We were able to relax and regroup with the serene beauty of the unit and it's surroundings. Wish the weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the outdoors more.
Response from the owner Inside or outside, our homes provide a unique opportunity to relax and unwind. With our nearby museums, sports center and great shops, there is always something to do even when the weather is less than perfect!
I really must say that you have a wonderful house! The cabin blew everyone in my group away (as nice as the pictures are that you have posted, they simply do not do the property justice). I also think that it was a stroke of genius not to say anything about the elevator. Playing that fact so close to the vest made the cabin all the more impressive to us when we arrived. I am sure that I will try to rent the cabin for another weekend next year as the cabin/dealing with you has been a wonderful experience that I do not think can be topped. Thanks again for renting us the cabin!
Response from the owner Based on customer reviews, our lodge has a lot of "wow" factor...which often is a nice surprise for our guests. From the unique furnishings to the myriad construction and decorating details, there are lots of unusual and special touches to be discovered. “Beautiful Home and Outstanding Service”
If you are looking for the best place to stay in the Cooperstown area, this is it! The first thing you notice when you arrive is how beautifully landscaped the property is. Once inside, everyone in my party commented on the beauty of the wood and the warmth of the surroundings. The home is nicely decorated and the kitchen has top of the line appliances. It sits right on the lake and the views from both inside and from the outside decks were amazing. The owner/builder obviously has an eye for detail because everywhere you look there are handmade pieces, like the bathroom pedestal sinks and various tables. We visited in October and the pool was heated and it was warm enough to swim! If you stay at this property, you can use the Boathouse that sits right on the water. It is like a clubhouse and it's near the pool too. The wallpaper inside the boathouse is made of real birch bark - it was awesome. Some of our party used the kayaks available with the rental. The owner, Bill was helpful with all sorts of recommendations. There was a lot to do in Cooperstown besides the obvious baseball attractions. We visited the art Museum and a new Vodka Distillery and went for a hike at Glimmerglass State Park. Plenty of restaurants too. We will definitely be back next year to spend more time in this beautiful well maintained home and this charming town!
Response from the owner When we set out to develop ArrowHead Pointe on Otsego Lake, our end goal was a luxurious, lakeside enclave of homes as far from typical as possible. The siting of the homes on the property to maximize privacy and view sets, the architectural details (inside and out), landscaping, lake front amenities are just a few key areas where careful planning and construction have contributed to the creation of a one-of a kind "Lake-Country" environment. Check out the CooperstownLuxury site today and make your plans to visit Cooperstown and experience first-hand this special lake front retreat! 908-304-4666 Bill
“Magical lodge home in Cooperstown, New York”
My husband and I stayed in arrowwood's Cayuga Lodge with our best friends last week. Everything was perfect in every way, from the great craftsmanship throughout the home, to all-new appliances, Wi-Fi, Cable TV, and fireplaces everywhere. And what a gorgeous view to the lake. Owner Bill Miller knows everything about how to maintain this perfect property. He should, since he designed and built it. And, he couldn't be nicer to work with and know.
Response from the owner One aspect of owning and managing our vacation retreats that we really love is the opportunity to meet great people and forge new friendships. Our goal is for our guests to have the best time possible while visiting Cooperstown and staying in one of our lodges. Often this includes getting to know our guests to be able to offer recommendations based on our knowledge of the local area. Over the years we had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful families and consider it an honor to be in a position to assist them with their vacation planning.
Beautiful home for a family vacation. Pool and boathouse were very convienent and fun for the kids and adults alike. The hill was a little steep but Bill was very helpful and thoughtful in allowing us to drive my 89 yr old grandma down to the pool so she could watch her great grandchildren swim and see the beautiful boathose that everyone was talking about! The hardest part was keeping our visitors to a minimum because everyone wanted to come look at the house once they heard how beautiful it was.
Response from the owner Otsego Lake is one of the cleanest and deepest lakes in the northeastern part of the US. It is a glacially formed lake and is surrounded by thickly forested hills/mountains. It is this mountain lake setting that so beautifully sets the area apart. The Boathouse is set right at the edge of the water...actually overhanging the lake. The property slopes upward to the lodges and in addition to the thick slab steps we also provide an easily navigable driveway to enable everyone to have access to the pool, the lake front and The Boathouse. The fishing is superb, the water is unbelievably clear, and boat traffic is almost non-existent! Come dip your toes in Otsego Lake or choose our heated lakeside pool!
“Beautiful luxury lakefront home”
Seven of us stayed a week in this luxury home while my oldest son attended a baseball tournament nearby. The property was very clean and the amenities in great shape. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed kayaking across and around it. The kids loved the heated pool which was regularly cleaned. We went fishing from the boardwalk around the boathouse. The owner also provided useful information leading up to our stay. We only needed to bring our clothes and food. Plenty of towels and a washer and dryer means we'll pack lighter next time. An elevator makes it possible to have an elderly person. It is hard to do justice to the quality construction of the home with the large logs and wide plank floors. A remarkable and beautiful place to stay. The unit we rented had three bedrooms and three baths. It could sleep three couples easily. We brought an air mattress for my youngest to use in the upstairs seating area. There was plenty of room in the house. We used the remote controlled fireplace one evening and it made the living room toasty. There were four other fireplaces (one wood and three other gas). The kitchen was also high end (Wolf gas stove and Sub Zero freezer). A counter with second sink accommodated multiple cooks. Looked like a lot of nice restaurants nearby (Blue Mingo), but we like to cook and ate in every night but one. We went to Schneider's Bakery in Cooperstown several times for breakfast to have the excellent cinnamon rolls. I look forward to staying here again and recommend highly.
Response from the owner We love when guests are pleasantly surprised upon arrival! Our lake front homes are unlike any others in the area. They were designed by a leading architectural firm with a flair toward the unusual such as the 42 foot tall trees. Handcrafted in British Columbia from massive Douglas fir and cedar trees, trucked to Cooperstown and painstakingly finished, incorporating numerous artistic touches and finishes; each home has a unique ambiance created through various collections of handmade furniture, folk art and decorations. Its not unusual to hear guests say they changed their itinerary upon arrival to allow for more time to enjoy the homes and the properties!
“Beautiful and Breathtaking!”
This log house is a real gem in this area! Gorgeous settings both inside and out, close enough to town (Cooperstown) but far enough away to enjoy the countryside. Spacious and comfortable. Bill (the owner) is evry friendly and easy to work with. We highly recommend staying here for all!
Response from the owner Cayuga Lodge South is located on the west side of Lake Otsego. The beautiful drive into Cooperstown is about 7 miles along the edge of the lake. Guests can easily and quickly access the conveniences of town, yet enjoy the lake-country ambiance while at the home. Our lake has very little boat traffic, and at the north end where our home is located there is even less! Its not unusual, even during the height of the "busy" summer season, to see just one or two boats out on the water...often leaving the lake perfectly calm and flat for kayaking or canoeing!!
“Great week of baseball!!”
My family really enjoyed the week. We have been to the area before and I cannot think of a better place to stay when visiting Cooperstown!!
Response from the owner Our lake front homes provide families and groups with a vacation experience that is hard to find in the Cooperstown area. The heated lake beside the lake, The Boathouse (clubhouse), lush grounds and handcrafted lodges all combine to evoke the sense of staying at a family compound. Quiet, luxurious and conveniently located less than 7 miles from town.
“Unbelievable vacation house!”
The pictures don't do this house justice - you have to see it to believe it! We found ourselves rushing home from Dreams Park so we could enjoy the house, the pool, the boathouse, the lake, and the beautiful views. The owner, Bill, was great and Ken, the handyman, was incredibly helpful with anything we needed. We can't wait to go back!
Response from the owner Summer vacations at the lake (especially a lake as clean and uncrowded as Otsego) can be very special for families. Our retreats, with their unique designs, views and access to the water provide the perfect backdrop for all types of fun activities, relaxation, adventure and cultural excursions. These same lodges offer a different experience when the snow flies and the lake freezes. Skiing, skating, tubing, hot chocolate and a great book in front of a warm fire combine to relax, rejuvenate and inspire. Whatever season, whatever the reason...plan your exceptional Cooperstown vacation today!
Thanks Bill! We had such a great time at your home on the lake...It really was neat to see the kids run down to fish at the lake and leave the electronics behind! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cooperstown. I will be certain to recommend your home for future friends heading out that way...We all hope to make another trip out there-the kids are already asking when we are going back! Thanks again!!
Response from the owner I can vividly recall spending many incredible days on the lake as a kid myself! Somehow, it didn't matter what the activity was...fishing with a simple fishing pole and a worm, exploring the marine life hiding beneath the rocks such as crayfish, or even just skipping stones...as long as I was in or near the lake I was a happy "camper"!!
