“Can't wait to come back”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2014

My family had one of the best vacations they have ever had here (words said from all of us). Went over Christmas and what a stress free Christmas it was. My boyz had some great matches of pool and ping pong oh and don't forget the horseshoes. All of the adults did too although not as much we spent more time relaxing by the pool or at the beach. We made great friends with the guys at Mangos and the owners of Barnacles are from MN and so are we. The house was incredibly decorated and so clean and the kitchen had everything we needed which is nice when you have a couple chefs in the family. Can't say enough about what a great place it is and we can't wait to come back next year.

“Possibly best rental on North Captiva Island”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2014

Las Alas was the greatest. We could have been happy spending the whole week in the lovey house. Lots of fun activities right at the house (pool, ping pong, Pandora radio, panoramic desk views, hot tub, pool, horse shoes, games) and a wonderful environment (amazing private landscaping, superior bed linens, towels, well stocked kitchen with all supplies). Super clean! We had great fun ocean kayaking with the supplied kayaks, exploring the near by state park, and lounging on the best beach on the island, the one nearest Las Alas. We recommend renting this hidden gem over any beach front on the island.

“Best Rental on North Captiva”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2014

Steve and Andrew amazed us with everything being just as described. All the bedrooms had top quality bedding and towels. The kitchen had every spice and seasoning and pot, pan and kitchen appliance needed and then some. We spent most all our time at the beach and the pool area. Pool bar fridge and wet bar is perfect. We used the kayaks and saw dolphins and manatees. The pride of ownership and personal service is top notch. We hope to return to Las Olas again next year.

“Awesome vacation property”

Las Olas is a wonderful place to stay. Staying in this beautiful, well kept, and spacious home was part of what made the trip to North Captiva so enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the decor was very nice. There are lots of outdoor spaces to relax in - the screened porch, the open decks, the pool area, the hammock, and the roof top overlook. The yard is quiet and secluded, yet close to the beach. The pool table, pingpong table, kayaks, and golf carts are all bonuses that made the week fun. We highly recommend Las Olas and hope to return one day.

I was looking online for a spacious home with a pool, in a good location where the beaches were beautiful but not over-crowded, & shelling was good for the kids. My expectations were far exceeded with this home & island!! From the moment we walked in the door, we were amazed at how beautiful the home was; the pictures do not do it justice! The pool was a great size - not too small. The living area was doubled when we opened up the big double sliding doors leading to the big screened in porch that included several fans, adding to the great ocean breeze. Steve and Andrew provided so many extra little touches that many places do not - over-sized, fluffy beach towels & bath towels, high end comforters & linens, beautiful serving ware, ect ect. The beautiful beaches were within walking distance & were never crowded. We saw dolphins close-by on several occasions. The island is so tropical and beautiful & definitely a place to visit, but Las Olas is by far the reason our stay was so enjoyable. I rented this house with my kids, following a trip to Disney and Nickelodeon Resorts- where we had a GREAT time, but when I asked them what their favorite part of the vacation was (ages ranging from 4-13), the unanimous response was the home Las Olas!!! Thank you SO much Steve & Andrew for giving them memories that they will have forever.

“Las Olas is possibly the best rental option on N. Captiva.”

“Great Family Getaway”

Reviewed 10 May 2014

The house is just as described and pictured. The house is a short distance to the beach and close to the sanctuary. There is so much to do that my five grandchildren were never bored. We had a wonderful vacation and brought home with us wonderful memories. We hope to return to Las Olas and North Captiva.

“Fantastic Family Getaway”

Reviewed 1 May 2014

Las Olas and North Captiva had the perfect mixture of fun and tranquility. We stayed with our inlaws, parents, children and our dog making for a great family getaway. North Captiva provided wonderful experience with nature seeing alligators, tortoises, osprey, eagles, manatees, sea turtles and herons. Even better was not to have all the noise found at a typical beach property no shopping, no tourist traps just time with family and lots of opportunities to enjoy peace and quiet of the island. We will definitely be returning and when we do this will be the home as it was perfect for our family had everything and was very well taken care of, great property.

“Most amazing Vacation Ever!!!”

Reviewed 27 Mar 2014

We had a group of eight at Las Olas and had an absolutely perfect vacation. The accommodations are wonderful and just as listed and pictured. The adults and children alike loved the proximity to the beach (enjoyable 1 minute golf cart cruise,) pool, hot tub, pool table, ping pong, etc. After touring the island, I didn't see any other house with as much to do. The house is extremely nice. And yes, the bedding is super comfortable. We will not think twice about returning to Las Olas

“Amazing is an understatment!”

Reviewed 24 Feb 2014

Our family just came back from the most beautiful and relaxing vacation at Las Olas! When we arrived we knew the house was beautiful from the pictures, but honestly, the pictures didn't do the home justice. Having stayed at a number of homes all over the world (Rome, Tuscany, Krakow (Poland), Orlando (x2), and Cape Cod) we are not new to vacation homes. However, this house was the best home we've ever stayed didn't feel like a vacation felt like a home. The attention to detail and impeccably clean adobe was truly a home away from home, which was fully stocked with everything we would need (which is sooo much appreciated). Steve was very accommodating, and had laid out everything we would need with clear descriptions and instructions. The location was perfect, the grounds were again impeccable, and the pool and hot tub provided a very relaxing conclusion to the lazy days at the beach. Our family has just found our annual vacation retreat! We'll most definitely be back! Thanks guys!!!
