the airport).

Final cleaning is not included, guests are expected to do the final cleaning. If guests are unable to complete the final clean, or wish to pay for the service, please contact the owner for cost of cleaning service.

Internet use is free: 4G and 3G Wi-Fi (excessive use may cost extra)

There is normally a self check in. Guests pick up/return the keys/linien from Hotel Northern Light Inn beside the Blue Lagoon, which is few hundreds meters from the mainroad to the cabin via Grindvik town. If guests need different service they need to ask and check with owner how to organize that.

It is the Icelandic custom to take off your outdoor shoes when entering a house. Please keep this tradition in the cabin.

The cloths in kitchen (to dry and for around the sink) and for the floor, or anything else that was not picked up from the hotel, is to be washed in the washing before leaving --> use the shortest cycle 32 min (top left)
