The Dirtyface Lodge is a spacious and inviting mountain retreat located in Lake Wenatchee, just outside of Leavenworth, Washington.

The lodge is situated on 3 wooded acres in a quaint and quiet neighborhood with over 5,000 square feet that can easily accommodate your friends and family on your mountain getaway. The Lodge is not rented by the room or building. This complete privacy is what makes The Dirtyface Mountain Lodge such a unique destination for a family gathering..

Our brand new covered 8 person hot tub is open year round and our large sparkling pool is open seasonally.

Getting around

What appeals to us as the owners of the lodge is the fact that we are remote. We are not in the town of Leavenworth, which keeps us away from the crowds unless we are ready for it. We love that we are near amenities but are outside enough of the area to have some elbow room.

Interaction with guest

We will not be at the property, although our caretaker might be on site from time to time to check on the pool and hot tub or snowblowing the area depending on the season. We are always available to text/call/email to answer any questions.

Response from the owner Adam, I'm so sorry I am just now getting to your review. I was not aware of this review. Yes, you are correct. We had a water issue in the neighborhood with the well. The chlorination was not working correctly so the sulfur smell was coming through with an apparent vengeance. No one should have had to deal with that smelliness! The guests after you let me know and I was able to correct the situation very quickly since I was notified. I did not hear from you other than this review, so I apologize for not being able to help your situation immediately. Our water board had an emergency meeting after your stay and purchased a new chlorinator so that should not be a repeat issue. I apologize for the other issues you had as well. I will talk to our caretakers about the grill cleaning. I'm not sure which room you were in with the curtains, but we'll double check them all. We just added new screens to most windows. The boards on the fence were all power washed and a repair was made on one fence due to the ice and snow from the winter prior and another repair was completed after a bear decided to take a nap up against the fence and busted several boards. We also added extra pool tables, umbrellas, chairs and pads. The beds are a personal preference. We got rid of one that we thought was horrendously soft and uneven and yet a Legacy Guest (one of our many that come back year after year) was so upset that we replaced it. She said she would have bought it from us as it was her favorite. So, it's tough to figure. We do pride ourselves on our beds as we have received consistently high praises for the beds and bedding. Seating is also difficult. We had very plush chairs everywhere but guests were using them to jump off of and many seats were busted through the middle so we have replaced them with wooden chairs and metal bar stools. Much longer lasting but maybe not the most cushy to sit on. We do replace the sofas and couches about every two-three years with top of the line 100% leather couches. There is one exception with one large wooden couch that had been in need of replacing every year because the frames of the other couches were getting broken nearly every year. We finally settled on the wooden couch with pads and it's lasted much longer. We truly apologize that you didn't have the five star experience we try to set for every guest. We sometimes strike out but do our best to learn from criticism and do better. How do damage deposits work?

If Margaret (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
