“Outstanding place!”

Reviewed 29 Dec 2014

We stayed at the End of the Trail at the end of October and we can't say enough about this hidden paradise. It's away from all the hustle and bustle, very private and perfectly located for hiking right from the front steps. Not only did this beautiful hacienda have every amenity you could ask for, the little things really made the biggest differences. Every detail was thought through from an awesome welcome package to help us plan our days and snacks to get us through them but even things like the ironing board and washer/dryer were high-end. We're planning to return in March, as we can't stop talking about it, with a group of friends and can't wait! Highly recommended. Thanks for everything Angela.

Response from the owner Dear Tasha, You're very welcome! We are glad you found so very many positives to report about your stay at our hidden paradise. Thank you! Angela

“Wow - how soon can I go back?”

Reviewed 16 Nov 2014

I stayed at this gorgeous house as part of a girl's getaway in October. No kids, no cooking, no stress! It was even better than the pictures. The house is immaculately maintained with a ton of extras to make you feel right at home. There was plenty of room so that everyone in our large group could have privacy when they wanted or retreat to one of the many cozy nooks and crannies to read a book or have a nap. But we also had gorgeous spaces to come together for drinks and yummy food from the little carniceria down the road. Outdoor cabana with comfy loungers, tv and huge dining table. Beautiful pool to cool off in the day after hiking the local trails and a large hot tub to luxuriate in at night. What more could you ask for? The owner is very responsive and thinks of everything! There is a wealth of printed info in binders to help you plan your stay and take full advantage of all the features in this house like music throughout and apple TV, etc. The lemon orchard, the big backyard, laundry on site, amazing pool, the comfiest beds and a well equipped kitchen -- I can find fault with not a thing! And the neighborhood itself is quiet, picturesque and close to hiking and biking trails. (If you can summon the energy to leave the pool floaties that is!) Can't wait to go back with the kids. They will love the pool - especially the beach entrance.

Response from the owner Dear Sheri, Wonderful! We are delighted you had such a stress-free stay, and that you are planning to return. Thanks for sharing the details with future travellers! Angela

“A Romantic Treat from my Husband!”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2014

My Husband found this lovely property and planned our amazing trip around it! So comfortable and spacious! It was just the two of us, but we could have had our 2 Sons and my mother-in-law with us and still had plenty of privacy! There is something for everyone here and the attention to detail is super nice! Shopping is about 1/2 mile away and hiking is right out your front door. I loved the roof-top deck and saw so many hummingbirds! Last but not least- we both loved the master bed!

Response from the owner Dear Guests, We really appreciate you sharing with future travellers that you found the property romantic, comfortable and spacious. We are lucky to attract so many hummingbirds with the beautiful landscaping, and even have a nest again this year by the pool. We hope you will return with your sons and mother-in-law! Kind regards, Angela

“A GREAT RETREAT”

Reviewed 28 May 2014

WE were two women, later joined by another two. We loved the privacy of the location. Often swimming unclothed.. just wearing towels. The house is close to desert walks. The pool is devine.. the salt water makes you buoyant. One of the group loved the hot tub despite the heat relaxed in it regularly. Nice galley kitchen, well equipped altho you need a stool to reach many things. The poatio on the other side of the house was where we ate breakfast and lunch.. just lovely.

“End of Trail, La Quinta, March 2014”

Reviewed 21 Mar 2014

We just completed our exciting visit to La Quinta End of Trails. The property was incredible! We had a group of 8 and the space was perfect. Every possible thing needed seemed to be anticipated and labeled ready to use. The full house and patio sound system is amazing. The pool, jacuzzi, roof top fire pit, BBQ and overall resort type ambiance was fantastic. We were all disappointed to leave since there were so many more things we could have enjoyed. The location is also a huge bonus. We had many friends staying inside the La Quinta Resort and it was a very quick drive, even not too bad by foot. We also explored the nearby trials, which are great. The tennis courts just down the street also worked well for our tennis oriented group. We'll be back next year and I think we'll bring mountain bikes to really enjoy the trails!

“Fantastic escape in all aspects!! Location, Privacy, Amenities,”

Reviewed 13 Mar 2014

We weren't sure about vacationing in California in December, but my wife loved it. We actually had great warm weather and I was glad to miss the cold stuff back home. End of the Trail feels like a tropical paradise! A roadrunner visited the landscaped courtyard, also hummingbirds. We enjoyed the Christmas tree they set up in the dining room, touches which made it seem like home away from home. Ultra comfortable king-size bed facilitated us getting rested up and re-energized for more outings. We enjoyed most days relaxing in the lovely, heated swimming pool and strong jetted hot tub, followed by Bbqing (sparkling clean SS Weber by the music-filled furnished cabana). We loved access to variety of the fruit trees. There is an amazing roof-top patio area to catch a little tan and relax in the daytime and then enjoy the gorgeous sunsets, laze around a fire-table in soft chairs. Our daughter came out from the coast and stayed with us for a few nights. Her kids thoroughly enjoyed everything about the The End Of The Trail especially the pool and all the water toys and also having indoor toys was a blessing. Our grandson even made us fresh lemonade squeezed from lemons that he had picked himself right off of one of the trees. La Quinta area was decorated for the season with seasonal events in Olde Town. Lots of pretty decorations with palm trees strewn with lights everywhere. Shopping choices were a "pleasure" for my wife - easy to navigate highway 111 and free parking everywhere. Took in annual "tamale festival" in neighbouring Indio - a unique and tasty experience. Sunday evening dinner at The Indian Wells Resort entertained by Frank Sinatra sound-alike Frank DiSalvo singing with the Ted Herman big band. A leisurely scenic day-trip drive to the coast for a dip in the Pacific. Highly recommend. Privacy, luxury, spacious relaxation with caring, attentive owner and property mgt. Planning return for a month or more (avoids taxes). Thank you so much angela and Trusted Property.

“Great getaway”

I loved staying in this place. Older place, lots of space, well organized and clean. Well maintained. Nice pool and hot tub, amazing roof deck, great for finishing off the day.

“Desert Oasis”

Reviewed 18 Feb 2014

This is a beautiful and inviting home, with lovely pool, garden and hot tub. The rooftop deck with firepit/table was especially wonderful in the cool evenings, with great views of stars, valley lights and mountain silhouettes. Inside, the house is attractive and comfortable, with lots of space, beautiful local furniture and more. Easy access to shopping and restaurants, but the property itself is beautiful and tranquil.

“The "end of the trail" is just the start of a wonderful La Quint”

Reviewed 17 Feb 2014

Our stay at "the end of the trail" was second to none that we've experienced so far. Within walking distance to old towne La Quinta and a 10 minute drive to some of the best golf in the Palm Springs area the "end of the trail" would be the start of a great vacation for any family or group!

“Perfect Mid-winter Stay”

Reviewed 13 Feb 2014

We were fortunate to get out of Chicago and stay at The End of the Trail during the first full week in January. The pictures on Vrbo look great but the property was even more incredible in person. A typical day started out with a view onto desert mountains and a trip to the orange tree out back to make freshly squeezed orange juice. Hiking trails are a 5 minute walk away and are nicely followed up by a dip in the pool or a soak in the hot tub. Most days were spent in the immediate area or being lazy by the pool. At night, it got a bit cold, but after throwing on the fire on the observation deck, we were able to appreciate the clarity of the stars in absolute comfort. The property has every amenity you could possibly imagine or need and was full of binders with information about the house and suggested activities for the surrounding area. From our initial inquiry, through the stay, and after we left, I cannot stress how taken care of we felt. The property owners and management company assured our stay was as relaxing as possible. For the future, I cannot think of any other way I could stay in the Palm Springs/La Quinta area.

Response from the owner Dear Guests, Wow, we are just so glad we exceeded your expectations when you arrived from the Chicago winter. Thank you so so much for taking the time to tell future travellers about some of the possibilities for rejuvenating at End of the Trail. Hope to see you back year after year. Kind regards, Angela
