“Great family get-away!”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2015

The Stoney Creek cabin was great for a family of four. It's filled with activities and outside was a nice play set, hammock, and fire place. While at the cabin, we split our time between inside and out as there was plenty to do throughout. The location was nice - quick drive to Asheville or Hendersonville and both are great towns to fill your days. Overall - I'd come back in a heart-beat!

“Fantastic Cabin! Amenities Galore! Ideal Location!”

Reviewed 13 Jan 2015

Stoney Creek Cabin was the perfect place for our family vacation! I've never been more comfortable in a vacation rental, and we've stayed in many. The cabin was exactly as described, immaculate, and stocked with absolutely everything you need and then some! Stephanie went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect and even had the cabin beautifully decorated for Christmas. We loved everything about Stoney Creek Cabin, from the massage chair and fireplace to the hot tub and playground. I highly recommend this vacation rental for those traveling with kids. There are toys galore (plus the aforementioned playground) for older kids, plus everything you might need if you're traveling with a baby (crib, stroller, etc.). We had never been to the area, so we didn't really know whether the location would be good. It turned out to be ideal. It's just a short five-minute drive to downtown Hendersonville and also a short drive to I-26, which quickly takes you to Biltmore, Asheville, etc. I know that Asheville is the main draw for many, but we adored Hendersonville's shops and restaurants (be sure to try Never Blue). I highly recommend Stoney Creek Cabin!

“Wonderful Getaway!”

“The Best!” Hi Stephanie, We absolutely loved staying in your Stoney Creek cabin! It was just heaven. You had everything we would need, plates, glasses, mugs, etc... if we wanted to cook on the grill or inside oven. A large kitchen, along with a large washer & dryer so we didn't need to pack as much! It was wonderful to just step outside to go for a short walk in the woods, or lay in the hammock for 2! We thoroughly enjoyed Your diverse DVD's & watched a different movie each night. Everything was spotless & very well maintained. We used the grill, and cooked in a couple of nights, which was nice. But would highly recommend Flat Wood BBQ, the best BBQ I've had, very close to the cabin. Also, Ingles was the grocery store, very close by that we used to get our supplies to have on hand, but only needed to get the drinks & food that we might have if we weren't going out, It was so nice not to pack as much & just do our laundry there. This was the first time we had stayed at a cabin instead of a hotel---> will NEVER stay at one again, at least when We're at one of your cabins! My husband was reluctant at first, but became very comfortable fast! The blue ridge parkway is so close as well as historic downtown Hendersonville, we just love the quaint town. Also a very short drive to Ashville and the Pisgah National Forest which I just love. Also enjoyed the hot tub as well! Thanks again, John & Kim

“Perfect Oasis for Location, privacy, amenties outstanding, owner has not missed a thing!”

First was two weeks in Aug,14 which we added a 3rd wk. Got so lucky that we ended up there for the annual Apple Festival what a fantastic event that town put on. Loved it so much we went back for 10 days for this Thanksgiving. We come from Fl.,to me with our daughter, husband and 2 small grandchildren from another area of NC.We all fell in love with Hendersonville and the house. The location is the best as downtown main street is perfect ,the best I have ever seen, which is 8 minute, ashvielle airport 15 m. there is so much to do in every direction, short distance you have it all.The owner Stephanie Joy ( which I have not met) exceeds the meaning of ownership of many properties, each with offer the same excellence. She is passionate with her life as vacation rental ownership, you the guest is her top priority. Please read all the amenities, as you will not imagine the ambiance she has created. She is so professional and available anytime right away, and if you have any issue has a full time immediate maintance man who is amazing. I have name her " The Hostess With The Mostess" also it is well priced for what you get, this cannot be matched to any other ,so check out all she has to offer. If I owned a vacation rental I'd want to be an follow every I and T as she has. With or without children at any age, this is amazing and so is the area and all it offers. Must mention that the fun I had with her top LG appliances made me enjoy all the more, a beautiful hot tub with total privacy, easy in and out, the fire pit and samores, brought back good memories and my grandson's first. If beds are a concern for back problems we all loved them,no pain to wake up with.Just too much I could go on and on. You will not regret your stay here,so enjoy! Key Largo,Fl

“Cozy and Kid Friendly!”

Reviewed 7 Dec 2014

We had a lovely weekend at Stoney Creek cabin! We were two families with 3 children and were able to hang out comfortably inside the clean and cozy home while the weather turned cold outside. The fireplace kept us toasty, the hot tub was relaxing, and the beds were comfortable, and there are pillows and throws all over. Not to mention, we spent the weekend taking turns in that massage chair! BEST OF ALL- the house is STOCKED with amenities for small children, including a rocking horse, pint-sized seating, blocks, stuffed animals, books, plastic plates/bowls/cups, high chair, booster seats, pack n'play, and a stroller. It is so nice to have all of those things stocked and not have to travel like a gypsy with your toddler! Another nice thing- the toys are stowed out of the way in the laundry area so if you don't have little ones, you won't even notice them. The drive into Asheville was easy, it took us about 25 minutes to downtown. And nearby Hendersonville should not be overlooked- there is some nice shopping and dining in their historic downtown. The owner was very easy to work with, available for communication leading up to and during our stay, and was even courteous enough to ship us an item that we left behind.

“Stoney Creek Cabin in Hendersonville, N.C. has it all!”

My family and I recently visited Hendersonville, N.C., and stayed at the Stoney Creek Cabin, which was a delightful experience! The cabin was very clean, well-maintained, cozy with all the comforts of home and then some! The owner does an outstanding job on making sure your stay is a memorable experience.

“Wonderful Cabin in the Woods”

Reviewed 20 May 2014

Staying in the Stoney Creek Cabin was the ideal blend of quiet and seclusion yet close to the town of Hendersonville with its restaurants and shops. Everything one could possibly need is included in the lovely, perfectly maintained house. We especially liked the glass-enclosed sitting area where we could watch the rain coming down! Also, the beds, linens and towels were of the very highest quality! We look forward to another stay! Melinda and Steve Stein

“Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your cabin!”

We arrived at this cabin after 11 hours of traveling with two small children. It was a welcome site to arrive at a clean, convenient, well equipped cabin. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. The 5 year old loved the toys, games and stuffed animals. We made s'mores in the fire pit, and made a thanksgiving feast in the very well equipped kitchen. My daughter came in from asheville and we made Christmas cookies and lots of great memories. We could not have asked for a better stay.

“Shhh - don't tell anyone how great this house is!”

Reviewed 18 Nov 2013

Surprise! Stephanie really did think of everything. The light switches were labeled, there was an abundance of kitchen towels, the extra linens for the sofa bed and trundle bed were labeled making them easy to find. I've never stayed in a rental property that was this well stocked. It was such a nice surprise; I don't want anyone else to know about it. This house was perfect for 5 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog. We spent time in DuPont Forest and in asheville. The location is great for day trips to these places. It was also an easy drive to the grocery store to restock the fridge. The back yard is fabulous too. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub and the swing set. We played in the stream that runs through the back yard. There is plenty of room for the dog to run around. We took baby out in the stroller (available at the house) through the neighborhood. The people we met while out walking were very friendly and chatty. Stephanie really did think of everything. And her service is great! She even called while we were there to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed.

“Perfect Getaway”

Reviewed 12 Nov 2013

My family and I had a great time at the Stoney Creek cabin! The location was perfect...we wanted to explore the mountains, Biltmore, and also found a cute brewery in Hendersonville, and the cottage was right between all of those. (I highly recommend checking out Black Balsam Knob & Tennent Mountain, easy/moderate hike, incredible panoramic mountain views). The beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway is not too far, either. We took this to Black Balsam Knob, along with to Mt. Mitchell. It's an absolutely breathtaking drive. Every detail was worked out - from the lights being on and welcoming me when I arrived, to supplying every cooking tool imaginable that I don't even have in my own home, to having a supply of chopped wood for the fire pit. There was plenty of room for all of us. It was relaxing and peaceful the first few nights with just my parents and me. Then it became a full house, but a fun house, when my sister arrived toward the end of our trip with her husband and 3 young girls. The kids got a kick out of the rocking horse and stuffed animals, and loved the play set in the backyard. There is so much to do in the area, I only wish we had more time to explore, and more time to relax and enjoy the house (the hot tub was a main amenity to me, but we barely had a chance to use it). Next time, because there will be a next time, we will have to rent the cabin for much longer. Thank you, Stephanie, for a wonderful vacation!
