“Nice enough”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2016

This was our 3rd stay in the Aspens and overall each property has been nice. This was the most disappointing unit we have had. It was listed for 6 people but had seating and comfortable sleeping for 4. The unit was very clean, but had obviously seen some wear and tear. Many lights were out upon arrival but maintenance did come In and replace. The coffee maker(for 6?!) was basically a hotel room size, making barely more than a cup. I asked the management folks for a larger one and they refused stating it was up to the owners. Additionally, the thermostats were not functioning but fortunately only one night was really cold while we were there. The location of these condos is wonderful-right off Moose Wilson Road with easy access to the GTNP. The little convenience store nearby is spendy but well stocked. We hope to return next year but are hoping for a more accurately described and suited unit.

“Ponderosa 421”

Beautifully furnished and remodeled quiet end unit. It was very clean and well equipped also. My only complaint was the queen bed upstairs was too hard to sleep on and we had to move downstairs to the twin beds. We love the location.

“Beautiful vacation place ..”

Awesome place the only thing I would change is the bed up stairs to a queen and a little softer mattress .

“excellent location”

Reviewed 22 Aug 2015

excellent location to the parks and the town of jasper, ample parking space, quiet location. The only fault was the shortage of soap bars, two bars/bathroom for six days staying three days is a very minimal, but this is not a major issue

“Ponderosa was a Bonanza!”

Excellent rental, very clean, and refreshing smelling upon entrance. Only thing was there was no air conditioning. being from the south it seemed strange but the windows opened and it was very refreshing to feel the cool breeze at night.

“Pictures don't do it justice!”

This condo is much nicer than the pictures show. Be advised if you are looking for a good view of the Tetons from this unit, you will not get it. They were to the right side of the deck, but were obscured by the trees. When we arrived in mid July, the unit was very stuffy and hot. There is no air conditioning, but that was quickly remedied by opening all windows and placing the fans near the windows. We kept thoses going night and day to keep the unit cool and it worked very well. Even with the windows opened and tourists as well as residents nearby, we were never disturbed by noise. It is a very peaceful section of the Aspens community. Also, if you arrive after dark, be sure to take a flashlight. The condo is difficult to find after dark. The housekeeping was excellent - in fact, the best we have ever experienced in a VRBO. There were ample linens, thick and absorbent towels, and comfortable bedding. We did eat at Stieglers, an Austrian restaurant on the property. It was a nice evening of fine dining, but it is pricey ($110 for two without drinks). During the summer months, access to Grand Teton National Park via the Granite Entrance is a quick drive just up the road from the Aspens. If you are looking for a nice hike in search of tranquility, take the moderately easy hike in the Laurance Rockefeller Preserve out to Phelps Lake. We saw abundant wildlife and beautiful wildflowers, and enjoyed getting away from the crowds at Jenny Lake and Yellowstone. We cannot wait to go back in different seasons and would not hesitate to stay at Ponderosa 421 again.

“Nice”

A great place. My family of 4 spent 9 days skiing in Jackson hike and other activities. The condo was spacious and clean. Well stocked with linens and cleaning supplies. Easy access 10 minute drive to either town or Teton Village. We would come back.

“Very comfortable vacation rental.”

We had a wonderful experience. The check in procedure was quick and well-organized. The management staff were helpful and courteous. Our condo was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location was close to great restaurants and the Teton Village.

“Basically excellent”

Reviewed 18 Sep 2013

This facility was clean and well maintained. We had no technical or other issues during our stay. My only reason for marking it down one star is that the first floor of this two-story unit is located on the second floor, and that wasn't clear in the description. Ground-level entry is a factor for us, and there was no mention anywhere in the description that the first floor was up a flight of stairs. That's why I did not indicate recommending this facility for older travelers or people with disabilities. Also, check-in is at a remote location, about a 15- to 20-minute drive away. This is an inconvenience we've not had to deal with when doing other Vrbo rentals.

“Wonderful stay”

Ponderosa 421 is a clean, quiet, and comfortable condo. It is conveniently located halfway between Jackson Hole and the Grand Teton National Park. The aspens community has a restaurant and grocery store in the area. The only thing we didn't like was the lack of air conditioning. However, with fans provided in each bedroom, we quickly adjusted. And our stay in July was unusually hot for the area. We would stay at Ponderosa 421 again! Great place :)
