Country Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4, 5 if someone wants to sleep on the couch)

We are very pet friendly.

The design was inspired by a Japanese farm house.

The kitchen is fully equipped and offers coffee,oil,spices,condiments,& seasonings. You will find Calphalon cookware and Sabatier knives.

The cottage is located 20 miles west of Charlottesville, home of the University of Virginia and Monticello. It is 25 minutes from Wintergreen, which offers golf, and skiing and horseback riding.

Staunton, which is renowned for its Victorian architecture, is 25 minutes west. In Staunton you will find The Museum of American Frontier Culture, the birthplace of Woodrow Wilson, and the Blackfriar's Playhouse, in addition to excellent restaurants and numerous other cultural and sightseeing opportunities.

The Shenandoah National Park and the Appalachian Trail are only 15 minutes away as are 3 breweries and 10, or more, wineries. Numerous restaurants, offering everything from fine dining to good old country fare, are within 15 minutes.

UVA Visitors, we are just 20 miles from Scott Stadium, John Paul Jones Arena and THE ROTUNDA. Most of that is Interstate 64.

Whether you are looking for a quiet retreat or a central location from which to explore Central Virginia, we think you will enjoy our little gem. After hiking the Appalachian Trail, antiquing, touring the local wineries, or merely sleeping late, curl up in front of the fireplace with a good book or relax on the deck and enjoy the mountains and the stars.

House rules

We do not rent to persons under 25 without prior approval.
Strip bed(s) and leave sheets in the hamper. Put damp or dirty towels in the washing machine. Fold bedspreads, blankets, etc. and leave on top of the bed. Return furniture to where it was. Place trash in the can inside the back door. No Smoking in the house. No illegal drugs will be used on the property. Do not use the cottage towels or washcloths if you use Proactiv or any other skin treatment which contains benzoyl peroxide.
