Very Good

“Very Nice and Perfect Location”

Reviewed 27 Dec 2016

We enjoyed our stay very much. Perfect location close to ski slopes.. tubing and restaurants. We had everything we needed just like home. The cabin was decorated very cute for Christmas. There are tons of games to play and nice front porch. We would love to come back again sometime and stay again sometime.

“Wonderful Mountain Retreat!”

Reviewed 19 May 2014

My husband and I along with some friends thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful mountain location. The cabin was spacious, clean and cozy. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the kitchen was supplied with everything one would need. Beds were comfortable. The view from the front porch was "Fabulous" of the mountains. This would be also perfect for a family with children due to the great game room in the lower level. Thank you to Lisa and her husband for sharing their wonderful Maggie Valley retreat. We are planning on returning.

“Perfect vacation home!”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2014

This mountain home is a beautiful place to spend a vacation. Everything you could possibly need is right there for you. It is like being at home. We have stayed there for a week, the last four years, and would not even consider another option. The owners are wonderful and the price is very reasonable. We would strongly recommend it to all.

“This house has it all!”

Reviewed 21 Oct 2013

We have rented many houses over the years and this house is definitely one of the most comfortable homes we've stayed in. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need, is clean and well cared for. The front porch has a spectacular view and is perfect for relaxing while listening to the church bells in the distance and the rushing mountain stream nearby. The use of the garage was an added bonus to a house that has it all. It is in a beautiful area of the country with lots of things to do. We easily filled up one week and still didn't make it to everything on our list. The owners, Lisa and Rick, are very nice to work with and their special touches throughout the house make it destination to return to again and again.

“Fantastic Cabin and Service!”

Reviewed 14 Mar 2013

We rented this cabin last weekend for a last-minute ski trip, and we couldn't have been more happy with the entire experience! When booking, Lisa was very quick to respond and provided all the information we were looking for. When we arrived, we were so pleasantly surprised at how how everything is so neatly organized and labeled for ease of use. Every light switch tells what it operates. The kitchen cabinets and even the cabinets in the bedrooms are labeled to let you know where everything is. Emergency info is located clearly on the refrigerator. I love these kinds of details because it shows that the owners are truly interested in making your stay as nice and safe as possible. They even left water bottles with tea and hot chocolate packets for us, which was a very nice touch! But the service doesn't stop there. We had a few questions when we arrived, and Lisa was very quick to respond with help and assistance. She made it feel like she really had our best interests at heart, and that made the experience that much better. I can honestly say that we've never had as good an experience at a rental cabin as we had at altitude adjustment, and we've been to a lot. Next time we go to Cataloochee, we'll be seeing if this one is available first! Oh, by the way, for skiing, the location can't be beat! It's on the main road that leads to the ski area, just a 3-4 mile drive up the hill and you're there. Can't ask for a better location.

“An altitude to help the attitude and get life's path back on the”

Reviewed 12 Feb 2013

My family and I have chosen to stay at one of the most peaceful, decorative (with bears and deer decor, as one should expect in the "Great Smoky Mountains), and all the amenities one should need in a home away from home, but found in a cabin. I almost hesitate to call it a cabin. It's a vacation home. You feel the warmth of a touch of home when you enter the cabin. It is located in a quiet and peaceful area and close to the Cataloochee Ski Resort, Tube World & Ghost Town (open in the summer) plus lots of interesting shops in Maggie Valley. We love to eat breakfast at Joey's Pancake House (don't miss out on the best pancakes in the world, as is our and many other folks opinion.) Also, Cherokee, home of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Tribe is just a few miles away, as is the Casino and great restaurants located within it such as Paula Dean's and Ruth Kriss steaks. My daughter and husband treated me out for my birthday and this just added more pleasure to our vacation. I would refer anyone and everyone to have our experience at altitude adjustment and see if it doesn't help your attitude too! It will be noticed by friends and family that you are more relaxed and have had a well deserved vacation. After all, who is more important than you who takes care of everyone else! Good choice and have fun if you do choose to stay like we did. We will be back again! Thanks to Lisa and Rick Freedman! We love your cabin/home.

“A relaxing place that everyone can enjoy”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2012

Thanks to Lisa and Rick they have created the Home away from Home. The kids enjoyed the game room and the huge selection of movies. This place was perfect for us since we were skiing at the resort at the top of the mountain. We were able to ski, come back to rest and then go back. We enjoyed breakfast on the front deck looking out at the beautiful view. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. I was very Happy with my stay at the cabin and hope to come back soon. A Beautiful place to stay.

“A Wonderful Stay at altitude adjustment (Maggie Valley) vacation”

Hey Lisa and Rich, I just wanted to say that my family had an incredible time at your vacation home. It was just what we needed. :) We enjoyed many of the activities in the surrounding areas from Cherokee to ashville and the Biltmore House. The different restaurants on Soco Road were fun to try every day too. I think everyone voted Joey's Pancake house as the big winner. Your home is very beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the views and the downtime in front of the fireplace and on the balcony. What great mental therapy. My wife enjoyed doing her morning devotional in front of the fireplace with a cup of coffee. At night my oldest daughter and my son played their guitars in front of the fireplace. In the mornings my youngest daughter couldn't get enough of the view from the balcony as the sun was rising. She took almost 100 pictures of that view. :) Thanks again for the opportunity to use your home. We loved it. Sincerely, Mike
