My wife and I spent a few nights here 2 weeks ago. Our host was extremely helpful in helping us to get booked and settled in. The Cabin is very cozy. Just the 2 of us stayed there, but it could be pushed to 4 or 6. There is one bathroom, so that is biggest consideration in number of people there. Being able to open up the doors and windows on the ocean side of the cabin was a big plus. So nice to hear the surf crashing, especially at night! Big down comforter on master bed was nice to snuggle under as it cooled down. The place was well stocked with everything we needed. I was especially impressed with garage full of beach chairs, wagon, boogie boards, wet suits, gloves, hoodies and booties, etc.! And the new tree house is an engineering marvel that gives you unobstructed views of the 3 Arches and the beach. Great spot for sunset with a beer or glass of wine. The deck off the main level of Cabin also has very nice views as well. We wanted something that was reasonably affordable with ocean views and in a quiet place. Oceanside is a neat little town with only 2 small restaurants and a coffee bar. Roseanna's had nice seafood for dinner, and Blue Agate Café was great spot for breakfast burritos or eggs and waffles. Since the town is in a cul-de-sac off 101, there is no through traffic. Even though it was high-season, the beach wasn't crowded at all because it's so darn big! We had some great long walks and explored to the north. The Lighthouse is only 2 miles north, and lots more dining options to the south all the way down to Lincoln City. Highly recommend a stay here!
“Cozy and full of amenities.”
Our family lived this little cabin. It is an older home with a bit of a throw back feeling. The kids loved the setup of the rooms and the toys and games. Also, the tree house and swings are awesome. I appreciate that you have it locked up, as my little people are too small to enjoy it unsupervised. We loved that you have wet suits and boards for us to borrow! The smallest one fit our large 3 year old. By the end of our second day he was enjoying some waves with assistance. We did our best to rinse the gear per instructions. We really, really appreciated it all. Plenty of dishes, movies, and linens. The beds were cozy. We plan on returning!
“Like a Warm Hug”
Knotty Pine Cabin is absolutely delightful. We have stayed in Oceanside numerous times over the last 10 years and have always enjoyed ourselves; however, the cabin was like being welcomed home with a big hug. The cabin is very comfortable and has everything you could ever need. The tree house offers a lovely escape with the most incredible view. We will definitely make Knotty Pine Cabin our home away from home in Oceanside.
“A great spot to get away”
This cabin was a perfect spot to get away for a few days. Located close to the beach with all the amenities to make it comfortable for anyone who stays. We loved the view, the wood stove and the fact that it was pet friendly. We will be coming back again!
“A lovely cozy retreat”
Family came to visit from out of state and the five of us stayed 2 nights in Knotty Pine cabin. It was lovely, with great views of the ocean from the living room and the tree house; plenty of board games to play for adults and a 7 year old, a completely useable kitchen, and a short walk to restaurants and the beach. The second bedroom had room for a bed and a passageway to the master bedroom, so privacy was a bit limited. Also, views of the ocean were interspersed with views of other houses. This did not take away from how delightful the cabin is: we'll be staying there again the next time family visits.
“Perfect R & R beach rental”
Rory - your sweet little cabin met all of our needs and was all it was promised to be and more. This cabin takes you back to simpler times, yet has all the amenities to meet all of our needs. Thank you for sharing your wonderful property - we can't wait for our next visit. Our daughter is making me promise to use one of those wetsuits next time with her:)
“Delightfully 'drowned'; Oregon Coast in casual comfort!”
We travelled in pouring rain; but upon arrival it stopped We bolted for the beach and had a wonderful brisk walk before returning to unpack and get acclimated. All we needed was where it would expected to be. Morning brought glorious sunshine which showed off Oceanside in its finest. We were able to do what we had hoped to; walk and relax. Then the "famed or infamous storms" came in all their glory! So we curled up read and watched and listened and wondered about these majestic trees; can they withstand these winds?? Oh yes, just for the last 200 years! The weather did not hinder what we wanted or needed to do; we had a home to come back to. Knotty Pine was our sanctuary with all the necessary amenities. Sunshine started our stay and ended it; thank you Knotty Pine for being so considerate!
We had a wonderful time. Any thing we wanted or needed was right at our finger tips. Wonderful cabin to stay at. Will be staying there many times in the future... Beautiful view...beautiful deck... Hunted agates all day... sipped wine by the fireplace in the evening... Heavenly
“staying in Oceanside? look no further!”
Oceanside is one of the better outposts on the Oregon Coast and the Knotty Pine Cabin is a great place to set up camp and take it all in, from Cape Lookout to Cape Meares, whale watching included, which we were able to do during our stay, much to the delight of first-timers in our party. the cabin had comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen/pantry, the wood was dry and fireplace worked superbly, as did everything else, plus the price is right: highly recommended! Kw
Knotty Pine Ocean Cabin is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood away from busy streets and just steps to the beach. If you are looking for a tranquil getaway - this cabin is the place to stay! The living room has huge windows, almost like two glass walls, overlooking the ocean - the best view to wake up to! It's perfect for couples and families with kids, as it has a wonderful tree house structure and two swings. The tree house has the greatest views of the sunset. I stayed there for two nights with my ten year old son, and we had a blast together! The house has a cable TV, a DVD player, a stereo system, and lots of traditional board games. The place is very cozy and romantic in any weather!
