Best vacation ever! We had 7 adults and two kids(ages4&2). The house was wonderful. What you see in the pictures is what you get. I can't say enough good things about this trip. The Garden of the Groves was beautiful . The food at Pier 1 was really good and we enjoyed seeing the sharks there. Went on a fishing/snorkeling/beach day trip with Exotic Adventures. One day some went scuba diving, some swam with the dolphins and others stayed at the house and enjoyed the beautiful beach right out the back door of the house. The last day we went on a glass bottom boat tour of the reef, then to Port Lucaya to shop and eat. All I can say is no one can go wrong with this rental!

“Fantastic Rental in a Secluded Spot”

This was a dream vacation - beautiful house, white sand beach and complete privacy! We spent Christmas week with our children, their spouses and grandchildren - a total of seven adults & two children. Spacious and well designed, the house (and grounds) promoted relaxation and decompression. The beach, so accessible and beautiful was a big hit, especially with the kids. Our 11-month old grandson took his first steps on the beach. It is remote (which was fine with us!), but we did "wander off the reservation" several times. There are a couple of small bar/restaurants about 5-10 minutes away. We enjoyed Bishop's (and the ubiquitous owner, Bishop). We also had a great dinner at agave, in the Lucayan Marketplace and a community "Fish Fry", near Taino Beach (just don't rely on the extensive menu - it's not that extensive!) All in all, everything that we hoped for - great experience!

This was my statement as we were packing to leave. I wasn't ready to go! So relaxed. So beautiful. I am ready to go back today. I highly recommend this vacation home for your stay in Freeport. They take good care of the house and wonderful care of their guest.

“Just kick back and relax”

Truly a great vacation. From the moment we were greeted by Diane and staff until the morning we left. Diane is on call so that if you experience any problems, she is there to help. The weather was great and the house is much more than the pictures can describe. We had two families. Four addults and five teenagers and never felt as if we needed more room. The beach is gorgeous and even though there are some homes nearby, we wlaked for two miles and never saw a soul. We encourage you to get out and meet the locals. They are great people and anything you can spend to assist with the economy is great. The food at Bishops is the best and the Bahamas have a beer not available in the us. Sands and Sands light. I am not a beer drinker and loved it. Kitchen is fully equipped. We cooked every night because we wanted to and wanted to enjoy the house. Read all of the reviews. Most will have helpful tips and some ideas to make the stay more enjoyable. We brought some of our favorite spices for cooking. Ice is at a gas station 5-10 minutes down the road. The Goodfellows built a beautiful home and we felt privileged to be able to share it. The locals have a very high opinion of the family and are very welcoming to people in the house. Internet works great and with five teenages, it had better. It truly is one of the best vacations I have ever had. Diane, you were right!

“Fabulous Honeymoon Spot”

Great location to get some rest and rejuvenation. Very private and tranquil setting, with long white sandy beach...truly spectacular!

We just returned yesterday and I've never felt so rejuvenated. The secluded setting, private beach, easy access to restaurants, groceries and entertainment creates the perfect setting. The home is located just east (walking distance) of the largest open water tank, built for the set of Pirates Of The Caribbean. I enjoyed hours of exploring and photos here. As the tide goes out it reveals a vast white sand beach to sit back and take-in the sun or walk endlessly. The home is spacious and provides ample room for privacy and entertainment and the lanai on the beach was fun for eating by the water. We'll definitely be making another trip here!

“Dream vacation”

What a perfect setting for a tranquil private vacation. From the minute you enter the front door everything is clean and ready and well equipped. Many rooms open onto the beach in the backyard. We opened all the screens and were able to hear the waves and breeze, perfect sleeping! The beach is very secluded, we did not see anyone for the whole week, the kids ran free on the beach, played games, and enjoyed playing on the sandbars at low tide. While the kids were playing we sat in the new lanaii on the beach and relaxed. The owners were extremely helpful and eager to answer any questions. The spacious home made it possible for all of us to relax comfortably, and the huge dining table allowed all of us to eat together. End the day with the most spectacular sunsets and get up all do it all over again! We will be back!!

Completely relaxing, close enough, yet far enough from the city. The beach is lovely and private. Much cheaper than putting all of us at a hotel and eating out every night and so luxurious.
