- Very Good
The cozy cabin was a great weekend getaway for us. It was our first time in Flagstaff and because of this cabin we will definitely return.
Response from the owner We're so glad you enjoyed your stay!! Thank you for the nice review.
This place is great!!! The cabin is bigger than it looks in the pictures. As soon as we arrived we felt like we were home, very comfortable. There is a chain link fence around the whole property which worked otr great for letting our kids run around outside (boundaries of where they could and could not go were obvious). We spend most of our time in Flagstaff, which was a very quick drive to and from. There is a gas station near by for quick necessities. Next time I hope we can stay longer and I can explore some of the trails that are near the cabin. This place is great for all ages, even those with mobility issues could go through the sliding glass door in front, it only has two steps. Our only complaint, it was too clean; my wife walked straight into the sliding glass door on the back deck. Full face print, classic. (she's going to kill me when she reads this)
“Perfect Name Perfect Place”
One of the joys of living in Arizona is that we can drive 2.5 hours north and be in different terrain and weather! This was such a wonderful escape from the heat. The cabin was very comfortable, clean and pleasant. My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensley, we did not want to leave.
“Relaxing get away that offers a quiet retreat with nearby attrac”
We live in arizona and wanted to get out of the heat for a while during the summer without having to travel far. This was the perfect get away. It was cool and peaceful and the accommodations were very comfortable and pleasant. The owners were very thoughtful in making this cabin a retreat yet supplying many of the amenities of home. Directions & instructions were clear and precise. The location is convenient so you can see nearby attractions and eat out if you don't want to stay in. I would give this cabin a 5 star rating except for the permanent food "fragrance" of cooking oil & such. Otherwise it is clean. I would recommend this place to friends.
Response from the owner In the summer months, we have guests checking out and others checking in on the same day, sometimes just a few hours apart. Our cleaning crew is extemely thorough, yet occasionally the previous guests have cooked breakfast just prior to check-out. In response to this review, our kitchen has been cleaned top to bottom to assure any lingering odors have been removed. Please note, we do not use any harsh cleaning chemicals and attempt to keep the cabin as "green" as possible. We also keep windows and doors open during cleaning to allow fresh air to wash through.
“Very Cozy Cabin, Great Stay”
We stayed at the Cozy Cabin in Flagstaff from april 26 - May 4, 2013. Maureen's directions were great and it was easy to find. The keys were conveniently placed in a lock box, and we were quickly in the cabin. It was exactly as described, and it didn't take us long to settle in. We loved the fact that we could have breakfast in the comfort of our own place and unlike a hotel, had breakfast and coffee in our pjs! Flagstaff is so close that shopping was easy and we went into town every day, or did our shopping on the way back from our day trips. A gas station is conveniently located at the turn off the highway to get to the cabin. The location was very central. We visited Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Meteor Crater, Walnut Canyon and other great attractions all within a 1 1/2 hour drive of the cabin. The scenic route to go to Sedona (89a) was just a few minutes drive to get to, and so worthwhile, we traveled it twice! Apparently, we happened to visit arizona during a warm spell, (97 F when we landed in Phoenix!)and as Northern Ontarians, were glad to get to the cabin where it was definitely cooler! But it was never so cold that we needed to use the firewood. The altitude (7000 feet) did play a bit of havoc with my breathing if I tried to exert myself at all though, so be warned that things you normally do might be a little more difficult to do. All in all the cozy cabin was a great place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to all.
“Home away from home, relaxing, serene and clean”
We have had the privilege of staying in this cabin during every season. Peace and comfort are what we aim for and this cabin is equipped to deliver both. It truly has a feeling of a home with comfortable beds and a welcoming living area and easy kitchen to use. We've never lacked for anything while staying here. The two porches offer tranquil, beautiful scenery and there are great hiking trails. We look forward to many more memories here!
