“Relaxing and rejuvinating”
My husband, six month old daughter and I spent the weekend here in May. It was outstanding. Kendall, the owner, was warm and welcoming from the minute we stepped out of the car. She provided us with maps of her property, which you can hike and explore. We especially enjoyed the koi pond and just sitting on the porch swing. The views are amazing from the porch and deck. The cabin is in Fairview, NC which is about 20 minutes away from Asheville. It is the perfect location, far enough away to feel as if you are the only ones around, but close enough to downtown to run in for dinner. You don't have to, however, because there is a restaurant, The Local Joint, about 5 minutes away. They have a variety of local food and organic entrees. Excellent. Kendall is a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor. We were able to get massages for both my husband and myself, which were fantastic. I also opted to take a private yoga lesson, which was awesome. I am a super-beginner, and she was able to make the class both on my level and enjoyable. We got the "relaxation weekend" which I highly recommend. The massage and yoga class (or sauna treatment) come with the cabin price. There is a hot tub which we were unable to use (because we needed to watch the baby), but looked very inviting. Overall, I would give this vacation spot 5 stars, more if I could!
My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing two weeks of beautiful air, local food, dancing and hikes up mountains and along gorgeous rivers. Perfect getaway for overstressed New Yorkers. The best part was meeting and getting to know our hosts who couldn't have been more accommodating. The cabin is clean, light and airy ~ with endless mountain views. There's a hot tub, sauna and outdoor grill. But my favorite part was the birds who fed at the feeder out side our window. And watching Spring arrive as the trees turned greener day by day!
“Tranquil retreat that you'll never forget!”
My husband and I (and our dog) have stayed twice here at Sharon Spring, and we can't wait to go back! Kendall has created a wonderfully inviting, peaceful, beautiful oasis in the mountains, where you can really unwind and reflect. If you are looking for the perfect location that is close to terrific hiking trails as well as downtown asheville, yet secluded and quiet, this is it! The interior of the cabin is gorgeous, and the view of the valley is stunning. Take the extra time for a sauna if you can, and try soaking in the hot tub under a starlit sky (or in the snow!). Well equipped kitchen, great food in town.
“Our weekend was like a spa getaway! Massage, sauna, hot tub, and”
Kendall was wonderful. Her cabin is full of light, simple, and has a great view of nature. The hot tub was right out the door under a sky full of stars. The sauna was fantastic...huge, heated by wood furnace, and like being back in Germany at Baden Baden! And, Kendall offers massages at her house on the property at a reasonable rate...an unexpected bonus for us. I will definitely return.
“Loved Sharon Spring Cabin!”
Sharon Spring is a perfect location for exploring the asheville area. Views from the cabin are spectacular, especially at sunrise. The massages were amazing! The wood burning sauna and hot tub completed the relaxing get-away we so needed. We will be back!
“Lovely Weekend - a must when visiting asheville!”
Lovely studio cabin - everything you need for a few nights stay. So nice and peaceful. Hot tub was perfect and secluded under the stars. During our sauna experience she provided fresh spring water with eucalyptus to pour over the rocks which made it seem like I was in a spa-like heaven. Very close to asheville & Biltmore (15 minutes). Having our dog with us made the trip even better. Massages were great- exactly what we needed after a long day touring Biltmore. I've already recommended this place to family and friends and know we'll be back when we visit the area again. Worth the money for the experience (when you're going to spend close to the same amount for a hotel stay). Don't think twice about booking - if you're making a trip to asheville, this is the only way to experience it!
“A peaceful retreat in the mountains”
We stayed over New Years and had a wonderful time. Kendall is a very accommodating host and gives excellent massages. The cabin is well kept and spacious for a couple. The wood sauna is a real treat and not to be missed! The views from the hot tub are great as well. We hiked in the nearby mountains during the day and grilled and relaxed at night. Very secluded and peaceful spot for a romantic weekend.
Loved this wonderful cabin, the sauna was amazing and with a jacuzzi on the deck, what more could you ask for? Clean and spacious. Peace and quiet just minutes from asheville and Black Mountain
“Surreal and relaxing but still close to all that asheville has t”
Our stay at the cabin was such a rejuvenating experience. Every part of our stay was enjoyable, from the peace and quiet of the natural surroundings to clean crisp mountain air. It is more than a bargain and we will definitely try to stay here again the next time that we visit the asheville area.
“Lovely and pristine mountain getaway”
This beautiful cabin is warm and inviting. Amazing views from inside and out, this is a real gem, nestled away at Sharon Spring Farm just a short trip from asheville. This wonderful space enabled us to hop in the car and enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway, check out the cool shops and delicious food in downtown asheville, and enjoy some time in the hot tub, this cabin was the perfect home base for our weekend in the mountains. Kendall was wonderful and offered lots of information on places to go and things to do in the area. We'll be coming back for a longer trip soon! I would definitely recommend this cabin and it's rugged luxuries to anyone!
