“Amazing trip for this family of 5!!!”

Reviewed 17 May 2015

This was our first trip to Costa Rica & we found Storm & Amy's home the perfect place to call home base. The house was beautiful and clean, with breathtaking views! The pool was a huge hit w/ our 3 kids. Storm helped us to book some excursions which made for some wonderful memories. Hope to be back!!!

“A Little Piece of Heaven on Earth!!”

We could not have been more happy with this Villa! The views were spectacular and we felt very much at home! The private pool was absolutely awesome and we spent many afternoons just relaxing! Storm and Amy were exceptional hosts' and we were welcomed with a lovely basket of wine, coffee and fruit, a very nice touch! Amy personally greeted us shortly after our arrival and was available if we needed anything. Amy and Storm arranged all of our excursions and they were fabulous! I highly recommend all of the excursions and restaurants they suggest. They left a very detailed and helpful list of things to do, places to go and directions to local grocery stores, etc! I would HGHLY recommend this Villa and Storm and Amy to my nearest and dearest and we hope to be back next year! PURA VIDA!!!

“Terrific!”

House is great and under-represented in listing. Community is very safe, clean and proximity is excellent. The view is really quite spectacular. Will definitely return and highly recommend!

“Wonderful place”

Reviewed 21 Dec 2014

My wife and I had a blast staying here for a week. Storm and Amy were very welcoming and went out of there way to make sure we had a good time and even set up day trips and adventures for us. The location is perfect as it is close to both Dominical and Uvita and walking distance to the beach at Dominicalito. The property itself is very nice and well-kept with an amazing view that pictures really don't do justice. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area and would go back in a heart beat. We didn't have a single bad experience staying here!

“Costa Rica at its best - remarkable location, house & hosts”

Amy & Storm (and kids) Thank you so much for making our visit everything we could have hoped for and so much more The kids learned to surf, saw a gazillion animals and, most importantly, learned to appreciate the Pura Vida way of life. Your home, assistance, guidance and friendship were invaluable in making it happen. Having travelled all over the world, this will always rank as a special trip for our family for more reasons than I can name here. If there is anything we can do to return the favor, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for everything. Pura Vida! Dave & Heather Mosrie

“Awesome villa, great location”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2014

I can't say enough positive things about Storm & Amy's villa. It is exactly as advertised, kitchen is well-stocked, including decent bath & beach towels (none of those tiny, scratchy white ones here!). The views are amazing, I could have sat out on the deck all day but there were too many fun things to do in the area. We saw toucans, monkeys, lizards and tons of other birds right from the deck. We also hiked farther up the road into the rainforest early in the morning and saw lots of poison dart frogs. Having a private pool was fantastic - our kids could swim as much as they liked while we were making meals or whatever, instead of a community pool where we'd have to chaperone them. Amy & Storm left us with several suggestions on beaches / restaurants, as well as recommendations for activities. Highly recommend Sunset Surf for surf lessons & the Nauyaca Falls horseback trip. I would stick with the beaches they recommend, they were all great. One day we went to the Marino Ballena National Park beach (which was not on their list). Although the beach was visually awesome, the vibe there was a little unpleasant - police patrolling the beach and some locals eyeing our stuff a little too closely. There are too many other nice beaches that are free with a more relaxed vibe. Playa Ventanas was awesome, be prepared to pay a German guy who lives there about $5 to park, but it's worth it. The villa has 3 AC units, one in each bedroom and one on the main level, so we found that we only needed to run the bedroom ACs at night, the rest of the time, we could just open the doors & windows. The location is fantastic, walking distance to Dominicalito beach and a waterfall with a swimming hole, and just a short drive to other beaches & restaurants. We ate at several of the restaurants Amy & Storm recommended, including their own Jolly Roger (great, friendly staff & awesome views!), Tortilla Flats, PorQueNo, La Parcela and Sabor Espanol to name a few. It is the tropics and sometimes things don't work as consistently as in the US (water, power, WIFI, etc), but the few minor occurrences didn't impact our trip. I've lived and worked in a lot of tourist destinations and I can honestly say the local population in this part of CR is friendlier and more laid back than anywhere else I've traveled. They truly are living the Pura Vida!

“Relaxing, private family vacation”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2014

We stayed for a month with our two young children (aged 3 years and 9 months). The house was perfect (exactly as it had been described); it was very clean and the convenience of having our own pool was a wonderful added bonus. The views of ocean were spectacular and the beach was only a very short walk away. Storm and Amy were always available to answer our questions and give us tips on places to visit. We were looking for a place to get completely away from everything and enjoy our family and this location was absolutely perfect (and so was the weather!). If we get the opportunity, we will definitely be back!

“An amazing place to stay”

Cannot say enough great things about this place. The view is breathtaking. The pool is luxurious and the location can't be beat. The villa is so comfortable and relaxing a great place to return after a day of discovering Domenical or just a great place to hang and stare at the beautiful view. Storm and Amy are excellent hosts and provided some great info on places to go and what to do/try. I miss the place every day since my wife and I left and I'd recommend this place to my closest friends and have. This place exceeded our expectations.

“Epic!”

My girlfriend and I rented this villa and now we want to move there! The views from the living room are stunning and addictive. Surfing down the street at Dominicalito proved the perfect spot, as my lady was just learning. Water 87-88 degrees! At low tide, we rented a kayak and cruised the bay--another incredible adventure. You can walk to a waterfall, with rope-swing, just minutes out the front door. The kitchen easily accommodated our breakfast and dinners, bathrooms were spa-like, didn't even use the Xtra bedroom--we were definitely spoiled there, but would and will do it again. Thanks to the owner's, who did a wonderful job with directions and suggesting local hot spots! Pura Vida! ~Blake P

“Best trip ever!!!”

The villa had breath taking views. Everything you could need was there. Great restaurants in the area and the beaches where spectacular. We did check out Storm and amy's wing restaurant and I'm not a wing person, I ate a whole plate myself. They where incredible. We will be going back in the future.Thank you so much for an unforgettable vacation.
