“Enjoyable stay in the mountains”
My family of 5 stayed at Chris's cabin in July 2015. We had a great time and loved the cabin. Communication with Chris was excellent from the time I booked the cabin right through to our stay there and afterwards as well. After I booked the cabin, Chris arranged a call and we spent about 15 minutes going through everything, including access to the cabin, rental agreement and arranging the provision of linen as we were traveling from Europe. Many of Chris's guests are from LA so it makes sense for them to bring their own linen (remember this is a cabin in a mountain village resort), but that wasn't an option for us. Close to the time of our arrival, Chris had to change the lock on the front door of the cabin. He notified us by email in plenty of time and requested that I confirm that I had received the notification, rather than take a chance that I might have missed it while travelling. The cabin itself is exactly what you would hope for, for a mountain cabin. It is in a quiet, peaceful location and is approx 15 minutes walk from the Pint Mountain village centre. Chris has everything in the cabin well labelled and I have no doubt that if we had any problems locating anything he would have been able to tell us exactly where to find it. We made us of the pool in the village centre while there, which was great on a hot July day. There are several mountain trails in the area. We didn't have enough time in the area to do all of there. As we were there in July, bug repellant is needed. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Chris's cabin and would be very happy to stay there again, if we're ever in that part of the world again.
“Chris' cabin is the way to go!”
I recommend Chris' cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. The cabin is clean and comfortable, and comes fully stocked. I stayed two nights with three other friends, and had an excellent stay.
Visited the cabin on a long weekend. Had beautiful weather so was able to enjoy the walk to the Pine Mountain Center. Other family members did several hikes. Great location and beautiful views from deck. Living space and kitchen are small but the bedrooms are quite large. Cabin has everything you need. Enjoyed the internet and satellite TV. Would definitely use again. Nice that we could bring our dog too. He loved it.
“Chris' Cabin was exactly what we were looking for for our stay”
What I enjoyed most about the cabin was how clean and neat everything was inside and outside the house. First of all, the cabin is secluded and that was a big plus for us, it definitely added to the cozy atmosphere. If you're looking for a place where you can really go on vacation, especially for the heart and mind, Chris' Cabin is the place to go.
“Highly recommend this wonderful cabin living for extended family!”
We much enjoyed being able to have so many of our family join for at least part of our two day stay at this most cozy cabin. All were surprised and pleased with the set up. It is most accommodating for both adults and children. Arranging matters was very graciously and efficiently orchestrated by Chris, who is most obliging. A pleasure to work with! We "put in an order for snow" and couldn't have had a better snow situation for hours of play with kids at the top of Mt. Pinos, which is an easy drive from the cabin. The convenience store near by met our needs well and experiencing nature by exploring the wooded surrounds by the cabin was an added pleasure. Adult time in the cabin was enhanced by the fine TV system in the cabin. Next time, and we are planning a next time , we may indulge in watching a DVD from the vast library Chris has provided. Thank you, Chris. You will soon get confirmation on our booking for holiday season 2015!
“Great Thanksgiving Weekend At Chris' Cabin!”
We have stayed at Chris' cabin numerous times and have always enjoyed it. The fact that we keep returning, speaks volumes about our experiences at this cabin and the great service that we receive from Chris. Chris is always helpful and attentive. I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone trying to get away from the hustle of the city for a relaxing weekend.
“Relaxing, quiet weekend in the woods!”
The hubby, myself and the pups had a wonderful stay at Chris's Cabin. It was clean, quiet and cozy with plenty of entertainment. The King size bed was super comfy - we are total bed snobs by the way. The couch and dining chairs however, not so much (but again, we are plush snobs.) The bakery in the village was delicious and we even had a little snow up the mountain to play in. It was a great, inexpensive weekend and we will definitely be back.
This was my first experience with a VRBO rental and it was absolutely wonderful. The cabin pictures accurately reflected the property and the view off of the two balconies is simply breathtaking. The owner Chris patiently and quickly answered all my nervous first time questions before renting and the couple I had during our stay. Although one day of our stay was devoted to taking the grandkids to Knotts Berry Farm we enjoyed hiking and exploring in the area on the other day, along with just relaxing in the cabin. The 12 year old grandson, proclaimed it "awesome" when he arrived and his 8 year old brother asked if he could leave a gift thanking the owner for letting us stay. We will definitely consider returning in the future!
“Awesome Cabin Experience”
Chris' Cabin is the absolute best. This was our third visit and we cannot wait to go back. The cabin is very clean, has all the amminities of home, and is big enough for multiple people to stay comfortably. The owner, Chris, is very attentive and kind through the whole process. He truly makes you feel like your a close friend or family member. I should also mention that we took two teenage girls with us who thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and look forward to returning.
Chris's Cabin is very quaint. Furniture and flooring are old, but clean. The deck has a beautiful and peaceful view, some comfy chairs are needed. The best part of this rental is the host and owner Chris. He was likely concierge on steroids, in a very good way. He supplied us with information on restaurants, hiking trails and things to do. He has an amazing DVD collection and is extremely organized. Chris is a very nice person and we really enjoyed working with him. We recommend Chris's cabin and hope to return.
Response from the owner I'm so pleased you enjoyed the cabin! I'm sorry you didn't find the deck chairs. I urge all my guests to look through our welcome book when they get to the cabin; it has the locations of everything in the cabin, including the 8 deck chairs in the Den closet. They are very comfortable and meant specifically to set out on the deck and enjoy the amazing view.
