“A special place”

Reviewed 9 Jan 2015

My wife and I recently stayed here for two weeks and had a wonderful time. The location is excellent, the area has a multitude of activities and Stephanie with Caribe Sur Rentals was always available before and during our trip to answer questions, help with reservations and make recommendations for restaurants and activities. The house sits behind Punta Uva beach on a beautifully landscaped lot and as noted in another review has all amenities. We took a jungle tour with Abel Bustamante which was exciting, educational and fun, visited the Jaguar Rescue Center in town(private tour recommended) and the Wildlife Rescue Center in Moin, hiked Cahuita National Park and couldnt find a bad restaurant. As always, the incredibly friendly, helpful, gracious Costa Rican people made every day a treasure. As an example, we got lost trying to find the Moin Wildlife Rescue Center and ended up in some industrial complex where a guard who didnt speak English got a guard who did to give us directions. Well, we got lost again and another local person offered to help and was calling the center on his phone for directions when the guard we spoke with pulled up in his pickup truck to make sure we were okay. He had followed to check on us. The only disappointment we had was not being able to snorkel. The water was excellent for swimming and body surfing but too rough for snorkeling. You can check the surf levels at if interested. So, lots of stuff to do close by and/or relaxing/ reading in a hammock listening to the sound of the water aint bad either.

“This place is amazing!”

My husband and I just returned from Casa Robinson. We stayed in the house for the past two weeks sharing it with my sister and her boyfriend and we all adored it!!! The pictures don't do the property justice, it's a super cute house in the midst of beautiful landscaping. The beach directly out front was so spectacular that we barely felt the need to driv to other beaches ( as we have in the past - its our third trip to the area). The house is very well sealed to keep out any tropical friends, which is very rare!! I can't wait to go back!!! I highly recommend this house and we won't be staying anywhere else ;0)

“June getaway”

I received a quick and good service from the company. The home is beautiful and perfect for the beach, and is well situated in a peaceful surroundings. I would like to suggest the following to improve the house: - A better cleaning of the bathroom, specially the shower. - Better cleaning and/or replacement of the bed linings. - Replace the clear roofing for normal ceilings, during the day it gets very hot. - Small repairs must to be done: the exterior laundy sink drainage, the secondary room ceiling fan light; both slidding doors.

We loved it! Clear blue bath warm water. Clean beach. Groceries nearby along with a few good eateries. We read and napped in the hammocks and enjoyed each others company. It's was my daughters 21st birthday present and she said there is nothing better we could have given her. There were some stinging ants we could have done without...

Location, location, location! This bungalow is in the best spot along the Caribbean coast. The beach is fabulous and just steps away while house is still private. Loved the hammocks. Owners were very responsive and helpful. Would strongly suggest renting a car. Just loved all the small restaurants like Jungle Love and Pecora Nera. Bumpy roads got old but kept the crowds down.

“Great holiday!”

This is a very cozy and lovely place to stay. It is very well looked after, trimmed gardens, incredible bird life & fauna and the overall accommodation is recommended. We had a great time and definitely will go back!

“Beach-perfect holiday home”

Casa Robinson is in a perfect location for a Caribbean vacation in Costa Rica. It's at Punta Uva - a quiet, unspoilt beach area 10km south of Puerto Viejo. The beach was just 20 steps from the front door and we shared the beach with no more than 5 people - ever! The beach is clean and the sea, depending on the weather, calm or more exciting! Foir these reasons alone we would recommend Casa Robinson. My husband and I stayed there with a couple from UK, old friends. We arrived late but were checked in immediately and looked after. The house had everything needed - even games for those wet days. Only one grouse about the house - it could do with some new crockery and some more useful kitchen items like a salad bowl. The garden is very pretty and well maintained and there are lovely hammocks for lazy days. There is a restaurant near, though we never went there because we ate in town with friends. But the local restaurant is a great resource if you don't want to get in the car again. Least favourable aspect - we spent Christmas there so there was no cleaning service because of the way the days fell, though when we asked for new towels and a clean through it was provided. Best aspect - a toss up between the perfect location and a really sweet house at a reasonable price for 4 people. Thanks all!
