“Everything we were looking for!”

Reviewed 29 Oct 2013

We wanted a lovely cabin with an outstanding view, a place where we could relax. Antler's Ridge was exactly what we were looking for. Our cabin was well decorated, very comfortable, and clean. Al and Sandy were professional hosts, and emailed all the information we needed to enjoy the area, it's restaurants and attractions. We look forward to returning to this lovely place.

“Peace and solitude in the mountains”

Reviewed 28 Oct 2013

The cabin was just as advertised. It is a true log cabin that offers peace and solitude but is still only 15 minutes to Blue Ridge. The owners have paid great attention to detail in the cabin. Every where you look is a little nick knack that is quite relevant to being in a log cabin in the mountains. And I mean everywhere! It really adds to the ambiance. The living area is very comfortable with the gas fireplace. Everything available in the kitchen if you are cooking a meal. The beds very comfortable and course the view is memorizing. The road from the four lane up to the cabin paved drive way can be a little hairy the first time you take it, but just take your time and it will be no problem.

“What a View”

Reviewed 25 May 2013

My wife and I were looking for a secluded cabin with a view. We got that and much more. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Clean and comfortable ,with all the amenities. We spent hours sitting on the decks watching the mountain views change as the sun moved accross the sky.Blue Ridge is a great city to visit.Great shops, places to eat and the people are kind and very willing to answer your questions . The Powells were great to work with and we're already planning to take our next trip to antler Ridge. Thanks Sandy and al

“Home away from home..”

Reviewed 11 Mar 2013

My family and I stayed at the antler Ridge Hideaway for 3 nights. (I believe Sandy has 3 cabins.) The cabin was spacious enough to accomodate my family of 5 (sons over 6') comfortably. The interior was very cozy and themed nicely. The views from the patio on both levels were great. The cabin location is private and surrounded by lots of wooded land (loved the privacy). My dog absolutely enjoyed the carefree roaming of the surrounding area. I wasn't aware that the stairs to the master on the lower level was so steep (knee surgery), so it was a little uncomfortable for me. However, the master bedroom was nice and the jacuzzi on the lower patio was welcoming and relaxing. We enjoyed bonding and roasting marshmellows at the firepit. The children enjoyed hiking, exploring, and ziplineing. The Kitchen was well stocked you just need to bring the food and bathrooms had plenty of towels. Sandy was wonderful, she provided us with lots of information for the surrounding area. She was very attentive and available for any questions or concerns. Excellent customer service. This was our first cabin rental and she made the experience from start to finish very pleasant. I would recommend this cabin.

“Had a great time”

Reviewed 3 Mar 2013

We stayed there from feb 22 to feb 27 2013. There weather was a little cold but not too bad. The cabin has a great atmosphere to relax and look off the balcony with its great view. It was also nice just to sit in the hot tub and watch as the sun set. The cabin was really close to everything ( downtown, sightseeing, whatever your fancy). When we stayed at the cabin we went fishing, digging for gems, putt-putt golf, horseback riding, hiking all with the family and sisters family 3 adults and 4 children, ages 3-6 and two dogs. The cabin was more then accommodating for all of us. We had a great experience just a little advice follow the directions Sandy gives rather then gps at night took a minute to find the cabin. It was a relief once we did though. Thank you Sandy for everything really made this vacation amazing. Thanks to you, I really mean this cant wait to come back

“mini vacation”

Reviewed 21 Feb 2013

Our trip to the Hideaway cabin was the weekend of Valentines Day. We couldn't have ask for anything more perfect than the cabin. The Powell's go out of their way to make the cabin feel like you are residing in your own home. All the supplies were there for cooking, coffee for the morning, etc. We enjoyed using the hot tub and looking up at the stars. Im thankful for Sandy on giving me all the fun ideas to do around Blue Ridge and the surrounding areas. Consolidated Gold Mines was fun and also learning how they mined gold back in the early days. The roads were a bit challenging and never been on a true mountain road i was nervous but the SUV went up with no problems. I hope to take a vacation in the summer and have a chance to visit Blue Ridge and have the opportunity to rent from the Powells. And I want to give a shoot out to their house keeper she did a awesome job having the cabin clean and ready to use.

“A relaxing, beautiful and peaceful atmosphere in a natural setti”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2012

This is camping in style! Al and Sandy have gone over and above to make your stay feel like home away from home. She stocks the cabin with all the essentials needed including firewood, dish soap and most importantly toilet paper!!! The balcony was just breath taking to sit outside in the morning and breathe the mountain air with the most beautiful mountain site. You are really high up so you get a really good view. Sit quietly and you will most certainly see the deer and bear as we did running down the mountain. Sandy I would recommend you and your property as a 5 star. You were so informative on the area activities as well. We are going to visit again soon. Just have to say that since it is pretty high up the mountain we got a little lost and ended up trying to do a 3 point turn up there and got the car stuck on a hump on the side of the road. Other than that...It was fantastic!

“A relaxing week in North Georgia, Antler Ridge Hideaway.”

Reviewed 1 Jul 2011

Don't miss this one. All is as promised and the owners are great to deal with. The view is spectacular, the pemises are spotless and equipped as advertised. Lots of wildlife in a no-hunt-no-shoot area. What a pleasure to find that your expectations are met and exceeded. We look forward to a return visit asap.

“Great Mountain get-away!”

Reviewed 22 Jan 2010

We arrived at the cabin and were so excited. The cabin was clean, well supplied and perfect for our stay. The view was beautiful and the weather was also a plus. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. We had a family reunion with about 15 people and the space was perfect. We hung out on the lower deck and upper porch and never felt crowded. You can sleep 6 people with no problem and maybe 8 if there is a family. The downstairs is perfect for a family of 4. We enjoyed the jacuzzi. Always warm and ready. Laundry facilities were excellent. Stairs on the inside of the cabin connecting the 1st and 2nd floors are a little steep but didn't seem to stop any of us and we were all in our sixties or older. This is a beautiful and secluded spot. Great for hiking and just walking in the woods. Your stay will be comfortable and relaxing because of the beautiful surroundings. Blue Ridge is not far away and there are many things to do in the beautiful little town. Enjoy your stay!

“A Great Family Vacation”

Reviewed 6 Dec 2009

Prior to ever leaving, the communication with the owners made getting ready a breeze. We had no logistical problems whatsoever. The house was perfect - great for taking naps, drinking coffee on the porch, and of course taking in the gorgeous view. It was easy to find and is convenient to many North Georgia sites. The hottub was relaxing, and everything about the house just said 'comfort'. My favorite aspect would have to be the spacious deck which was great for enjoying the cool mountain air. I can honestly say that nothing about that vacation was a negative (well, maybe backing out the driveway the first few times). All told, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again in the future.
