“Best Vacation Experience - Absolutely Loved It !!!”
Home was the Perfect Relaxing Experience. By Far the Best Vacation Home we have stayed in Costa Rica & Top 3 Vacation Property we have stayed at in the World. Perfect Place for the Whole Family/Friends to Relaxed. We Loved Swimming in the Relaxing Pool & watching the Monkeys, Scarlet Makaws, & Baby Sloth from the House Balconies. Views from the Rooms & Porch Balconies are Incredible. We will Definately Come Back with Friends & Family on our next trip to Costa Rica. Five Stars!
Fantastic views, super close to the beach, lots of great restaurants I didn't want to leave this place! The patio pool is so great after spending a day at the beach that's only 10 minutes away.
This villa was just what we needed for 8 couples! There was plenty of room and the location was central to everything we wanted to do - zip lining, hiking to waterfalls, visiting the national park, and going to the most beautiful beaches!!! We saw monkeys, toucans, and large iguanas right outside the villa in the trees! Amazing views! Beautiful location!
“So much fun!”
We stayed at Happy Jacana with a group of 16 and it was perfect for us. The house was big and open and had a great layout, but each of the rooms still had plenty of privacy. The views were amazing! Everything was clean and well taken care of. I would definitely go back!
“Amazing. Absolutely Amazing.”
I highly suggest this place for a large group of friends or family getaway! This is like renting out your own resort with some rooms that are secluded from the main house, yet enough room around the pool, kitchen, and living room to comfortably fit everyone for a gourmet meal prepared by your own in-house chef! While you are sitting enjoying your meal, you can watch the impeccable sunsets and search for wildlife in the trees around you. I love how the glass walls turn into sliding doors that open the entire main quarters to allow the fresh breeze to come through the house. Very convenient location, beautiful property, and amazing staff!!
“Highly recommended. Feels like your own private resort.”
I stayed Happy Jacana in Manuel antonio Estates with a group of 14 friends (7 couples) from December 29th through January 5th, and we were incredibly impressed by the beauty of Happy Jacana, the convenient location, and the amazing staff at Manuel antonio Estates. The pictures do not do the house justice... it really feels like your own private resort/compound. Each bedroom has plenty of space and character, each with its own private bathroom. The main living areas, kitchen, pool, and balcony overlook the town, bay, and jungle, and the house is walking distance to Quepos town for nightlife, groceries, etc. Every afternoon, around 4 or 5 PM, a group of little monkeys would gather in the trees around the house and if we left fruit on the balcony/patio they would jump over to eat and play... seriously! The staff at Manuel antonio Estates were by far the most attentive and helpful resort staff I have ever experienced. Luis and Dorit, two of the managers, arranged for everything we needed during our stay, including an amazing chef, transportation to activities, the beaches, parks, restaurants, etc, and our restaurant reservations the nights we ate out. For our last day in Costa Rica and at Happy Jacana, Luis arranged for a 60 foot catamaran yacht to take us out for the afternoon... the boat trip was very reasonably priced (much lower than through other sources online) and was the highlight of our trip... except for our time spent at Happy Jacana. James, the owner, was also very easy to get in touch with and was very helpful with the myriad of questions I had prior to the trip. It's obvious that he cares deeply about the quality of Happy Jacana and his guests' experience there. The only negative experience was the reality of leaving Happy Jacana and Costa Rica, but my friends and I will surely be back. If you are considering Happy Jacana in Manuel antonio Estates for your Costa Rican getaway, you will not be disappointed.
“Unforgettable experience in Costa Rica :)”
I stayed here for a week in September 2013 and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great adventure full of rich memories in a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. Getting there: I flew from the USa to San Jose, then transfered to a short and inexpensive ($65) flight to Quepos from San Jose that was only 20-30 minutes. From there, it was a short taxi ride to the villa. You can also take a bus or car from San Jose, if you want to save a few bucks and don't mind the longer trip. However, the flight offered a magnificent view of Costa Rica. The property is beautiful and in the rain forest. The photos are nice, but it looks even much better in person. I fed monkeys on the patio, and enjoyed hearing sounds of birds and other exotic animals in the trees at night. When it rained, it was incredibly peaceful and relaxing to hear the rainfall in the forest. The hosts, James and Shireen were beyond awesome. They take a lot of pride in this place and their passion for it really shines through in their warmth and hospitality. They arranged a trip to Jaco and Playa Hermosa, and showed me other great gems in the area, which was a lot of fun. We had a fantastic time together, with tons of great memories and laughs. Although I'm a devout meat eater, I found the vegan chef-prepared meals to be delicious and I really enjoyed them. That being said, there were also plenty of diverse restaurants a short drive away, and fun bars and nightlife. I've traveled to about 60 countries but this was my first time to Costa Rica. I would definitely love to stay here again. If you want a tranquil, idyllic, beautiful and memorable place surrounded by nature... if you want to relax and have a Costa Rican adventure but don't want to compromise on your creature comforts... Happy Jacana is the best of both worlds. Don't hesitate... go for it, you will love it as well! Thanks again James and Shireen! Love you guys :) Cheers alexander
“Happy Jacana is amazing”
Happy Jacana was a treat to stay in. It's a safe location up on the hill and private. We had spider monkeys playing on the deck every day and what a view! James is legit and will make sure you're happy and comfortable in his home. We were treated to an amazing chef, Belen. He served us some amazing meals and also was very helpful! I'll stay again for sure!
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Jacana, the location is perfect, the views are incredible and the pool was a major hit with the kids. The facilities are superb and the Chef was out of this world as well - highly recommended! We saw plenty of monkeys and birds from the balcony and were able to explore Quepos and Manuel antonio National Park easily as well. We can't recommend Villa Jacana highly enough and will definitely be back next year!!!
“"Happy Jacana" Paradise Retreat, In the Heart of CR Rain forest!”
This is an amazing property. From the time I drove up and walked into the door until the time I left I was in awe of my experience. Pictures do not do this place justice. The peace and tranquility of the environment, the gorgeous views, the delicious foods , the pool - all made for an incredible week! To top it off there was about a dozen monkeys that hopped right onto the balcony from the trees, some even came inside the house! I couldn't believe it. The house itself is spectacular and huge , very nicely furnished and clean. And my hosts James and Shereen were the best! I look forward to returning again very soon.
