“We will return!”

Reviewed 22 Mar 2014

This cabin offered everything and more!! I felt as if someone had just opened their home to us. The view was so amazing, especially at night on the patio or hot tub. We did see some deer graze past the property. Steve the manager came by to check on us the first day and then we were left to our privacy. Only a few cons, we had was that the mattress in the master bedroom might have been as old as the cabin itself, lol. For just two of us we used the full bed in the second room. We made this cabin our home for 3 days and would love to stay again. We recommend every visitor read the welcome binder, it has a map of downtown Estes Park, Elk Horn ave, and a list of all the restaurants that deliver if you want to be lazy. We also had no way to purchase fire wood for the fireplace or the fire pit. I called one place and they were very rude. We still enjoyed our stay just fine, we will bring our own fire wood next time. Thank you Phil and Janine LaFrankcis for allowing us to stay! Amy Ward, Wellington, ks

Response from the owner We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience at Far View Cabin! The Patio and the awesome view really have a way of recharging your "battery". We are so happy to hear that the cabin was more than you had hoped for. As far as the master bedroom mattress, it is a Sleep Number Bed (just purchased last year) Sometimes guests will deflate their comfort setting making it look sagging, or old, trust me, it's very Cozy! We are so glad you were able to call Far View Cabin "Home", and Please, come again when you have more time to enjoy the beauty of Estes Park. Owners- Phil & Janine

“Great Cabin, Great Location”

Reviewed 30 Dec 2013

Spent a week in this little cabin and it was a blast. The single bathroom is actually quite large and the beds were all very comfortable. The cabin and property were tidy and very well situated. We were able to walk into town on multiple occasions and were within easy walking distance of many restaurants as well. Absolutely loved the hot tub! Will definitely keep this place in mind on subsequent visits to Estes Park.

Response from the owner Thank You so much for taking the time to share your Christmas Cabin experience in beautiful Estes Park!! We are always so proud of Far View Cabin and it makes us so happy to hear the wonderful experiences that our guests share. We hope you have it in your future to come again. We'll keep the Hot Tub nice and toasty warm for you!!!

“Springtime in Estes”

Reviewed 23 May 2013

My wife and I stayed at this cabin from May 9-12 2013. While it is not a brand spanking new high tech type of place, it is very cozy and has absolutely everything you will need to have a great vacation. The outside patio/deck area is perfect. It has a charcoal/propane grill, a firepit, and a hot tub with a great view of the stars and the mountains. It is also close walk to town if you take the shortcut, but the climb back up the hill can take your breath away if you are not used to the thinner air. The owners take wonderful care of the place and are always just a call or text away if you need anything. If you are after glitz and glamour, this isn't the place for you. But if you are after cozy, romantic, relaxful fun then you can't go wrong although a King bed (has Queen) would have been a tad better as Im kinda tall. We will definately be back in the next year or two!!

Response from the owner Thank You so much for taking the time to share your experience with others. We are delighted that Far View cabin was everything you had hoped for, and appreciate that you notice the pride in the care we take of this charming Cabin. We definitely look forward to having you back!

“Great Girls Weekend!”

Reviewed 20 May 2013

Loved the cabin! It is certainly "old school", but yet, has everything you would need. Nice walk to town and very close to the entrance to Rmnp. Lots of elk in the area and a nice view from the porch and living room of the mountains. Thanks to Phil for all the info he provided, from fun things to do, to places to eat. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Response from the owner Thanks so much! We Love the cabin too, and enjoy hearing from our guests about how they enjoyed their stay. Please come again real soon!

“Great get-away!”

Reviewed 15 Feb 2013

I rented this cabin for my parents who love to come to this area for hiking in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter. They called me after being there for ten minutes just to let me know how clean and cozy the cabin was. It had everything they would need for the long weekend ahead. The kitchen fully stocked, the hot tub outside, the amazing bed in the master bedroom. They said that they will definitely rent here again. Even the location was great! No neighbors right next to you, so they felt really secluded, but yet so close to town. Phil is the owner, and from the begining he was very attentive and concerned that I was getting the best service. What a great guy! The only two set backs were the very late check-in time, 4:00pm. This was a bit of a suprise, since you are paying for that day, and by 4:00 your day is pretty much finished. Also, my parents were given the wrong codes to get into the house by the management company. They had to get a hold of Phil to get in. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect! Thanks Phil and Janine for sharing this beautiful cabin with the rest of us! After my parent's high recomendations, my husband and I are going to plan a trip there!

Response from the owner It sounds like your parents had a great time at Far View Cabin! It is such a great time of the year to spend time in Estes Park. We are so delightet that your gift for your parents worked out so well and that they were so pleased. Please let me know when you decide to come out. We'll keep the hot tub just right for you!

“The perfect getaway”

Reviewed 5 Feb 2013

We had a fantastic time staying at the cabin and are planing another trip soon, Everything was just as expected and then some. It is close to Estas but seems like your miles away.

Response from the owner THANK YOU so much for the nice review, and don't forget that we have bicycles, fishing poles and golf clubs available at the cabin when you decide to re-book in the spring/summer!! We look forward to seeing you back!

“Great place”

Reviewed 7 Dec 2012

The wife and I wanted a place to go to get away from business and recharge. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. The hot tube and fire place were icing on the cake. We really enjoyed the way the cabin was kept in the old original state but still enough modern to make it completely comfortable. The activities and restaurants as well as the closeness to Rmnp made the stay complete. We would stay there again if we come back.

Response from the owner Thanks so much! It's always so exciting for us to hear our reviews from so many guests that enjoy Estes Park, and our unique, rustic mountain cabin. We are so delighted that we are able to provide a genuine Estes Park Cabin to so many people who appreciate all of the details that we have put in.We hope you come back real soon!

“Cozy cabin for our honeymoon in the mountains!”

Reviewed 10 Nov 2012

We loved every minute of staying in this cabin! My husband and I stayed in this cabin for our honeymoon November 5th though 8th. I wish we could have stayed longer and really really hope to get to come back! I Loved Estes Park and the area! It was so incredibly beautiful there, I had to force myself to come home to alabama ( I really didn't want to). The entire experience of the rockies is something we will never forget. This cabin was the cherry on top. The little details is was resonated with me: The smell of apples, fire wood, and coffee. The view of the mountains and watching the birds at sunset. The toasty little heater. The cute little iron owl (my favorite bird) on the vintage style stove. Reading the old postcards at breakfast. Soaking in the hot tub with all the lights out gazing at the bright stars ( we don't have stars like that in aL). Hearing the hawks in the morning. Laying by the fireplace smelling the Pinon,Cedar, Oak, and Pine. Life is in the details and this cabin is filled with them. I have not a single bad thing to say about this amazing slice of heaven. I might be bias because I might be one of the most sickeningly happy people right now but I still Thank Phil and Janine for a piece of that joy. :) -Jessica Kays

Response from the owner THANK YOU to our Honeymooners from Alabama!! We are so delighted that you were able to celebrate your wedding by coming to Estes Park and Far View Cabin!!! We are so excited to read about your happiness and great experience in Estes Park. My Wife and I wish you all of the Joy in the World in your new Marriage and are so appreciative that you chose to add one more peice of Honeymoon history to our little Cozy Cabin. We hope to see you on your upcoming anniversaries when you can stay longer. Thank you again and,Congratulations!!

“Cozy Cabin”

Reviewed 4 Nov 2012

My husband and I rented this cabin for a getaway on our 25th wedding anniversary. All the comforts of home, without the hassles. The first morning we woke up to deer grazing in the front yard. The hot tub was an extra special bonus!!! Within walking distance to downtown, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Very quiet street. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Estes Park.

Response from the owner Thank you for the warm review on our cozy Cabin! We are so happy that you chose Far View Cabin for your 25th Anniversary! Please come again when you can spend more time in Estes Park.

“Amazing cabin!!”

Reviewed 10 Oct 2012

Amazing cabin in Estes Park! You will not be disappointed in a stay at this cabin! Perfect for couples or families. The kitchen was stocked very nicely with everything needed to cook from spices/condiments to pots/pans/dishes. The Keurig coffeemaker with coffee provided was so nice each morning. There is a grill on the deck, a fire pit and a hot tub. Nothing better than a soak in the hot tub when the night is a brisk 35 degrees! We Floridians absolutely loved it!! Though we spent the majority of our time in the Rocky Mountain National Park (Rmnp) or in the hot tub - the cabin has a nice selection of dvd's, satellite TV, internet access, even a Wii! The cabin is just a short walk or drive to town with ample choices for dining and shopping. The owner emailed us information about the history of the cabin and recommendations for restaurants to try in Estes Park. Rmnp was just a few miles up the road and we were not disappointed with the sites and wildlife- elk, moose, sheep, deer, wild turkey! A coyote family crossed the cabin driveway one evening and the next morning we were treated to a light dusting of snow! I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was- the owner was so helpful, web site accurately portrays the cabin and booking was easy!

Response from the owner We are so thrilled that you Floridians had such a magical time in our "Winter-like" Estes Park weather! The Cabin's hot tub is a perfect place to come back to after a long hike on some majestic mountain trails. We are glad that your first trip to Estes was so perfect, and thank you so much for sharing your great experience!
