“Beautiful Cabin in the Woods”

Reviewed 23 Oct 2013

This is a beautiful, cozy guest house and a perfect spot for our family of four to spend a long weekend in Tofino. It's a close walk to town (well, close for us - but we walk a lot), and a convenient drive to Cox Bay for surfing. The guest house is really well constructed with noticeable attention to detail.

“Surf weekend”

Reviewed 2 Oct 2013

Booking was very easy! The owner was very friendly and welcoming from arrival to check out. The cabin is beautiful, warm and full of character... Everything we needed was there and more! - Although it was just the two of us on a romantic surf weekend, I would highly recommend a family or group stay to make use of all the room and comforts. Mackenzie's beach is only a few minutes away but the surf was too big and messy... So we drove a few minutes into town - to a more sheltered beach ( Tonquin )which had smaller, fun, clean, waves and we had the place all to ourselves. Even in the rainy off season, Tofino's nature is well worth the visit, alive with people and things to see or do Everything at Tigh na was perfect and as a surf trip, easy waves were to still be found and ridden even during a massive swell which impressively pounded the shores of the more popular beaches. We look forward to returning.

“Tofino Time Vibe”

Reviewed 16 Aug 2013

Beautiful cabin in the rainforest with driftwood board walk to an amazing atmospheric pebble beach. This three bedroom house sits on the owners property but is a good distance away and completely secluded in the rainforest. The cabin looks like it was designed for Tofino and mixes the "hippy" vibe with driftwood banisters, native art and all mod cons. It sits just outside the town - it's walkable and a stroll away from the great Tofino Brewing Co and the Red Can Gourmet. Janice was knowledgable but unobtrusive. Plenty of info in the house with some tips -Tofino Brewing Co "growler" to get filled while you order dinner from The Red Can Gourmet - that only come form a well informed local. Tofino itself was a long awaited dream of mine which didn't disappoint. Fantastic situation on the island, quaint whaling town buildings and native art with the rainforest, Pacific Rim Reserve and the atmospheric misty beaches with a whole new league in driftwood. Would go back in a heartbeat.

“Peaceful Retreat”

This was the perfect place for us. Quiet and peaceful, west-coast style cottage. We loved seeing trees from every window and skylight! Very nice.

“August 12 - 19, 2012”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2012

Our family very much enjoyed the holiday we had at Tigh-na Clayoquot Guest House which was equipped with all that we needed. Its location was just right for us in the midst of island greenery and large trees so that we could enjoy the feeling of being on our own and yet close enough for a short drive into Tofino and numerous beaches. The rocky beach connected to your property was always interesting from the misty mornings to the setting of the sun. Seeing the resident eagle was a bonus. Walking to MacKenzie Beach a few times was always enjoyable and the younger ones also walked to Tofino. Thank you for the hospitality you extended to us. We have already recommended Tigh-na Clayoquot Guest House to our friends. All the best to you. The Klassen Family

“Wonderful vacation home!”

Reviewed 5 Jun 2012

Our stay in Tofino was made even more wonderful than the nature of the surroundings by this gorgeous and unique cabin. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in, it was so comfortable. It was a perfect vacation!

“wonderful spot”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2011

This house is a work of art - beautiful design and details, and lots of windows to allow viewing of the beautiful trees and birds around. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 3 teens and we were very comfortable. The nature of the area is magical - the rainforest, the sea, the tidal pools full of strange creatures, whales, seals, wolves, birds, etc. Loved it all.
